CALLING ALL SUPPORTERS !!!!!! Let's all get the word out to our community about the Brother KEV MAC consistent videos of stone cold history. This is truly needed, our story by our people. Informative, entertaining, and can be used as a healing tool. Solid!!!!!
G Smith It'd be dope to have at least 20 of these likes for this video to flood social media. Kev just needs to go viral.
303Lyfe that viral video is hard to get. 😂😂😂 but it would be cool to raise enough money to pay for a movie script to shop for a budget, and then I can get some real work done and all these brothers can reap the benefits.
That is true
Kev Mac Videos man if all of your 19K subscribers donated $5 you'd have 95K right now for that movie.. That's a damn good start but I guess they don't see it that way. 🤷🏿♂️
I couldn’t Have said it better 💯!
That no smoking/drinking paid off in the long run.
This dude is one of the best ones yet.. U can tell OG has respect for us Chicanos. Much respect right back!
JR Velasquez, big ups! It's a great asset to be open minded👍
JR Velasquez MOST US STILL DO....OUR HISTORY HERE IS INTERTWINED...ESPECIALLY IN COMPTON
JR Velasquez ..WELL CALI...PERIOD
This shows it ain't about race .. It's about bein a solid individual to one another. I've had my encounters wit shady blacks but also have some solid ass black homies. Always go based off someone's character regardless what race u feel. Nuttn but love from West Phoenix Az.. Yea we tuned in! Ha
Exactly bro
What up Bird, much love BIGRICH FLORENCIA TRESE. Use to live on Miramonte blvd. You know my whole familia. You use to come by in your purple Bomb to visit my pops and moms...
I went to Paramount high school and never in any of my history classes did I learn about Pio de Jesus Pico and his role in the states history. But here I am and here it is. Respect .
Jermaine Mckenzie
He has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Spanish history and linguistics!
Last Black Man (African-MX) to run CA!
I don't even watch regular tv anymore, just wait on my man Kev to drop a new episode. Bout to cut my cable off
Faruq Al-Amin how you gonna watch Power tho..🤔
Nutzy good question, didn't think about that.......hell Kev is the new power
Faruq Al-Amin
Lol naw bruh.. Kev is Kev and Power is Power.. I got enough room on my plate for both. 💯
Download shoebox all the shoes on tv are on there for free and some movies still in theatures
I mean showbox
I had the pleasure of Working with Bird in The Community Youth Gang Services back in the 90's. He has so much history to share and I never got tired of hearing him speak about the days of the Slauson's, Businessmen, Gladiators and the evolution of street gangs. I was from the South West of Los Angeles and he knew all about the hoods in my part of town including my own Gang. Hope you did't forget me Bird. Marianne DIaz
He forgot you . 😄 🤣 😂
Like I said in one of Bird's earlier Kev vids, this man in a literal walking history book. This man remembers everything and damn near forgets nothing!
Just met this og tonight, towed him home, showed me all his classic cars, much respect bird
Keep working hard Kev, you got people all over the world pushing for you. I’m all the way in NYC and every time someone mentions gang culture I refer them to your TH-cam page
Most people out here have never even herd of you but once they view your content are blown away
If your marketing and promotions step up you’d have all aspects of this on lock. Ever thought about joint ventures or collaborations? You should peer with someone with a larger or more diverse platform in hopes of gaining some viewers from across the US
J G agreed. Kev Mac is going to blow up once he makes that power move
This was really good to hear it answered pretty much all my questions I had about black and brown relations
OG is L.A historian... So much info contained for so long... Great watch
From this interview and the earlier with Madd Ronald. I've learned that the relationship between blacks and Mexicans in LA is much more complicated and nuanced than how it's depicted in the mainstream media.
Much more!!!!!
I remember talking to a older dude in his 60s he said the black vs Mexican thing was new to him. Blacks and Mexicans for the most part got along or didn’t deal with eachother
GOOD TOO HEAR SOMETHING ON LATINO GANGS.....
No such as Latino gangs when all Spanish speaking gangs by majority and for the longest run were and are Mexican.
