Thank you for sparking my interest in oval racing, I came over from road and feel I can never keep up with the pack and lose so many places towards the end, I try to keep my tyres alive using your tips but it's a massive learning curve for someone that had never done any oval stuff before
Always thought oval racing was easy and boring, OH BOY have I been wrong 😅 Its hard to comprehend how difficult this stuff is and how much things you have to manage to get a decent result. I have gained a HUGE respect for oval racing since getting into it on Iracing.
This was a very impressive way to put yourself in a position to compete with Larry. One (rare) bad slide and both your tires would be equal. Good stuff 💪
Couldn’t find the video I wanted to post this in …so I’m posting it here. The 1 thing a lot of people overlook is not looking far beyond the bumper in front of them, leading to a lot of rear end collisions when the wreck starts. I’m always scanning far ahead watching for wrecks and irrational drivers, I’ve been able to avoid disaster using this practice. Thanks for your videos!
I was in your same position at one point. Just save $10 a week and put it towards a rig if you can. After two years you’ll have $1000. If you don’t have a pc, then put it towards a pc & go budget route for your sim racing gear, then save another couple years. 😊
Larry Pace is a solid dude. I've had a handful of awesome battles for the win with him. And every one of those battles he has been super clean and competitive. He's really good and does not mind sharing tips and info with you. He's one of my favorite fast guys to race against on iracing.
yo Justin, these videos have been absolutely invaluable to me for learning how to be fast on Ovals. thanks for what you do and I'll probably be hitting you up for some coaching this winter - if you're still doing it that is.
Best video! Exactly how I do things. I'm not good but I try to be consistent and gain knowledge every race. Get good runs and wins! Your videos are beyond helpful!
I often struggle with saving tires and holding position/ lead. Sometimes I’ll save and hemorrhage positions, but if I push to keep up, I end up the slowest car on a long run. Happened in the Coke 600 before I figured out how to do it correctly.
When a league I race with did a season with the super late model. We found out if you planned a one stop race just right. You could get away with a two tire stop and you didn't have to deal with cold tire as bad.
Guilty of tire saving early and getting in bad air, race over....this video is very timely, thank you!
Thank you! Tire saving is my nightmare. Never understood how to do it
I’m so slow I don’t fall off as much so on long green runs I end up being way faster 😂

How have the ovals been treating you in the last month?

Thank you! I joined a next gen league recently and this was loaded with information that I sorely need.

Even though I can only dream of playing iracing I still love watching these videos!

Looking forward to trying out some of these suggestions on the track!
Love these vids you post. Informative as always. Also the race strategy and using your actual race like a “play by play” is awesome.

Ran my first c class gen 4 car race last night and qualified12th and finished 2nd thanks to your tire saving tips and just a little bit of luck lol
Thanks Justin. These tips help me enjoy this great hobby a lot more than I would without them.
Chicagoland Trucks! That was a really fun week.
Thanks for your awesome content! You are the best TH-camr for Ovals hands down.
Really nice video with a lots of good tips thx !
Running the fence is some of the most fun on Iracing

Just won a arca race because of this confirmed to work
Thanks for this detail breakdown!
Great video. Great tips. Well presented.
Thanks for the tips 👊
Great video as always
The #1 tip: deploy the hunch over the steering wheel
Great info as always! One small nit-pick: please focus your face cam. It's ever so slightly out-of-focus and it's slightly distracting. :D
Ya editing it I realized the camera focused on my mic lmao whoops
I don’t feel like I’m alive unless I’m running the wall at Homestead on 35-lap old tyres in a Gen 4.
Fascinating stuff
Would this be good for late model racing as well?
Interesting, I've just moved up to C license racing and have been trying to tire save on restarts. Explains why that hasn't been working.
You still using a g29 and pedals ?
I think the discord link may be expired

90% of the time tactics and tryre saving are made redundant by the 37 yellow flags

@@DJYeeJay thanks man
Any kind of discussion, explanation about tyre saving on iRacing makes zero sense as long as they have such ridiculous model.
