My first thought when I saw that you were going to be starting corms in your garage was about your precious Grandpa. I have no doubt that he’s watching over you. ♥️
Have been watching your videos from the time you started and I really enjoyed it and I still do very much but after you open your nursery, have been seeing more about the process of making , cleaning, ordering xoxo so missing those old videos where you give us such peaceful moments and very therapeutic videos of you just harvesting all those beautiful flowers and making bouquets all those porch sales I really really really miss those days styles of videos hope to see more of such videos this year too looking forward to it love just the way you are and such beautiful flowers makes me wana be a flower farmer 😊
I agree. I love all of Nicole's videos, but my favourite are the bouquet making ones, when she chats to us on the porch and showes us all those beautiful flowers. I would also love to see more of those again this year😊
If I lived closer, I would be there with you planting ! Love you and your videos. Also, you look beautiful without makeup. And Brad Pitt has pretty hair. Can’t wait for all the beautiful flowers 🌺🌼🌸🌹🌷🌻
I love no make up face! Thank you for being You and being so honest about everything. So realistic and forgiving. Your flowers are always beautiful, love from zone 5b WI
Hey, how are you and your family? I have a questions for you. 1.Where do you buy your tulip bulbs? 🌷 2.Have you ever ordered any blue tulips in the past? I hope that you, your family, friends, and pets have a blessed and great day. I enjoy watching your channel and God bless you.
Kissing up to the sky- Love you Grandpa! I'm shocked at how many and how close you put Anemones. I love that Brad hangs out with you! Happy Valentine's Day to both of you! Happy to see your puppies too! Cheers to 2024 Growing Season! Peace.
Roflol Nicole!!!! The Rubbermaid container being the US official measuring tool! Hahahaha so true actually! Whenever I am making a gravy or roux that needs warmed milk and/or broth, I actually do use the Rubbermaid containers lol. They have measurements imprinted on the sides. One side in US cups and the other I believe is liters. So yes, it is an official measuring tool hahahahaha. I don't think that the off brands have the measurements marked. But Rubbermaid has them on all their various sized storage containers. Which is why I love that brand. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
And she's back!! Glad to see you. I can totally relate to how you felt about Grandpa not being there. ugh! The firsts are always really tough, especially in the garden since he was such a big part of that. I lost my dad and everytime I do something he would be a part of (painting, sowing seeds, gardening, etc), it hits hard. And like you I feel like he's right next to me. It's still sad though that we don't get to see them again. You always crack me up though.
You keep getting me to like flowers that I didn't necessarily notice before. It's getting expensive, Lol! 😂 Thank you for the inspiring and entertaining content, Nicole! Miss your Granddad, too. ❤🇨🇦
Bless your heart! You are so down to earth about all that you do and always explaining as you go. Just love it. I've never tried anemones..will need to do that! Still wrestling with ranunc. I have to plant them out in the market patch and don't do well. I think grpa came through there a couple of times..have to chuckle about 2 dumps!!!! Yep keep your anemones close...lol Can't wait to see that new greenhouse full. We broke a record temp here in In. yesterday,2/9, at 62 degrees!
you are one of the very few flower people on the internets actually saying AneMonNes. I really appreciaten that. Not that it's important. But hearing AneNoMes drives me nuts😂
There something soothing about planting or sowing and chatting.😊. Wow, already February and it feels like we are on the cusp of…spring yet it is still winter. I’m already started peppers and some flowers under grow lights.
One of the things I like to do in the spring, I spread the snow out to help it melt faster. As an alternative to watering, maybe spread some snow like compost or mulch.