Mexican gangs with exception of Salvatruchas are predominant.
@@MacMac1313 that's not actually fully true depending on what part of cali or the U.S. period
@@tydeprince719 #SOCAL 🌴 A
Kev you need more views homie.. This content is gold but I don't understand why you don't have a bigger audience SMH.. I'm donating tomorrow tho fam so keep up the great work. 💯✊🏿
Nutzy I try to get people to share and subscribe but apparently it’s not happening...
KEEP HEAD UP KEV...ITS GONNA HAPPEN..
Kev Mac Videos SMH that shit makes no sense to me.. but yo I'm hitting that PayPal link in the description and it's telling me it doesn't work.. Do I have to be on a computer?
Kev Mac Videos you should have someone interview you so you can share your story, that way out of towners who don't know you can
Nutzy it’s easier if you just go straight to your PayPal and send to allhoodpublications@yahoo.com or copy and paste the link and then leave TH-cam
Thank you Kev Mac for making these videos! My primo sent me a link to watch and I was so surprised to hear the man you interviewed mention my pops name David Barbosa when he was speaking about little Florence again thank you so much.
crazy how small this world is
Small world indeed
Linda, would your father, Mr. Barbosa, be willing to sit down with Kev Mac for an interview? I would love to hear about his life.
I'm sure he would have loved too but unfortunately he passed away a few years ago.
I'm sorry for your loss
This over TV and movies any day, much respect from a former LA dude now living in Canada
KaoWins yo how do I become a citizen out there?
Give me 10000$ I'll give detail how to become Canadian
Gotta start off as a permanent resident for ~5 years then apply for citizenship.. Basically as long as you know English, lived and worked here for a period of time you're good to go. Oh and make sure you don't have anything on your record. I ended up here as a teenager when my father decided to move to Canada so I basically just followed him along lol.
Big facts 💯
This man is walking thesaurus. He has knowledge on hella history and is on point with it
Hopefully this opens some more door for you Kev. Keep doing what you're doing, you are definitely in beast mode.
Also worth noting I heard CV70s was allied with LPP way back when and also people overlook the 20s and Harpys generally always got along or atleast don’t beef it out hardcore
The Godfather of L.A. hands down
Yo Kev you need more videos from this gentleman right here. Especially talking about Florence and east coast
He won't, Kev , like School history all black...He ain't down with the politics.....
Not truth, he Kevin, talked about doing more on that history on the hispanic sets but a lot of the hispanics dont wsnt to have that sit down for whatever the reason, and that's perfectly fine, im sure they have there reasons!
Great stuff, was very happy to see this pop up! Keep up the awesome work. Shout out to Bird for remembering every detail that makes a good story.
Bird is spitting some of the realest, diverse, hood history ever..
Keep this shit coming Kev. To hell with whoever dislikes this..oh yea. That was cool how you added the dogs in the background. Nigga you blessed with a hood talent that can/ will take you farther than you probably expect it too..
Salute to Triple OG Bird 🐦, This man been all over LA county.. Walking encyclopedia. I admire his memory. 👍🏽🙏🏽💯
I stayed on 74th Street in the middle of F13 and Bird stays on 73rd Street near Central and Florence. He gets nothing but love in the neighborhood. Bird is the real deal.
Was looking at old videos when I got the notification. OG Bird be on point
Black and Brown rules of engagement. That's missing with most sets now.
Jeffrey Walker should be rules for sure.
Been following following for a while now. Much respect to you Kev. It's clear that this channel is NEEDED for culture appreciation. Heres to longevity & growth! 💯
Thank you!

WESTSIDE KING as always
This is 🔥Kev. The CutDowns , DogTown to Hickory. This man is a prophet. He could literally teach these youngsters and OG's a thing or 2...Gotta find more ppl like this Kev. Great post brother.
Mikey Gurrola The Cutdowns is that Midnight Choppers C12?
I know I heard Bird mention the Cutdowns before.
ComplexBlackness ..The CutDowns is an old click from El Hoyo Maravilla. They go back generations. One of Maravilla's oldest clicks. Goes way back as far as White Fence. 1930's and 1940's brother.
