@@janetpattison8474 agreed. I still haven't bought a ladder, but when I do, I'll get it at the Home Depot, not Amazon. Returns at HD are so much easier.
Followed your recommendation last year and purchased three of the extend and climb ladders. Extremely satisfied with our decision and have minimal issues with these ladders. Keep it dry to avoid sticking or at least wipe it down when wet!
Hey my man, thanks for that. I do inspections and wanted one i could put in the back seat of my truck and not have to leave it out in the weather in my bed. Going to to pick this one up. Thanks for all the hard work and MONEY you put in to this.
I have one and am at 260. Ladder rated for 330. But what I like about it is the soft and automatic closing mechanism. You really can't get pinched..so far anyway. Also, it has a horizontal extension bar on the bottom rung to widen its stance. I think it was $103 or there abouts. It seems to close by capturing air and slowly releases it on the way down all in one step..you don't have to click each individual step..just the two on the bottom and then its hands off..the ladder retracts. I'm not going to carry anything with me climbing so even if the rating is lower than advertised for a 15.5' ladder it seems pretty stable. My concern is how long will the air pressure hold. It of course does LOCK into position on each step and if it stops being a soft close I can deal with that. I think some silicone grease might make it last longer. Good review.
So I'm 6'2 and about 300 lb and I use the telesteps. I've been carrying the same ladder for over 3 years with absolutely no problems. But I do want to point out that I purchased the top rated ladder on Amazon which was a Chinese knockoff and used it for only 2 weeks before it actually collapsed under me. I'm thinking about purchasing a new ladder to retire my old one into position of backup ladder since the feet are getting so worn out after all these years. Think I'm going to try one of these.
I too have been using a Tele-Steps ladder, daily, for attic access in customer homes(priceless over folding ladders) and I've been thinking about a replacement due to age/use. Good video
I've been using these ladders for about 7 years and I love them with one caveat, the latches get hard. I even had one that locked up on me after only 2 weeks.
I bought mine because of this video, I got the 15.5' 300lb Contractor version which is their most expensive and most rugged option that is the tallest.
So I use a Werner black tip 32ft (300lb rating) and a Werner mt22 (300lb rating, I was looking at getting a ladder like you showed to stop carrying the big ladders. But I’m 300lbs so I need to make sure it will hold me well
Buy Best Ladder on Amazon: amzn.to/3v22a4E After spending $2500 on ladders this year, we still stand behind our recommendation from 5 years ago: Xtend & Climb still makes the best ladders!
Best video for ladders. I tried the link a couple of times and it was dead. Also, put RV in your keywords, these types of ladders are very popular with RV’rs.
The only thing I don't like about them is one you get mud on the steps and in the locks it's almost impossible to clean it and have it work properly again. I actually bought one after your last review video with the kettle bells. It's definitely really nice to have but again, a pain to try and keep clean and dry.
I’m between pro series and commercial. Commercial Goes 16.75 and has the stabilizers. Have you heard or experienced the commercial versions. Also is their a benefit of buying off website? Seems to be a little more expensive than Home Depot and other sites. Thank you in advance for thoughts!
Are there stability feet available for these units? I don't use a ladder often and mostly indoors for changing smoke detector batteries and air filters. I've been searching for a telescoping ladder but they all seem very flimsy like you mentioned until you step in to the pro range and spend accordingly.
I keep my extension ladder mounted on my ladder rack & the 300lb contractor Xtend ladder behind my drivers seat for any interior work I may need to do, it’s difficult carrying a full extension ladder through an elaborate high end home, any of these Xtend & climbs though.. anywhere any time no hassle. Remember folks if Sherwin Williams carries this brand it’s as professional as it gets.
Hi, What ladder do you recommend from Amazon (in my case Amazon Spain) for non-professional use (just to go to the roof of my house if i need)? I think i need between 3.2/4mt. I climb up to my garage, and from there to the roof. To the top of garage it's 3mt height, and from there to the roof is probably 3/3.5mt I guess. Thanks
I like the idea but getting off and on the roof is Whats most important to me. I use a gorilla extenable ladder with a 300 pound capacity. Its pretty heavy but it stays put and never moves
I hate it when people say "cheap chinese stuff". Almost everything is made in China. Xtend & Climb ladders are made in China. iPhones, Macbooks are made in China. They can produce high quality stuff and also cheap crap. It all depends on how much money you want to spend.
ahh i got you, my mistake, when i see working man tools, as a working man i am always thinking in the working man world. i forget about all those salesmen and reps that get on roofs sometimes.
I found many of the reviews are actually meaningless. Did you really tell your audience anything when you say: This US-made $400 ladder that carries $300 lbs is better than the Chinese-made $100 ladders that carries only 250 lbs? The answer is yes and should be. If you want to compare, please compare a US-made $100 ladder with a Chinese-made $100. Our common sense is compare apple with apple. It makes no sense to compare a pineapple to a strawberry while you spend $3 on the pineapple and 3 cents on a strawberry.
Lol.very true.i usely get by with lightduty painters ladders for almost everything, non electrical related. Then the heavy fiberglass ladder gets used and they like to flex more then id like, thats for sure. but the light duty ladders are plenty strong if used correctly. and not used by a heavy person. or not carrying a bundle of shingles on your shoulder. but if something falls on it or the ladder falls, it will usually be ruined since its not heavy guage aluminum and bends and cracks easy. But i can easily carry it around with one arm
Worst ladder on the market to operate... Tell the truth.... Sometimes it takes 10-minutes to close this Xtend ladder and, by the time you get it closed you will be worn out... Now thats the truth....
Only practical use for these ladders is if you don’t have a ladder to your attic installed and you need to get in your attic that’s the only time I would advise one of these ladders Not safe enough or sturdy enough for roofers or putting up gutters or anything like that
Home Depot is currently selling the Xtend and Climb ladder for cheaper than Amazon.
And that is often the case. And who wants to deal with an Amazon return? Not me.

