- Budapest, Hungary has a similar mix of different transit modes: have a look here: • Trains and Trolleys of...
The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) is a regional municipal authority that operates various forms of public transit - bus, subway and elevated rail, commuter rail, light rail, and electric trolley bus - that serve 3.8 million people in and around Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
-included in video: pcii, white streetcars (or kalawasaki trams), subway (underground and elevated), bus, trolley bus and regional septa trains
Excelentes tranvias, trenes, autobuses y trolebuses de Philadelphia.
I love Philadelphia, it's like a scaled down - pas-tense version of NYC (how it used to be.. urban & real). The transit system there is on point, and FAST.. the trolleys (LRV) are a joy to use and the way the link up with the subway is commendable (this is something the MTA should consider here for us in NYC, with neighborhoods a good distance away from the subway - buses are far too slow and unreliable for this task). They even run on the same gage trackage.. Impressive
I think I love SEPTA more than everybody because I got SEPTA toys I watch vids of it and I get on there a lot and I am from philly I love it I live down frankford near the Market-Frankford Line
The rolling stock on the MFL really takes off, excellent torque on departure. I miss that here in NYC with our new SLOW tech trains. And how I wish we had mixed use streetcars (surface and subway) service again too. It would greatly benefit the outer boroughs .....
I'm from philly and I've been on SEPTA all my life and I love it ,I begs my mom for me to get to 69th street to see my aunt on the Market-Frankford Line when I grow up and I get a summer job I'm going to work for SEPTA I think it's better than mta cta and mbta I love SEPTA😀😀😀👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿😃😃😊😊😊😊😎😎😎☺️😌🚍🚇🚞🚊🚔👈🏿 SEPTA police
A+ for excellent video footage; B+ for the accompanying music.
Haven't really been back to Philly since 82, recognize the Broad St subway, 30th St station upper level, Market-Franfort EL, subway-surface cars, etc, but the vehicles are all so NEW!!!! Commuter rail (Reading/PRR) still looks pretty much the same though except for the new paint jobs, and of course Reading Terminal no longer has trains :(
Love SEPTA!
Nice video Xcept for the music. It would have been nice to actually hear whatever you were filming... Good video shoot otherwise!..

Yep and guess what the old buses are probably coming back
But In a few years
Nicely done! I didn't mix scenes in my videos, but if I decide to video again, I will follow this format. Again, thanks.
It is nice that they run the old streetcars, in the UK you would have to go a museum site to that apart from Blackpool but modernisation is going on so I don't know if that still happens at the moment.