Victoria Street in Carson/ Dominguez is named for spanish land Grant- Rancho San Pedro owner Manuel Dominguez's daughter Victoria who Married George Carson..moved to the area that became Carson . Look up the Dominguez family and the husbands they married got their land by being married to them. The streets Susana Road, Reyes Av, Victoria Street, and Dolores Street all in Carson/Dominguez are named after the Dominguez sister's A few of married men with the last name of Watson, Carson, and Del Amo... their family sold their land that became carson Compton Torrance Wilmington Redondo Beach and the whole Palos Verdes peninsula
Beechboy68, and to get a little deeper into it. All of that area that you just pointed out, was once ruled by a black family. From Mission Viejo to the South, all the way to Santa Barbara to the North, and everything in between. It belonged to the Nieto family. That encompassed 300,000 acres. All of the locations that you've mentioned were included. Manuel Nieto was his name. It's all in the history books📚 The caveat is, that these facts are in quite a few of the publications, (a whisper) but they don't tell you that they were Black👊
Good info!
Pharoah 1 I just looked up the Nietos, his land was mainly around the Whittier area and stretched into the OC.
Whittier, Anaheim, Long Beach, Artesia, Cerritos, etc.
Thanks I didn't know all of that.
Pharoah 1 that's right brother. I heard of that last name before when learning about the area in my school years.. but I didn't know they were black. They omit lots of things like that in history as we know. I do know we have a Nieto Ave here in Long Beach which is named after him.
Beechboy68, yep, there is a Nieto Street there in Long Beach, and if I'm not mistaken, it runs into Belmont Shores or Naples. Of that original 300,000 acres, 150,000 was rescended because in encroached on religious land (Missions) which left 150,000 acres. Today, only 7 acres remain and is being preserved. After Manuel Nietos death, children inherited the land and properties. Well, we know how that goes. They began to sell it off and then they were swindled out of most. One of the tricksters was a guy named Tom Bixby. Have you ever heard of him? If not, have you ever heard of Bixby Knolls? I think you get the picture📷 Well, let me tell you where the remaining 7 acres are. Since you seem familiar with the LBC. This is a well kept secret that's sort of hidden in plain view, but I'm going to let you in on it. On the back side of CSULB, I believe the street is Palos Verde. Well, that street comes to an end at a upscale gated community, with a security booth at the entrance. Are they protecting the residents there or are they hiding something? Let's just say both! Well those 7 acres are behind those gates. It's known as Rancho Los Cerritos. Preserved and open for tours. It's ran by white, senior volunteers. They conduct the free tours and provide you with their version of the account and/or his-story😂 But, there's one small detail that they leave out. That small detail is...that they will not volunteer to tell you that Manuel Nieto was a "Black Man!" So, there you go Sir. Continue your research from there. Good luck♻
KM I got true love for what you doin!!!Keep pushing comrade!!!Representing all the way from DC!!Southeast to be exact.
Trife Ju 👍🏽
Kev Mac Videos Most Definitely DC loving Kev Mac. Salute to you s/o from Northeast DC 🤝

Bird really givin' it up! Much appreciated!
I love to hear this OG kick game
Dope ass interview. Back when cats proved themselves with they fist and not guns
Mero Mero wish we could go back to those times man.
Fr it woulda been nice living in an era in where men acted like men and not emotional boys. Lol too bad im a 91 baby didnt get to experience that
Mero Mero I was born in 88 and I barely got to experience it lol.. I admit growing up in those times were definitely better in that aspect but our generation definitely has it's advantages.
This Brutha is sharp!! I inspire to be this wise & have this type memory
Damn this elder is 100. I went to Drew from 81-84. East Coast Crips and Florence 13 loved to chase the black and Mexicans back across the tracks. I grew up in 92 Bishop hood. There was Hickory st Watts 13, Elm st 13 in the hood as well. ECC and Florence was not letting us go to school comfortable. Lmao.
