Hi from Milwaukee. I recently found the lp Color Me Country by Linda Martell on ebay. Linda was first black female country singer on the Grand Ole Opry. This album that came out in 69 or 70 was re issued in 2022 on yellow vinyl.
Hey Dereck, The joy you experienced with your encounter at the post office really came through in the video. I can understand how that was a special moment for you. Happy for you. I do not have any records by JOHN"S children. It was just yesterday I watched the entire DICK CAVETT show again where JOHN & YOKO were the only guests. I also have been enjoying the Can live album. I agree with your comment about the "spidery" searching style of guitar, and despite lack of technical virtuosity I almost always enjoy his playing. Experimentation counts for a lot; some of the pro guitarists you described that know exactly what to play, have lost some of their sense of unpredictability

I've loved 'Dust' since it came out - so beautifully constructed and darkly elegant. An album for the liminal spaces of the mind.

Sometimes. As much as I rely on mail order I don't like to do it.
