100 percent use a metronome. Start slow, like comically slow. Practice it until you can play it without any mistakes, then bump it up 3 to 5 bpm. Repeat until flawless. Keep practicing like that. The point of doing it slowly like this is because the very small bump in bpm is something your brain hardly even notices. You will eventually get up to a fast speed. I struggled with faster songs in the past and I started to practice songs in this way. Its funny cause you get up to a really fast speed without even noticing it really. You end up feeling like you're almost there and then you play it with the song a realize that you already know how to play the riff much faster than the actual song XD
