    Next time you do a video can you ask Mo exactly what is holding him up from getting on the Euro or PGA Tour
    The guy hits a great ball and works his backside off on his game so it appears he has the potential
    What is it that he feels is the area he needs to improve to live the dream on the big tour ??

      There are no events running anywhere that he can go to. He has been without tournaments for months on end now. The Golf Sidekick channel supports him occasionally but i can only do so much. I have always dreamed of getting him to the USA. HOPEFULLY in 2022 with the help of the playa community.

    It was funny hearing Matt talk about standing over a Pro V1 and thinking "don't hook it into the water". Personally, I have a hard time even hitting the ones that I find cause I don't want to lose them.

    • @kevinspradlin6288
      @kevinspradlin6288 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I have found so many from the fearful players that I now have no fear of hitting one...I lose my share of course, but I know I will find more. Getting better means being willing to lose some balls because you have balls enough to hit them.

    • @jackkinoff6943
      @jackkinoff6943 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You need to get over that fear
      It's only a golf ball
      Go for a wander around the golf course some time and you will eventually get a bucketload of balls
      Once you don't fear losing them for some reason you don't seem to lose them
      I would lose 1 ball every 10 or so rounds around my home course
      And that would 95% of the time be because I can't find it in the trees because we holding lick up the ricochet

  • @brianmurray4199

    I use the inesis let's face it I'm not good enough to tell the difference. I so like the way they feel I have no problem spinning them and stopping them with wedges and irons. And they are much easier on the wallet when losing them😁

    Try Snell. They're as close as I've seen to Titleist consistency in a budget brand. Where Titleist differentiates itself is just in the shocking consistency ball to ball. Their QC is unmatched. If you buy 12 balls, you can bet they'll perform the same if you hit similar shots.

    • @adamjacobson3698
      @adamjacobson3698 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I was going to say this as well... I bought a dozen of the MTB Black and find them to be fantastic in terms of spin, feel, and durability. Before I thought that the Bridgestone was my second choice to Titleist, now I would happily say that Snell is because the price is amazing and the quality is every bit as good.

    • @adamjacobson3698
      @adamjacobson3698 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Real28 I also spin the ball a lot, and like the feel of the ProV1s… there might be a touch more firmness to the snell, but spin is pretty nice I keep it around 2200-2600 with the driver and that’s a nice improvement, bad ones will be around 2900-3200 with other balls. Feel is somewhat similar to the B330 as well

      Snell is good. Prov is good. Inesis is good. Taylormade is good. Callaway is good. Bridgestone is good. Every single urethane ball on the market will be the exact same as the other for any golfer higher than a 1 handicap. Mo played goddamn Srixon Soft Feel up until he was scratch.

    Great video as always Baus Matt! I think the golf ball situation is fascinating. For years I avoided playing tour-level balls because of the cost and exactly what you're describing - not wanting to lose one so I would be tentative over the shot. I played Kirklands for 3+ years and brought my handicap from a 12 to a 6 with them. A great ball at the time. That said, as I improved and got more consistent with my ball striking, I found the Kirklands were not a good fit (too much spin) and I did notice the occasional questionable shot (good swing, ball off the planet). I switched to a Titleist Pro V1x "Left Dash" based on a ball fitting and never looked back. Best ball for my game and I find that knowing the ball will perform for me allows me to swing freely. TL:DR - play what you want and makes you feel comfortable. When you're good, you can play the nice balls b/c you won't lose many and they will perform better for you at that skill level.

    That confirm my choice of change for one year. No real difference except may be more spin with Inesis with a little loss of distance and a higher launch, but i hit a french ball without paying a part of pga tour shirt or hat 😂😂!! And now a play over the lake and not left or right for preventing miss hit and splashball.😂
    And the cost in France is 22,5€/dozen or 26$. I can send you a mallet if you want !!!

    I was shook when I read the ball data from MGS testing. Took me a couple days of fasting, sweat lodge and heavy drinking to get my head right again. Great video. The only thing that I would add would be a camera on the green that picks up how the ball lands and reacts on the wedges. I play the Maxfli CG's from Golf Galaxy. Two dozen for $60 US and you can usually complete a survey to get $10 off so it's $50 for two boxes and those balls are excellent.

    Mo's driving is absolutely incredible! I agree there isn't a lot between them and it is just personal preference or what you have confidence in mostly. I kind of split the difference and pick up used like new Pro V1s for $10-$20/dozen and play those for most rounds and save the brand new ones for special occasions.