Aww your miniature hippos are so curious about the new goodies you got. Love ranunculus sooooo much, although I have poopoo luck with them unless I get them from a nursery. My grandpa used to take me to a nursery near his house and buy me some potted ranunculus every year. He was like your grandpa, a funny life of the party supportive of all his grandkids, and if they meet in heaven you can bet they will be peas in a pod. I've never tried anemones, but I would love to plant some. my daffodils are so tall already this year and I'm so excited about it. Aside from ranunculus and columbines they are my favorites. They usually bloom around my birthday (March 6th) but I might get some before St. Valentine's Day this year. Columbines i love because they grow so well for me, i got seeds from my parents (pink) grandma before she moved out of her home (blue and white) and some started plants from my church grandma (solid blue and a solid white that has a hint of pink). I have to move them all this year, so fingers crossed they survive!!
I am so sorry about your grandpa he was so sweet enjoyed what he was doing we lost my grandson in august in car wreck.he had a Baby A month old.I know your Judy
A couple dumps😂😂😂😂 Love your sense of humor 🤣 My first year trying ranunculus here in Florida. Just got my first bud. I'm going to try anemones this fall.
I can't grow peonies in SoCal but I've seen that Full Star Red White in pictures before and think it might be a substitute. I planted my MIdnight Mix anemone corms in November. One just started to bloom.
"Took a couple dumps" had me snort laughing 😂... a sure sign of exhaustion. It has been a week. But TH-cam is the best distraction 😁 thank you thank you!
Love how you've setup your basement with the shelves, lights, and plastic. I have my office (spare bedroom) setup up with shelves, heat pads, and pink grow lights. I have to close the door or my silly cat tries to eat the seedlings. We have very little room in the office. I'd kill for more room (a basement). Love watching your chanel. Know Grandpa is with you while your planting.
Grandpa is cheering those corms into life from above!! Happy days when spring is around the corner... don't know how you guys survive your cold, I barely make it through our mild Cape Town wintets!!😅
Anemone corms looked like Hersheys kisses to me, lol😂 Just in time for V-day 🥰 Thanks for the video, love the humor you bring. It's always a highlight to my day. Cheers!!
Great video! I just checked my ranunculus presoaked on 1/30/24 and they have lots of sprouts. Thanks! I didn't check earlier because I didn't remember them sprouting so quickly. I also am growing lots of anemones. They are so hardy and I love the varieties. I have anemones that are showing lots of leaves that overwintered with here in southern Wisconsin. They have mulch but I may cover if we get really cold without snow. When it was cold, we had snow cover. I plant my anemones and ranunculus out in mid March and use superhoops and row covers.
Hi Nicole, love your videos! I am a new grower, also in zone 4, so it your videos help me from a timing perspective as well. Question: Will your ranunculus and anemones sprout if your grow room temps are over 55 degrees? My grow lights are in my basement utility room and temps are more like low to mid 60's. Thanks!
Okay, so if you are planting all of these corms into your own big hoophouse, does it matter to keep the labels since once they start blooming you'll know what's what? I might be totally wrong but usually I mix things up and then I figure it out later. Sometimes it works. 🙃
New to your channel . We're starting a small greenhouse family business this year and was wondering when is a good time to start vegetables and annual flowers we were thinking withing the next week or so. We do have a full setup in our spare room and we're also only 30 minutes from you in little falls thank you in advance
I have anemones in my border and every year a mouse eats the leaves and buds. I have tried sprinkling garlic granules on them but it has not deterred the mouse.
Made me laugh when you were talking about accents and the British guy saying vitamins , I'm from Britain and when we say Herbs,, we say the H Americas say erbs They don't say the H, isn't it so funny , aww I wish I could start my seeds but I'm in far north Britain and we have -1oc temperatures , far to cold for anything 😩

