    Being brought up in Slauson Park, I had first hand knowledge of the original of the Slausons. Melvin "Roach" Jackson and Frankie Gentry were the original founders of the Slausons. I know this because Frank Gentry was my nephew. They used to meet at our house on Hooper Ave. right across the street from the park. They were originally called "The Skulls" in the early 50's. They changed their name to the "Slausons" a few years later. Lafayette, Bird, Leonard Gentry (my nehpew), Clessie Gentry (also my nephew) the era in which I was, were known as the "Baby Slausons". The original OG's were Roach, Frankie, Tree Top, (who was shot and killed at a party), Phyron Gilmer and other members whose names escape me right now.

      MR.TBACON most of the panthers were Educated in Marxism. I know an older crip from Lynwood who banged in his youth who joined the Nu Afrikans. Now the brother is one of the most brilliant thinkers of our time. His name is Kali Akuno look him up.

      A piece of paper doesn't define a person's intelligence!!!

      It's not WISE for Black folk who are involved in BOTH the West Coast UNDERGROUND and the California prison UNDERGROUND to EXPOSE all of our ORGANIZATIONS!
      For that REASON, certain West Coast, UNDERGROUND, Black organizations, inner workings, must REMAIN SECRET!
      Until the appropriate time those organizations FORCES are UNLEASHED!

    Lafayette is mentioned in Colton "Lil Cee Loc" Simpson's Book "Inside the Crips" .
    So is the Crip module 4800, it's different than Monsta Kody's book as in there's not a lot talk about killing.
    Also he speaks more on the system going against black inmates. Riots with the Ese's and whites etc.

    • @BARSCIENCE101
      @BARSCIENCE101 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @BARSCIENCE101
      @BARSCIENCE101 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      i'll check it out. do or die by leon bing was really good imo
      street wars by tom hayden was awesome, but that one is more of an analysis of gang culture and its underlying causes

    • @complexblackness
      @complexblackness 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      BARSCIENCE101 that book something about it i don't like. I never finished it. Maybe it was Leon Bing being a white woman and having no understanding.
      I skipped around the book and just put the shit down.

    Kev, a while back you asked who would be a great interview, some said resurrect Raymond Washington, I said Bunchy Carter. This was close, like a no points spread parlay. It wasn't Bunchy Carter doing the interview, but we still came up with knowledge we didn't have about the cat. This cat brought some great history and perspective.

    I wonder did a lot of the Slauson turn BGF?

    • @Steve0verton
      @Steve0verton 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Speak Yo Peace TV you have to understand that BGF is more for black prison lifers. George Jackson spear headed that movement if my memory is right. I read it I believe in one of Jackson's books

    • @speakyopeacetv6795
      @speakyopeacetv6795 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Day And Night yeah George and a few created it in San Quentin. But I only said BGF because it seems like a lot of the Slausons after the black movement was neutralized by COINTELPRO began to go to prison. So I wondered if a lot of them became BGF.

    • @Thetitankong1807

Because you push the line hard your self or you have gave CA half off your life doing time that makes you a Survivor and I take my hat off to you but it don’t make a lot of these cats strong leaders. Keep them coming Crip your TH-cam is the Hood CNN😂👍🏿

I remember hittin you up over a year ago about getting Baby Gangster from Santana and Sidewinder from Gangster 1 out of 2 ain't bad cuz Side past last year phenomenal man! I was involved with Batman Gregory Davis's niece for about 4 years she was my woman and he was Raymonds right hand man and according to him was the first one to coin the neighborhood crip phrase! So what's left? An interview with Big Devil from 107 or Honcho from Grape maybe? Keep up to the good work!

      Kev, you challenge you to do two things: 1) a film about the the sixties. 2) a documentary about the homies that done passed away. So many lovable niggas that gave the hood so much have been removed from this earth. They deserve to be here. They deserve to be brought back to life through story. They deserve to have their story told by you. Show pictures and have you or other homies share stories about the fallen so the word can be introduced to these great men and know what the world has lost.
