Flavor text:
Amakusa Shirō Tokisada has returned from the dead. Looking to create a new world order in line with his ideals, he resurrects Minazuki Zankurō and kidnaps a sorceress-in-training, Hazuki, from the Kazama ninja clan to augment his powers. This new awakening has since caused all manner of disasters around the world and once again many warriors hurry to find and destroy the source of evil.
Basara discovers that his resurrection is caused by Amakusa, so he heads for the castle to kill him so he can rest in peace. - เกม

That 13-hit slash combo you've just executed, for some strange reason, I could never do that. I play the old school way, and I hardly ever got used to doing advanced combos in fighting games.
Yeah it's possible to succeed in this game without learning combos, old school, as you say. This game's definitely deep enough to accommodate many playstyles.
Back in the day, I had to practice at least a couple hours initially to do the big combo consistently. :P
It's really not that hard to the 13 hit combo. I manage to do it unexpectedly a few times

How can I make the inputs succesfully for a special in the whole Samsho series? Literally whenever I try and special move it doesn't come out, no matter if I play with with D-Pad or Thumb Stick, I always fail really often.
It's not like KOF or another Fighting Game where inputs are way more easier to execute, but I feel Smasho sometimes doesn't want to read my inputs correctly or something.

I simply just practiced each character for a few days and it helps I've played this game intermittently/casually for like 10 years or something lol. Anyway I recommend watching online vs matches those players are much better than me and I learned from those videos a lot too.

How did you do basara's combo
Why do I prefer SS3 so much? I grew up with that as my only framework of the series, and I gotta say, I feel it's the most ambient one of them all.
Great comment! I certainly like the atmosphere of SS3 a lot! It also helps that the animations are more detailed than in SS4. (Gaira most notably) And overall darker visuals. The reason why I personally prefer SS4 is the gameplay.
dvlfsh Oh, I get that. Everyone and their mother had made sure to point out that SS3 sucks gameplay-wise. Gotta ask; what's the difference that really kills it compared to SS Four to you?
I still enjoy playing SS3 every so often but it was mostly the expanded rage mechanic and all the different c+d combo dials that made me play SS4 a lot more.

SS5 should've been a mix of 4 & 3. an inclusion of all aspects of both games. the manual powering up and blocking in the air from ss3. do away with slash or bust, give one character all the moves. missed that wide screen view from ss3 when fighters were far apart, then the zoom in as they ran towards each other. bring back the previous fighters from 1 & 2 as well.
Do this for "SS7". ;) keep it 2d

shouldve tried the lightbulb feet good play tho,theres just not much combo available with basara
aye it's a fun move. here's hoping I won't forget it again when I record Basara in ss5 lol
Deefihs also try catching opponents with the AB special while they are caught in hao bust tornado..