The Avg handicap of a amatuer golfer is 17. I am a 17. and l rather by 2 dozen Titliest Tru Feels or Callaway Super Softs. then one dozen Pro Vs, Callaways Chrome Softs or Taylor Made TP5 X.s. that is just me. with a 17 handicap the only difference l notice is the soft feel on approach shots which l prefer. Keep up the great vids. l have learned alot in the past 2 yrs from you. awesome job

    There is a difference between the two and it’s guaranteed quality. The cheaper ball will have a higher probability of production errors vs Titleist. That’s why you pay more. This is per Mygolfspy data.

    From everything I have seen, (I play them on and off), the Inesis characteristics with Irons are very good! The question is it’s distance with the driver is lacking! A couple of good takes from this. One the Inesis is firmer and less spin. Pro V1 is softer with more spin. That’s typically what I’ve seen with Vice too. I’ve put all high end Vice balls up against the ProV1, and the ProV1 always wins me over! I’ve even gone to Taylor Made and Callaway. Plus I have just hit my first hole-in-one yesterday using a ProV1 number 5, so I’ll never change now!

    • @dmkfactor1721
      @dmkfactor1721 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@johnhatch3071 thanks, everyone’s swing is different too many factors for one ball to be the best. I was having trouble with every ball going to high and no spin. I switched and the flight came down for me spin went up. I gained almost 10 yards (per Arccos) AND I can actually work the ball which I was never able to do before. I love putting with it, and I can spin it around the greens and take spin off! I can’t do any of that with any other ball I’ve tried. Trust me I’ve tried everything! I’ve gone cheap 2 piece to high end 4 piece balls. This just works for me! I do like the Trufeels too, I used those this past winter and liked them, just can’t spin them around the greens as much.

  • @patrickborelli8144
    @patrickborelli8144 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Small differences in averages can hide large deviations in max and min performance. The 15 yard gap in shortest drive to longest drive would be exacerbated with wind and roll-out. The higher flight with lower spin may produce more flyers and less predictability from the rough. This was a great test though. Shows that if you just want to have fun anything can work. If you want to shoot low eliminate as many variables as possible.

    Titleist claims through testing the biggest advantage their ball gives the amateur golfer is around the green, with partial pitches and chips. I’d have to find the TXG video where they cited the experiment. I will say I 100% agree that lost ball anxiety is real. I play a premium ball, currently V1X, and the biggest thrill I derive from playing, certainly at a detriment to my scores, is hitting bombs. I’ll openly admit that. However there are holes that I simply will not hit the big dog because the hole is tight or there’s PTSD Pond on the right that I’m all too familiar with, out of fear that I’ll splash it and I hear the cash register bell in my head. I am however trying to combat that. I am trying to play with a “respect all shots, fear none” mentality and hold myself accountable to perform under those situations. But still, the course I’m trying to conquer right now scares me away from pulling driver due to the tightness of the course. Not necessarily for fear of putting up a big number, but the ball. And I need to get over that.

    If you're Mo, those 8 yards off the tee are worth the money, especially since he probably only loses 2 balls a year.

    I would bet that the price itself isn’t particularly important compared to the ball characteristics. A $4 soft ball and a .50 soft ball are probably more similar than the price equivalent harder balls.
    More succinctly, there is more difference across categories than within them.

  • @DirtySanchez1973
    @DirtySanchez1973 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    For me I don't really notice much difference between balls off the tee, I look for something with a high spin rate so I can hold the greens. I used to play rocks when I was younger and they would always run off the back. Average golfers probably won't have much distance variation but there might be a mental thing about playing a certain ball, just more confidence. I know there's some balls that for whatever reason just give me a mental fart when I'm standing over them.

    To be honest, the website did a pretty scientific test, however, they used a robot and we are not robots, so it will have a different effect on the balls. The Kirkland golf ball has been regarded as the highest spinning ball of the driver at the moment and a lot of players are reporting they are losing distance due to excess spin, however, it is not happening to my own testing. So I guess only take the review as a starting point and do your own test, unlike golf clubs, golf balls are quite cheap to test so just choose the one you like the best. Happy playing Playas

    proves exactly what I thought, it's the person not the equipment that makes the difference, just like any sport. Don't waste your money buying new clubs every couple of years and don't waste money on expensive golf balls, unless you have money to waste. Unless you are one of the best players in the world, you will not notice any difference and not be able to experience the difference, your skill has to be maxed out to start feeling equipment improvements.
