Like, with the Ardainian music, how 3/4 of the instruments have steampunk-esque descriptors(pipe, steamwork, hammerplate), and the last one is Army-Issue. Yeah about Tora there is no real proof of him being Ardainian. We meet Muimui here and Tora moving to Torigoth after the lab was attacked and that's all we know for sure. Just because Muimui is in Mor Ardain does not mean the lab/Tora's parents were in Mor Ardain at the time. Hell there is good evidence that more points to Uryra due a certain folio being hidden there (Wink wink). Tora being Ardainain is a nice head-cannon but ultimately an assumption. PS. Not saying he is from Uryra just making a point.

I thought it was the same place or one very like it and was in just another settlement of gormott. Later on doesn't help to confirm him specifically being from mor ardain or not, either.
He isn't, at least not conclusively. Chugga's basing it off of meeting Muimui here therefore the lab that Tora's parents worked at must be here to, but that is an assumption. Nothing proves where the lab was/where Tora's parents lived.
Early upload ho! Things Emile Missed: -Around the back corner where the Land Volffs are, you can jump up into some of the metal alcoves. One of them (closest one you can get to towards the port) has a treasure trove with some decent amount of gold and an Electric Def Up II. You might’ve noticed that there’s a cloud sea tide icon previously. The Mor Ardain Titan is the other Titan who is affected by the Cloud Sea tide besides the Gormott Titan. It’s limited to these two, and changing the tide doesn’t do much but impede some of your exploration (there’s like one treasure trove and some collection points you can’t get unless it’s high tide here so I wouldn’t mess with it unless you’re gunning for those or you don’t like the prospect of falling into bottomless pits). Even in Gormott it doesn’t do that much looking back. Kinda wish they did more with the Cloud Sea tides and the exploration aspect honestly. You know what would make Muimui’s name even better? If you added a p after every i. 0:48 In fairness, Mor Ardain is not a small Titan. There’s plenty to explore of this humanoid giant, and we’ll be roaming these wastes a lot. Plus, it’d be kinda silly to put your port so far away from the nearest city never mind the capital city, so... 4:20 If by wreckage you mean treasure, then yes, it’s very important to know where the good loot is! How about the adventure you’re currently on, Rex? 5:01 C’mon dude, you have Blades for Salvaging Wisdom. None of them have Driver Wisdom. 6:22 Ah, so it’s the Xenoblade method. 7:40 Nothing to stop you from sending her out on Merc Missions so she’s at least doing something with her time. Also if you think that’s bad, Crossette’s affinity chart can also spoil Mythra’s existence before you even first meet Mythra in Chapter 3. 11:22 Not part of the game, but I feel like there should’ve been a pause to let that burn sting a bit more. 14:02 As sweet as that sounds, I don’t know if I’d call them suppressed memories. We learn in a later Heart to Heart that Tora’s very aware of his family history. I think he really thought that Muimui truly was that unremarkable when compared to Soosoo and Tatazo. 16:42 Plus you kinda come across EXP really easily in this game. If you’re going to get one of these, get it as loot and not store-bought. And here you were just making fun of your cousin for misreading “cobalt”. 18:25 And also since there’s so many pouch items, you’re going to get a lot of them that are just far too easily outclassed, especially when gold becomes no longer a concern (which is coming up very shortly actually. Chapter 4 is the earliest chapter for efficient gold farming). At least with Rare Blades, even if there is a tier list, they almost all have their uses that make them a valuable part of your arsenal. When are you ever going to use anything from Fishy Fishy at this point? 19:14 That’s what makes them so soft though. Water 7 ring any bells, Emile? I could be wrong, but I believe points carry over between ranks. If not, then it’s not the end of the world. However, it would be best to rank up whenever possible as that allows you to get more Blade pulls before having to release Commons and lets you take on more merc missions for better rewards. Take care though as you do need to do specific quests before you’re allowed to rank up, and some of the fighting in these quests can be tough. 20:10 Emile passing up the best board games shop in the game grumble grumble. But I can’t be mad for too long because we’re at the best cylinder store in the game! While Emile is going on about the background behind Mor Ardain and its Titan, allow me to tell you about the best way to make money and raise dev levels in the game: Golden Cylinders. The rate at which you get good salvaging loot with these things is spectacular. Not as good as Premiums, but they’re not as pricey either even with the DLC quest allowing you to craft them. You’re going to be swimming in cash with these things. But wait! There’s more! Since you’re going to be using these things to make money, why not buy a lot of them to help bolster Mor Ardain’s dev levels and make them cheaper? Cheap enough that at max dev level their buying price here and selling price at any other Titan are the exact same: 5,000 gold. At this point, buy as many of these things as you can, go to a nation whose dev level you want to work on, and sell them all. You don’t gain any money, but you make everything back AND you’re gaining 25 points per Golden Cylinder sold times 99 Cylinders for a grand total of 2,475 points max each trip, and that’s without bonuses from deeds! You just need to rinse and repeat this process no more than 19 times on a new Titan to raise its dev level from 0 to 5 in a matter of minutes! Amazing! And now back to your regularly scheduled lecture from Emile. 21:52 Ah yes, move to a dying Titan only to have to move back home anyways when said Titan actually dies. The happiest of endings. I get that in the moment getting away from a toxic family to pursue your own happiness does seem like the better choice, but knowing how the alternative case goes and seeing that Rhiannon’s dad did have a change of heart and they’re all living happily in a land that isn’t going to experience a heat death any time soon, I really don’t see how this is the better of the two endings. Maybe that’s just me. 23:45 You might’ve been wondering why Mor Ardain didn’t have any Merc Missions upon arrival. This is why. Gotta increase the Dev Level to 1 before you can start taking on a nation’s missions. 24:15 Not like there’s high tensions between the two nations, nope nope nope. 26:40 These all give 5 progress points BTW. You only need to make six of these rations and back out to get the upcoming branching path if you don’t feel like using up resources. 29:25 The Merc Group quests often have optional objectives that require skill checks (the last one has mandatory checks however). If you don’t have them, don’t worry, you can still clear the quest and get your rewards (with the exception of this one which has alternate rewards based on whether you get the onion or make standard rations). Might miss out on some flavor text, but again, that’s why they’re optional checks. 32:05 There really is no telling which of them is the leader. It’s all down to luck. You can in theory do every Merc Mission Quest and get to Rank 5 before even taking the boat back to Argentum. It does lead to some rather humorous albeit spoiler-y inconsistencies, particularly in the fifth quest. Guess the devs didn’t think people would be crazy enough to try the grind, but then they haven’t met me.
0:48 True, there's MUCH more to Mor Ardain than the area around the port. I expect we'll get at least one episode that's entirely exploring. (I also feel that exploring it early helps a lot for a later story point)
@@BigKlingy What’s more, there’s nothing stopping you from exploring most of the Titan at this point. Muimui doesn’t force you to immediately go to the inn and get on with the story. None of the soldiers are going to stop you from crossing that bridge. Only things preventing you from exploring are the higher leveled enemies in certain areas and your own sense of adventure.
@@Rexaura888 There's also a REALLY well-hidden area of Mor Ardain that actually requires some platforming to reach. You won't need to go there until a later sidequest, I think, but it's very rewarding to discover early. Holy crap, just typing this I also remembered about the tunnels. There's so much to this place, Mor Ardain is one of those deceptively big areas.
@@BigKlingy There’s four scenic viewpoints here, the most out of any Titan, and they all require some platforming and/or field skill checks to get to. They are all also tied to side quests or Blade quests, so you’ll at least have quest markers if you need help finding them.
uh Chugga Tora isn't a Ardianian (or however it is spelled); he is a Torigothian, His backstory cutscenes take place in his home in Torigoth. that is if you look in the details of the scenes. The surroundings have a lot of wood which Mor Ardian doesn't have and there is the experimental device which is only in Tora's house.