Love listening to you just before bed, makes me feel like all is right in the world.
I just read a article from Floret and she suggested just sprinkle them on the surface. So way to go Grandpa. ❤
I can't believe those labels survived your waterboarding! Kudos ❤

You crack me up!! A couple dumps of us metric Rubbermaid scoops on top...precisely 😂❤
Grandpa ♥ I was just gonna say he would just want you to be doing what you're doing and then you said that. 🙂

I love your Bills hat Nicole!! I am from western NY and grow flowers to sell bouquets at my roadside stand. Your videos have helped a lot.
Exciting!
Lol Brad is a man of many words, but I seen the 16 year old him come out when he launched a Sunflower at you 🤣😂
Absolutely! He is the opposite of me. He thinks BEFORE he speaks :)
He had plenty of practice the other way as well lmao! @@FlowerHillFarm
Nice to see some things starting to grow. Happy Valentines Day to you and Brad. 💕😊🦋🕊
You are just adorable, and I love watching you. I have one anemone and I have to get more. Thank you for being so real.

The full star red white look stunning I'm growing them for the first time this year. Grandpa will always be with you ❤

It is going to be strange this year without grandpa. I can’t wait to see a video on how your new greenhouse and garden plan is coming along!❤
I can't grow peonies in SoCal but I've seen that Full Star Red White in pictures before and think it might be a substitute. I planted my MIdnight Mix anemone corms in November. One just started to bloom.

Thanks for the video, love the humor you bring. It's always a highlight to my day. Cheers!!
Hi Nicole! Just wondering if you have a vid on starting larkspur seeds. Thanks! (I know they can be fussy…🙄)
So exciting! I absolutely love your jokes!❤😂

I love your tv anchor "and they're still.......o....k..."

You don’t add anything like compost/fertilizer in the Promix?
I had some of the full star a few years ago. My problem with them is they stayed super short.
Maybe I'm just hungry, but those corms all lined up in the soil look like chocolate chips on a brownie.
"I take a couple dumps" hahahaha
Do you over winter anything, like cool season hardy annuals? Lisa Mason Ziegler style????
New to your channel . I don’t understand how you will separate these when you are ready to plant. Do you have another video showing how your separate?
Do you plant anenomies the same time as ranunculus outside or do they need it warmer? No hoophouse here. First timer with your anenomies 🎉!
Sorry, but I wanted to ask do you like the pro mix fine or the medium? Thanks for all you do. Love the channel.
do you plan to sell some of the ranunculus as potted plants in the nursery?
I have anemones in my border and every year a mouse eats the leaves and buds. I have tried sprinkling garlic granules on them but it has not deterred the mouse.
You are hilarious!!!
Where did those corms come from please
I’ve not tried Full Star before but the red/white one looks gorgeous! What kind of stem lengths do you get with them?
You are freaking hilarious!! You have me laughing… and I bet Brad Pitt cracks up inside at your jokes.
Would you be able to and willing to ship to Canada?
Micrometer micrometer lol. Your mind works just like my mind.
Never mind. I looked at you link and it clearly states US only.
Great channel, subbed a while ago and keep coming back for more! Keep it up.
You have Shar peis!!!
They look more like Hershey kisses than acorns 😅
I can see what you mean! They are the same size, shape and texture of the acorns in my woods so that's where my mind goes first :)
What temperature do you start them in? What’s the temperature in your basement?
You may have said, but if so I missed it.
It’s between 55-60 degrees down there. I don’t think I mentioned it in todays video
@@FlowerHillFarm awesome, thank you! I’ll be starting mine this week! ☺️
❤
Maybe someday you'll be able to watch those videos of your grandpa planting, while you are actually planting.. Too soon right now, I know..
Your tooooo cute!
You say acorn, I say chocolate chips 🍫 or inverted 💩
😅
Is Brad Pitt rocking a mullet?
Diary of a CEO - second that recommendation.
Made me laugh when you were talking about accents and the British guy saying vitamins , I'm from Britain and when we say Herbs,, we say the H Americas say erbs
They don't say the H, isn't it so funny , aww I wish I could start my seeds but I'm in far north Britain and we have -1oc temperatures , far to cold for anything 😩
🤍🤍🤍
Déjà vu lol
"Keep your friends close and your Anemones closer." You silly girl.
..if you can design THE PERFECT POTTERY VESSELS for Arrangements…not even one small flower of yours will be useless! And ima buy a bunch of ur vessels

Hahahahhahahhahahah