Isaiah Martin where exactly did u grow up,I also come outta 92BISHOP HOOD,but I'm younger that you????
jacques aldredge hey chocolate

They still there i have brothers and friends from Colonia remember some of them have influence on the other Colonias
RIP Drek NTS...
Fantastic interview
The man need to write a book
I like how he pronounced the Spanish words and names with the appropriate Spanish/cholo accent, but maintains a cool black gangster accent. He still dresses like a gangster in his old age, but not an over-the-top thug look. It's just suttle things that let you know he's about that life. You can tell he's official.
Man I could listen to this dude talk all day.. How can he remember everything that happened in 57 and I can remember what I had for lunch today
a lot of these varrios that started during the 20s 30s 40s basically started the Los Angeles gang culture as we know it..... during the 30s black folks were just coming in from the south just getting there bearings.. during that time you had white fence, clanton 14, 38 street, dog town , frog town, san Fernando, colonia watts, already there..
@Fact Check NAH HE TALKING ABOUT GANG BANGING LIKE IT IS TODAY IS CAUSE THE VARRIOS, AINT NO DAMN DICE OR SHOE SHINE CLICKS THESE DAYS.
great video this was cool i heard a lot of mexican gangs had black members primera flats had a few in there hood i remember i seen a old picture of elm street watts gang on the internet and one of the members in the picture was black thanks for sharing keep up the great work homie looking forward to more videos peace
your right i heard a lot of blacks use to claim primera flats in boyle heights back then i remember back in 2016 i saw a interview on streetgangs of this older black dude who use to claim that hood in boyle heights his name was wayne turner i also remember he said in the interview that it was a black female member who recruited him in to the hood so your right take care homie peace
Damn kev u been working ot brother.Appreciate your content and work ethic.
Appreciate ur work bro.
Kev Mac a real one thank you!
Reminds me of my homegirl Peewee she's from Big Hazard . Always telling stories like this from the 70s and 80s . Knows names like that and events lol
Andy F Where was PeeWee when 6 ese's firebombed black family's outta Ramona Garden's in 2014?
#OneLuv #FuckYrEthnicity
BIG HAZARD GANG
Brother is a historian
My respect to this OG like to listen from OG’s like this specially when they talk about my South Central walking history right here!!
Great interview! Respect to this OG
The Florence/Firestone area, like OG Moon said, If you survive it, breeds character! In the late 70's early 80's I think the 76 ECG, was the livest Coast set. The gave bomb ass parties, and like the OG's saying, the F13's were right there, in the parties...They had Blacks from their hood too...In fact, I use to go out with Skipper's sister from off of Holmes and Florence! This is after the F13's killed Boscoe from WVG, which was the first gunplay between Watts and Florencia...
No Bang, yeah I grew up with a Brother that was before Skipper or Buck from F13. His name was Val Walker (R.I.P.) A.K.A. Bal or Balentino from F13👊
No Bang when you say first gun play between F13 and Watts you mean WVG right?
Kev Mac Videos ' Right KM, Bosco was from WVG. He was shot by some F13's an died...It was mid to late 70's. Also, I heard Bird mention White Fence. The homie Moman from WVG, Killed a repitable WF13 in the late 70's...The WF13 use to come to the Jordan Downs and buy "WATER"...I grew up with Moman, and his brother Dunney. "SAY RICH, STAY ROLLIN"
No Bang Skipper & Val is my cousins .
There's a lot of blacks from Forence .
Kev Mac I don't know . There older, in there generation it wasn't racial like how it is know . There in there late 40 and early 50's . They was banging and running with Florence wat before the east coast beef .
Now that's some real Los Angeles history right there.
A lot of Knowledge in this Video
I feel a vid like this one should be longer due to the topic being discussed.
Considering what we have now currently going as far as blacks/Hispanics. A good 25 mins at least.
Unless there's a part 2 to this topic, there are somethings not mentioned, concerning this topic.
