AI, in my opinion, is absolutely awesome when it's working alongside an original creation. For example, a completely original animation with AI music, or a completely original piece of music with an AI album cover. Sure, there's less teamwork due to this, but a dream come true for smaller creators.

Plus some are real bangers too. It really changed my opinion on AI, as I used to be pretty iffy on the idea myself
Now I see it like automation and during the factory industry.

    • @pieczumusic
      @pieczumusic 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

The thing is people will think you use AI also to make the music. If there is not a filter that clarify what is made by humans and what is not, we are f****d. You can show your creative process as an evidence, but most people still won't give a s### anyway. They'll be at least suspicious about your human musical talent as a composer. We'll be considered the same as the ones who know nothing about making music. This is not good news.

What I found to make your songs even more enticing/exciting. Try to add more Background singers through usage of Paranthesis i.e. (BACKGROUND TEXT) as well as plenty of voicings/fillers... such as uh-uh-ohhhh, OH-LALALA, NANANANANA etc. . Also give Suno room to breathe... less lyrics means more room for suno to add creative fills and instrumentals. Sprinkle in 1 or 2 instrumental or Solo fills through [Guitar Solo] or similar as well. Loved your use of extending feature! Also the workflow together with ChatGPT to generate lyrics in the template of Suno is prefered way as well :).

Cinema didn’t kill theater. Live performances and feeling the true genius of musicians playing live will always attract people. The same way we love seeing athletes in stadium. Witness the magic of talent before your eyes. As AI art with MidJourney or AI music with Suno, no matter what it will never be associated with a form of effort. What’s admirable in Art is the effort it takes to create a masterpiece. Seeing a painter creating a piece from a blank canvas will always feel different than AI generated artworks. Same goes to music. Sure Suno can create pretty catchy songs, and they will certainly be consumed on radio, but ironically I think we’ll go back full circle to an era where live music was the only choice, pre-recordings, and concerts will actually be valued more than anything. Like going to a fancy restaurant vs McDonald’s.

@@giftedepic SUNO is much easier for creating complete songs and piecing things together, but vocals will often sound a bit mechanical. UDIO is absolutely mind blowing - musicals, kids singing, spoken word, etc. but it takes many more "random" tries to get something good, and it is very limited when it comes to making longer parts - you basically add 33 seconds before or after the current segment, no specifying where to continue from like SUNO.

I built this as a vertical video experiment - it came out pretty good! This is not the final release, but it is all artificially generated.
I created the lyrics and plugged them into Suno. After almost 100 tries, I got one I liked. The video production involved multiple AI tools:
Leonardo AI: Created the base characters
Canva: Used for editing and background removal
Hedra: Rendered the female character using the audio vocal stem file
    Gen3: Rendered the keyboard player
The full song took 3 days to complete, with character renders and editing taking an additional 2 days. The final video was edited in Da Vinci Resolve. Total project time: 5 days start to finish.
there's just no way to do that in 5 days without tools like suno although the song We'll have to go into a DAW to correct a few errors before release I found this the case in most songs produced by suno they're rarely perfect I don't know if I can do that here if not just delete my post there's a link th-cam.com/video/MmDMe6iOtcI/w-d-xo.html

Interesting how enthusiastic people are about this. For now it is "only" the end coming for many jobs in the creative industry. It also means that young people will abandon any thought about studying music or any kind of arts. These AIs will replace entry level jobs and therefore all opportunities for young artists to make at least some money. Yes, maybe some very creative artists with a lot of "old school" experience might be able to survive, but the well will dry out from the bottom. Further this will kill a very diverse industry consisting out of small enterprises and single artists and concentrate everything in one or two big companies. It's not the end of human art, but the end of professional human art. And the implications of that are vastly dreadful, because the majority of people will just eat what the machines feed them.

People in manufacturing went through the exact same thing due to automation and globalization . Jobs were outsourced to other countries and robots , your jobs are being outsourced to a machine . Welcome to the club . You’re not the first , just the latest . Btw … those manufacturing jobs were far more important to the health of the wests economies than the art jobs . Ya I said it .

    • @HellOnToastbrot
      @HellOnToastbrot 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +17

@@eddiebrown192 I am not talking about a branch of jobs, but about human arts as a whole. Globalization and some outsourcing hasn't eliminated the need for engineers, doctors, lawyers etc. As an engineer, for instance, you could still stay in your business, maybe learn additional elements, work yourself into another branch of your expertise. And unemployment is at an all - time low in those jobs.
But your comment about the "health" of societies shows where you're coming from and that you probably don't understand a thing about the importance of human arts beyond the fiscal meaning. The dripping sarcasm in some comments about musicians losing their already low-paid jobs - well, that's a part of being human I wouldn't mind giving up to AIs.

