Assumerole is actually very dangerous. Recently in a red team activity, we were able to get access to a whole organisation unit that had 72 ec2 instances and a lot of databases all because of that.

There is no SSL encryption no wonder that it is easy to compromise that service. Nice demo but not a real-world scenario.
