I probably overuse the word LOVE, but here goes anyway. I loved seeing your pop-up - thank you for sharing it, and that you found joy and sales despite the rain (OF COURSE IT WOULD RAIN!!!). I loved watching you work on the horizontal paper pieces, how you gave yourself over to mark-making and the possibilities. The evolution, even over a few days was fascinating. I love how you shared your experience with the "baby heater" -- haven't we all been there at some point in our lives!!! I loved seeing your garden behind you in one of the shots, and I guess finally I loved your chaotic enthusiasm when you discovered the possibility of working on the two rectangular canvases! Thank you (so much gratitude) for bringing joy and enthusiasm to what appears to be a rather dreary, rainy Spring morning! 🥰
Whenever I watch you Gaynor I am itching to get the paints out! Your developing artwork looks fresh and exciting. Thank you for giving a glimpse of your pop up shop. Such a shame about the rain but it sounds like you had a good day and met some lovely people. Sharon.....my best plan when things have gone awry.....bring the painting to the house, I always sit in the same spot for breakfast, lunch and supper, put it in your eye line. Trust me, it might take a few days, a week or so, but it will eventually start talking 😂 JUST KEEP GOING 😍

Hi Fiona, WHY has it taken such a long time to come to realise that ' doing' kills procrastination 😂 My other default is to say yes and then beat a hasty retreat !!! Hi Gaynor, more Thursday joy and creativity, I love the landscape format and your free gestural mark making it reminds me very much of large beach pebbles with streakes of the orangey brown seaweed poking through. I am fortunate to see many different beaches on my kayaking adventures they often have fishing nets, blue and green ropes, fantastic sea kelp (orangey brown) and lovely clumps of sea pinks (thrift), many different shells, just thought it might fire your imagination, can't wait to see next weeks video xx.

@@gaynorpattle Hi Gaynor. The temperature in the day is still quite warm, usually 27-30 but the evenings are cooler which makes sleep a bit easier. Its late summer/autumn now, will get cold in about july/august. In about April the temperatures here in Durban are very similar to southern England, sadly without the daffodils and other spring flowers. Our climate is sub tropical so all my efforts to grow even bulbs come to naught.
@@gaynorpattle I've made the signatures for my new art journal and I so liked some of your flowers that I decided to put some echanacias on the front of the repurposed cover of a recipe book which is now ready to receive my pages. (You had a picture with some of them in). I'm too stuck on being realistic so I;ll have to paint them with something other than a brush. But its still to hot to paint! Next month should be cooler
Finding what ur eye will appreciate to put into future paintings...by keeping cut outs posted on a cork board (whatever) and taking pix. Then, draw it 50-100 times. Do you still like the original?
