10:55 I'm currently removing the boost gauge from my steering column and was JUST about to order a new cover...like, literally 2 minutes away from ordering...when I saw this video. My wife now insists I thank your girlfriend for pointing out the double sided tape. ...so thank you.
@@ChrisGoorbarry I feel you bro. I do basic stuff on my car but I don't have the confidence unless I F something up man! I apprciate your videos and your build. Great work, all the best from the UK. Peace!
Hi, great video mate. I'm about to install 3 gauges (boost, oil temp & volt) to my EVO 8. I want to use this add circuit as you have. My question is can you connect all 3 wires to one add circuit & run off the same fuse or do you need 3 add circuits one for each gauge & therefore need to find 3 spare spaces in fuse box? Thanks
Steve SAS there’s many ports you can add a circuit fuse you can honestly go both routes as the gauges don’t requiere that much to run.. but if you can add separate circuits I personally feel it will be better that way if you have any issues you can pinpoint the fuse
@@ChrisGoorbarry Thanks, I have successfully installed the three Prosport gauges. I used one add a circuit which I connected all 3 of the 12v ignition wires to. Then used the radio harness to connect 12v constant & lights. I initially didn't want a 12v constant to be connected to reduce as much battery drain as possible, but these gauges needed for them to work as intended.
Just installed my afr gauge, wired it pretty much exactly how you did and it doesn’t turn on. Even moved the ground to a different location, and still nothing. Any suggestions
Nicely done :) But, PLEASE do not start the engine with the AFR sensor already heated up. The CERAMIC element in the wideband sensor runs at over 1000degF. When they get hit with cold startup air, they fracture, and progressively go bad, ahead of their time :(
@@RafaelRamirez-pw5bf When you power on the gauge, it immediately starts heating up the sensor. So, if you turn the key to RUN or ACC, and, let it sit for a while before starting the car, the sensor is already hot when the engine starts. Then, bad things happen :(
Hi Chris, I'm about to install the same gauge and bought a similar fuse tap. I'm trying to decide what size fuses to put into both fuse slots. How did you determine to do 7.5a on the fuse box side and 10a on the tap side? Mine came with 15a on the tap side but since that slot is rated for 10 amps, I will prob just do 7.5/10 like you did. Thanks in advance
Question man I just installed a boost gauge on my evo9mr and I did what you’d did for the hose line tying into existing boost gauge hose. What is your boost gauge reading? ?

where did you get the fuse power wire?
I believe advance auto
Clean install! I needed this video man! I have so much I need to get done to the evo but time isn’t on my side.
I feel your pain bro, I'm the same!!
I have a single din stereo on mine with a coltspeed fasia which you can get in grey or carbon, looks super neat.
Maybe next time pin them cables out to get them through the hole. but very good job, thanks for the video!
Bro where did you learn all of this, you know your stuff man!!!
a lot of research man.. It's my passion so I spend most of my time either learning or doing. Still have a lot more to learn!

Looks tough af 🔥
great vid 🔥
You should do a oil pressure gauge install
For the jdm build i will!
@@ChrisGoorbarrydid you do this?

Awesome! glad you were able to figure it out! thanks for the update!
Great video, what double din headunit do you have ?
Bryce Kirby it’s in one of my videos where I explain the install! But it’s a pioneer
Christopher Goorbarry thanks, I found the video !
AEM gauges part numbers?
Can you make a video on an oil pressure gauge?

lordandprotector ahhh thanks for the info !! Will avoid that on my install !
good vid. would have been better if you showed them working as you drove...
do these daisy chain to one another to power up?
I prefer powering them seperate I put it in the video.