Too bad he grew up in a household full of pervs. The amount of anti-Tora hit pieces I've seen that completely ignore how *INNOCENT* he is when compared to his Dadapon and Grampypon...
Rex's advice in the Heart-to-Heart isn't actually bad at all, if salvaging focused: Take care of yourself and your things, ask for help when needed, and don't rush into things unprepared. All good advice... just not the advice Tora was looking for.
Well now, Rex's line where he tells Tora to properly triangulate wreckage coordinates could be applied to many things. It could be taken as "Always be prepared and doubled check your work", which is something that could be applied to life as a driver. It's all about how you think about it.
"Oh, right MuiMui not very interesting so Tora forgot that he exists." Oh my gos Tora you just meet him again to roast him on the spot! U definitely go by ur name cuz your savage!!
Honestly, there's no way in hell it isn't at least a reference to blitzball. Name one character other than Wakka who would even think to use such a weapon.
With my first playthrough, the experience first coming to Mor Ardain was completely different. When I first came, it was night and in the midst of a sandstorm. It felt very intimidating and unknown what I was going into - befitting of a first experience marching into an enemy home country. I got to the events in Alba Cavanich, and after everything was finally done and over with, I finally got to go out to into the wastes of Mor Ardain and explore, finally greeted by the bombastic glory that is 'Mor Ardain ~ Roaming the Wastes'. Definitely one of the most memorable experiences in my first playthrough.
Ah yes, the "big city" consisting of like three whole streets. Not saying that as a criticism, I just always found it kinda funny how all the characters always comment on how BIG Alba Cavinich is, when it really isn't that big. But then, they live in a world with a land shortage, so I guess I should cut them some slack.
Hey CC. Just read your tweets saying that you felt down that your XC2 LP went sour in the latter stages with people complaining you were taking too long. I gotta say that you're LPs of XC1 and now XC2 have been amongst my most fav things I've watched long form on YT. I got a WiiU about 3 years ago specifically to play XC1 and XCX as had never gotten the chance and suddenly discovered it. I got pointed to your LP and played XC1 whilst concurrently watching your LP throughout...it so good! I got to play the game n then see your takes on stuff and it helped me not miss things. I had a hiatus but went back to XCX a while ago (no LP?! of that?! JK JK). Anyways I started playing XC2 a few weeks ago and was sooo happy to see you had done a huge LP and am enjoying it sooo much. Its like I'm back 3 years ago playing 1 again with CC. These LPs are so precious. If you never do one again I get it but I can dream of one for XC3 if you think it would be fun/magical/right for you to do. The feels always shine through and always feel it with these games from you. Maybe you won't see this as its on a random ep but maybe one day you trip over it. I see lots of people went back with support today n hope it set you right. Keep doing those UK accents awfully, as someome from here its hilarious and appreciated 😃

