GHWB was of what Tom Brokaw referred to as the greatest generation. Just lost my father who was also from that elk. These men were of an extraordinary character and level of integrity that I will never witness again in my lifetime. I couldn't have had a better example of how just how to do it right in this life than my Dad - and - GHWB always reminded me of him!

I like Jenna Bush Hager. I watch her on Today all the time. Shes a great reporter and seems like a good person.
Jenna's beauty is a combination of both her parents...there's times when she really looks like her Mom. She speaks and sounds much like her Mom. Barbara is pretty...they are just completely different in their looks. Jenna is definitely the most outgoing one. You can tell by their demeanor that they grew up around kindness. They are both very gracious and classy young women.

I watched the funeral services. I have to admit, I wasn't as saddened during the procession as the attendees were, as they should have been. It was a very nice service. But, once they got to College Station in Texas and I saw how many people had come out to show their last respects, and, they were hanging and waving The United States of America flag -- I lost it. The show of loyalty and respect by so many people that stopped what they were doing, for hours, and had come out to College Station to say their last goodbye's, brought me to tears. I sobbed for about an hour. It was a very sobering, solemn and awakening moment. That's America for ya'.
I never knew what it was like to have a good Grandfather...it's wonderful to have these memories...

This is the first time a presidential family history every touched my heart more than the others. They all great family history moments to hear about.
But since I wasn't ready to hear these words of him past away even I fear it was going to happen after seeing the look on his face at his wife funeral I knew he felt now that a part of him is gone he became discouraged but held on as much for the kids and grandkids he love so dearly.
You have/had a great father no matter what people say F what they say. For a president never act alone. Pressure is the causes.
You guys have/had a parent I wish I had. I do not envy for it doesn't run in my blood.

When one can witness the legacy of a man, without the press telling them who he is, it is a miracle! His friends and family loved him beyond measure. Makes me wish I was one of his children. His family values are a beautiful legacy. We could all take some lessons from this amazing man!!
The media was so harsh when Bush 41 was actually President, but now they are singing his praises. It's sad that we so harshly judge our leaders without truly getting to know them. G.H.W.B. had strenth of character, humility, and a love for others that got him labled as a wimp.