    • @recklessrobert1966

No, people who still want to study music will do so. Maybe a few less, but what it will more likely do is bring more people into feeling like they have created music. There will always be a market for music made by people and live performances because people feel a connection to artists.
Art has already become commoditized before AI. Independent artists will still have the same role they have had. And mainstream professional artists will still be able to build a fanbase with talent and charisma (and marketing).
It's also possible that this type of music creation service will make big companies take more risks creatively with music because formulaic music will be able to be made so easily.
Very hard to say how this will all pan out.
I saw that Stable Audio just came out with version 2.0 and they have a beta feature where you can beatbox into a mic, upload the file and have it generate beats, even baselines, etc. Pretty sick. It's called audio to audio. You can also take an instrument playing a certain loop, upload it and tell it to change out the instrument.

Outsourcing the manufacturing jobs didn’t serve the manufacturing workers, but the manufacturing companies.
Same for the artists: outsourcing to AI won’t serve them, only the music producing companies, and even more the AI companies.
And don’t get fooled: engineers and developers are the next ones on the AI’s replacement schedule.

I look at it like this. There's no telling how long my favorite video game companies and artists has been using similar technology before this. Also I spent near 15 years trying to build a YT channel on remixes and instrumentals I spent what had to be thousands of hours cumulatively on and had to hope someone popular would use it for a intro or rap on it.
With this, not only can I ghostwrite the lyrics and have Suno make a hot cadence/beat to it based on my prompts. I can also align the BPM to the track, take the track to FL and extract just the vocals for one of my original tracks. I can put together a hot track in a half hour based on what I'm feeling at the time. I can freaking watch a episode of Monday Night Raw and in less than a hour have a song based on what happened on Raw that sounds like it should be on the radio.
The biggest boon this thing has is the power and speed to make something hot just by sheer instruction and imagination, and works exceptionally well if you're a musician already aware of stuff like beats per minute, 808 slides, hihat placement, tone, and have a general idea of the sound you're going for. In 30 minutes I had a track based on the store I work at and it was a hit!
Like even if you don't want to use the track the AI created, for a musician as myself I can use it to create a song based on lyrics and then just make a original song around the lyrics while cutting out the instruments. The potential is ridiculous and outright scary for what it means fir musicians as a whole in the next 10 years.

I've been playing with this, for over a week ,for me it is a useful tool, for sketching ideas, the difference, is, I am a musician and singer and have written and produced music, I perform live, this tool is a starting point, there are already tools that do most of this like band in a box. Here is my experience so far, the lyrics generated are cliché and pretty ropey, vocals are autotuned mush, BUT, if you can use a real DAW and are able to replace vocals, they are a reasonable guide, often the vocalisations are not how a singer would phrase, when you try to separate out the stems, is when you notice how mushy it is, so, to sum up, if you actually know what you are doing, very useful tool, otherwise, imho 95% of people will generate rubbish and get all excited.

Soo they getting the word out through influencers that its free ... and let you guys hype us and then we want to try it out and all we get is "due to heavy usage creating new songs is currently only awailable to pro users". Like what the heck??? Please stop supporting these shady companies!

I just saw that banner now, I filmed the video like 5 days ago. Not in touch with anyone on the team or anything btw, just been having fun with it. Hopefully they can get it back up for everyone soon

It's only just now dealing with heavy usage, it hasn't been like that for months. It's already worth the cost. I've spent at least 20+ hours playing around with it

I will never use AI to make music. It renders the process completely pointless to me

Right on. I'm using it to get more creative and explore avenues and genres of music I wouldn't have otherwise. Got a cool piano riff from a prompt (dark psychedelic cabaret) that I transposed to guitar and have been writing a song off of, it's been super fun

@@futurepedia_io It is really sad to watch your video and to read you in the comments section... There is absolutely no reason to use it as a musician... and you know it. What motivates you? are you just trying to buzz? Are you paid by Suno?! I'm sorry but I just don't understand how a musician can be seriously talking about this fake disruptive "tech".

But this is something a little bit different than time traveling
This is… There’s this… The hippocampus does very well
    whole multi-nodal thing
    that binds
    Memories across modalities
    and does relations really well
    And that is
    Memory it’s only thing
    It’s a gigantic ring