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 fun fact of the day number 34: Tora has a stripped pattern along his back fur and arms. This is because his name, Tora, comes from the Japanese word for 'Tiger'. This is also why the game for Poppi's upgrade parts is called 'Tiger! Tiger!'. It is named after the game's creator.
I... don't think Tora is actually Ardanian. I'm pretty sure he's native to Gormott, unless something I missed said he moved there on his own. All the construction of Poppi seems to have been done in the same location, and certain spoiler characters end up at Tora's house with little issue. Tora's uncle/godfather also lives in Gormott, and was never said to have lived anywhere else. Just because Muimui's in Alba Cavanich years after losing his employer doesn't mean that's where Tora and his family lived before being attacked.
Someone make fanart of Dromarch laying down on Wulfruc's lap while Wulfric is reading a book in a chair next to a fire. No old timey pipe smoker though, Wulfric is so pure he would say no to smoking as an example for kids. But you could give him reading glasses. I can't draw. ;_; so there's no way I'd do it justice.
30:09 I'm pretty sure it's actually less than a 1 in 7 chance to pull an earth blade due to Nia having Bravery as her highest idea level, which would make her more likely to get fire and water blades. I've actually had worse luck trying to pull an earth blade under similar circumstances.

Tora stone cold killa, lay down such sick disses that Muimui need Burn Heal!
Tora just straight up killed him.
MOM GET THE CAMERA
Dead body reported
Wait, Tora's Ardanian? That's a thing I didn't know before.
I thought it was the same place or one very like it and was in just another settlement of gormott. Later on doesn't help to confirm him specifically being from mor ardain or not, either.
Fun fact is that most people are not aware that Nopons are avian :D
He isn't, at least not conclusively. Chugga's basing it off of meeting Muimui here therefore the lab that Tora's parents worked at must be here to, but that is an assumption. Nothing proves where the lab was/where Tora's parents lived.
@@TheChaosStormBringer in fact the lab that you see in flashbacks looks more like tora’s house then any place in the empire
@@finnvaneekelen7740 True, and not to mention how would little Tora get a boat ride all the way to Torigoth anyway?
Tora totally destroyed Muimui with that not interesting comment. Daaaaamn, Tora!

Things Emile Missed:
-Around the back corner where the Land Volffs are, you can jump up into some of the metal alcoves.
Chuggaaconroy, I'm glad that you're always there to cheer me up when I'm feeling down. Thank you
uh Chugga Tora isn't a Ardianian (or however it is spelled); he is a Torigothian, His backstory cutscenes take place in his home in Torigoth. that is if you look in the details of the scenes. The surroundings have a lot of wood which Mor Ardian doesn't have and there is the experimental device which is only in Tora's house.
Well this time I’m not early, the episode is!
11:22 I honestly don't remember the last time chugga interrupted a cutscene. This was glorious.
What a perfect time for some shopping in the captial! What could go wrong? Its not like we broke a member of torna out of jail on the adrainian battleship ha..ha..ah...