Thank you for review , It’s been on my mind to replace the one I’ve been using for the last 10 years and looks like this is the one

I wish we had an updated one!
Thank you for the video! I'm out hunting for a top quality telescopic ladder for roof inspections and perhaps this one's it!
What do you think about extension ladders vs telescoping? Or do you have a video on that I can watch? Thanks.
Thank you for investing in our safety!

Nice review!
Do you have a link that one for 2 story? I do Roofing estimates and I'm looking for an all around portable ladder
What brand is it that is spring loaded and opens by itself
Great video!
What about USTEPS telescoping ladder?
Xtend n climb has a 300lb rated model for their tallest ladder as well.
anywere we can grab these when we are in the uk cant see them on the amazon website
I fell of a telescoping Amazon ladder. I am like I am not dead.
I’m a taper (Drywall Finisher ) what about drywall dust affecting the mechanics of the ladder

中国有一句话 叫“一分价钱一分货” 一个梯子结实不结实 跟它made in China 没有任何关系 只要价格足够贵 一定会结实耐用 价格便宜 就算是火星制造 也一样很容易坏
Amazing video, thanks!!
Which is the best? The original Telesteps brand or the Xtend & climb?
Xtend and climb is much better!
My company gave me one for single story roof inspections. Very good ladder. My only complaint is that it does not have ground levelers.
Great video.
Do you use a Goat for steep climbs? Not so sure I would trust my life on that..
I have seen other people using Pitch Hopper.
great video, India is full of dirt from Chinese ladder, i dont know where to buy the best ladder over here.

I think I seen one for a boat. In water . That be awesome 😮
2024 and right on the box it says made in China. Xtend and Climb 15.5 contractor series.
That 260 might be 💪
what is your opinion of the folders
So this is an xtend and climb brand?
Yes
I like the idea but getting off and on the roof is Whats most important to me. I use a gorilla extenable ladder with a 300 pound capacity. Its pretty heavy but it stays put and never moves
Clamp your ladder to the gutter
Buy local. Amazon has ripped me off at least 4 times. Returns are a huge hassle with Amazon, and they often sell defective products.
Does test with ladder at 45 degree angle... I think they need to read the instructions.. As these are not used to walk across....You climb up them....
Indianapolis in the house!
I got one of these from Amazon.. and l don’t like it! It is heavy, and today the bottom wrong broke on one side.. it’s going back!

Has this ladder always been made in China? 😊
Something about those Amazon extension ladders tell me to.stay away.
I still can't bring myself to do it.
Xtend & Climb is made in China too. Just saying...
The heaviest on Amazon too
A like and a free comment as good measure. Thx
$420 for this? you can get a real 24' louisville / werner ext ladders for less. why would you buy this?
If you are adjuster and don’t have truck, how would you carry 24’ on smaller car?
ahh i got you, my mistake, when i see working man tools, as a working man i am always thinking in the working man world. i forget about all those salesmen and reps that get on roofs sometimes.
What’s wrong from China? The price is much better. You could choose to pay more to get a better one.

Those ladders are only safe when your playing roofer they are not safe for people who actually work as a roofer

Telescopic ladders suck. They are unsafe and shouldn't be used by anyone at any height beyond 6 feet.
what's the use if you don't give any brands. and drop the \ucking imperial sistem😤😤😤