Such as a situation that occurred in the Ramona Gardens (Big Hazard), Difference between EAST LA/Boyle Heights and South Central hispanics, 18st origin, the Maravillas, etc
How hispanics didn't say "COMP-TONE/CLAN-TONE" but simply Compton and Clanton, back then. Basically they didn't "Spanish-ize" those words back then. Etc
Much Respect to this OG right here! ✊🏽✊🏿
Kev mac number one fan right here
@8:46 Kev,did you add them dog barking sounds?
yea
Southern California of course lol funny af
Lol!!! I was trippin on that too!
Peace and blessings Kev. Great work!! Keep going. Bird is beyond a triple OG. Salute!!
max paris triple OG would be considered disrespectful to a quintuple OG.
OG said, "It has something to do with business and I ain't going no farther than that! He solid as cement and don't bend the code for shit lol
What 🌩🦅 didn't mention about the fight at Riis against Watts is how badly outnumbered they were. He said "Highly Outnumbered" but doesn't give the disparity.
It was about 17 of them(Slauson/Florence) total against over 200 cats from Watts.
Most people ain't gonna believe that though. I only know this cause I heard the story a few years ago.
Thats why Florence push that WattsK
This homie got me the goosebumps
Much Love Brotha, Great Video of History!
That’s right OG is spittin a history lesson
Hell yea much appreciated Kev MAC! You are doing the unthinkable bro! GREAT WORK!!! UNITY between Mexican Americans and African Americans.
This man is very knowledgeable in Chicano gangs
I'm currently living in San Diego but grew up in phila. he so right about the 'low income/ghetto' differences & how most people misuse them. Props for the insight
Olvera Street has a lot of old LA history, they have original buildings and museums in every corner, you’ll find out that that about 50% of LAs original inhabitants were black
Chiefstuh89, a lot of the names there at Olvera St. are the names of black people. They just don't point that out to you. Pio Pico was a black man. He was the last Governor of Alta California under Mexican rule. The streets called Pico in L.A. and Long Beach were named after Pio Pico. And, there's much more. Just do some internet research. You'll be surprised of how far reaching Black history extends into the Mexican culture👊
Chiefstuh89 true
The original inhabitants of LA were and are the Tongva people, not Mexican or Black.
Growing up in Brooklyn in the 70's & 80's you had to fight. But Damn.... growing up in Watts sounds like you grew up in a Boxing gym. I love listening to this shit.
M D we mostly fought out of confrontations. Your biggest worries was being rob. Box cutters were big in the 80’s. Then it was all about the guns in the mid 80’s on and nobody fights anymore now. 🤷🏽♂️
John Becknell BRO...I'M FROM COMPTON...WE WERE.." GANGBANGING"... DAMN NEAR SINCE I COULD REMEMBER...I CAN ONLY SPEAK ON WHERE I'M FROM..MY EXPERIENCE...SERIOUS GUNPLAY STARTED IN THE MID TO LATE 70s FROM MY RECOLLECTION
M D I moved to San Diego in 96 -02. Been to Compton once. That’s why I respect the culture. I loved living in Cali and I’m born n raised in Brooklyn.
John Becknell YES SIR...WHEN YOU GROW UP IN YOUR MIND AND REALIZE THE SHIT WE DID WAS BULLSHIT..IT MAKES YOU ASK THE QUESTION.." WHY DID WE HAVE TO LIVE THIS WAY?
John Becknell YOU HEARD SOME OF THESE OG'S TALKING ABOUT HOW CRIPS WOULD STEAL YOUR LEATHER COAT?.. THAT DISAPPEARED QUICKLY IN COMPTON...CATS DIDNT ALLOW THAT
Great interview Kev
Talkin Ol Boyle Heights my Pops used to talk Hoyo Soto. Way before my time. good video
✔In. Real history lesson. I read a book called "The Black West" by William Katz and learned a little about Pio Pico.
Watts is 21 % black nowadays? It's crazy how demographics change. Another thing that's crazy I noticed in this is Colonia... I swear there's a colonia in every town Oxnard, Bakersfield all that seems to be all around.
Yea I live here in the Colonia and is the First Gang from Watts
This brotha is a student of history!
Og got stories...that's what's up old school shit