14:19 We've had Wulfric for *two days* and he is already learning from Nia's running gags
You're making me love Tora more than I ever have before.
11:16 this cracked me up in my latest playthrough and you just made it even better LMAO
Emile's yell needs to be the new owned meme soundbite.
It should be the Emilescream to combat the Tomscream
Yessssssz
I sense a double standard, Nia climbs on a table "Hey housecat! get down!", Streetshark blade climbs on a table "Look at you, so cool surfing on the table!", more respect for the vertically un-impaired tsundere pls XD
My gosh, I should have known Tora would be so savage while being so happily friendly about it. Tora... just... you're adorable XDXD
I love the constant story line that Rex is just a simple salvager that loves his salvage.
Tora is the most pure thing I've ever laid my eyes on
Too bad he grew up in a household full of pervs. The amount of anti-Tora hit pieces I've seen that completely ignore how *INNOCENT* he is when compared to his Dadapon and Grampypon...
I dunno, Poppi's pretty darn pure herself.
I've had "Tora is disappoint" saved as a reaction image ever since I first saw it in my first playthrough.
"Oh, right MuiMui not very interesting so Tora forgot that he exists."
Oh my gos Tora you just meet him again to roast him on the spot! U definitely go by ur name cuz your savage!!
On my first playthrough I kept wanting to refer "bitball" as "blitzball"
Got Final Fantasy X on the brain, apparently.
Blitzball sounds cooler anyway
Honestly, there's no way in hell it isn't at least a reference to blitzball. Name one character other than Wakka who would even think to use such a weapon.

Tora is on the running for best Nopon against Riki. I love how much character he's getting

I love when chugga awakens core crystals you never know who he will get
29:40 Emile awaking common blades until he gets an extra earth mastery...I was fully expecting Nim or Floren to appear given his luck.
I love the witty titles you give to this episodes.
"Sounds like something you'd see in the special edition of Star wars"
It took me waaaaay too long to get that joke. Its even worse since I own a copy!

11:18 For the love of god, keep this hilarious editing train rolling.
8:04 - Wulfric just chilling on the ground. Not a pose I would have expected of a big monster like him, lol
When he said "It's time to open some core crystals", I got scared
Rex: "I'll teach you all that life's taught me."
Me: "Well, this won't take long..." Lol!
Ah mor Ardain, what a grand place it is, I love big city environments like it, it’s like an aesthetic for me
Ah yes, the "big city" consisting of like three whole streets.
Not saying that as a criticism, I just always found it kinda funny how all the characters always comment on how BIG Alba Cavinich is, when it really isn't that big. But then, they live in a world with a land shortage, so I guess I should cut them some slack.
The inn has some hot springs. I forgot about that heart to heart. It’s going to be a while but I can’t wait to see what Emile has to say about it.
Ooh I love that one I can't wait for that one to be available~
Im glad ive watched your videos since i was young you not only brought me to amazing game series ive never heard of till you played them but you've also given me a smile along the way thanks chugga
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 fun fact of the day number 34:
Tora has a stripped pattern along his back fur and arms. This is because his name, Tora, comes from the Japanese word for 'Tiger'. This is also why the game for Poppi's upgrade parts is called 'Tiger! Tiger!'. It is named after the game's creator.
I may be wrong but I think this was mentioned in the episode where Tiger! Tiger! was introduced.
Some artist please oh please draw dromarch sitting on wulfric's lap
Yes pleas
I... don't think Tora is actually Ardanian.
I bet in Xenoblade Chronicles 3, there's gonna be a Unique Monster called Forgettable Muimui
I honestly hope so. Level 140 super boss?
Considering Xenoblade 3 is a thing now this NEEDS to happen!

11:18 One of my favorite lines from this game. It gets me every time
Hey, guess who got the game and started playing it today because of this Let's Play?
Answer: Me, it was me, you got me again.

30:09 I'm pretty sure it's actually less than a 1 in 7 chance to pull an earth blade due to Nia having Bravery as her highest idea level, which would make her more likely to get fire and water blades.
I've actually had worse luck trying to pull an earth blade under similar circumstances.
Tora forgot about his past even though he's Ardainian? He's a shame to all those who don't forget
