@@Hannah-fq6ce Ziyi had many chances to leave... Perhaps her master was actually acting this way to test her conviction and determination in loving Hu Fei. Basically, asking the question "how much do you love Hu Fei and are you willing to risk everything for him?" Seeing as how Ziyi was unable to answer this question, bordering on indecisiveness. It ultimately costed her so now she will live her life in regret and shame. One of the main takeaways from this amazing show that I believe is that true love should be acted on accordingly. One should not hide how they feel but rather say it for better or worse.

I think Lingsu have been said to her a few times to get together with Hu fei but she refused all along....To be fair Ziyi have been taken risk many time for Hu fei and she knew exactly what she doing...Even begged her master and try to delay to go back and look after him well 🤣...and there again she denied any of her feelings towards him. Having said that love the show but wish for better ending.
@@Hannah-fq6ce I think also Ziyi most likely wanted Hu Fei to "save" her meaning that she wants him to go looking for her when she leaves after episode 16. When she heard that Hu Fei is accompanied by another equally talented, beautiful, and kind girl it must've crushed her heart. As we all know in many romance situations there can never be more than one true love. So Ziyi might've thought its best to distance herself away seeing as how CLS loves Hu Fei and is always there for him unbeknownst to Ziyi that Hu Fei still loves her the most.

Back in the old days when people fall in love they’re are vey deeply like an obsession that they can’t let go but when they felt betrayed or lose that love … one they decided to join the war because they feel like they have nothing left or two they decided to became a monk to forget everything. Monks do fall in love, after all they are just a human being. However they need to learn controling themselves, because they know that love and desire are the cause of suffering. Back then Asian people don’t get to choose who they get to marriage too. Some can not overcome that, they will come back to a normal life, get married and have theirs own family. Some may chose to remain at the temple, because they can’t let go knowing who ever they fall in lover was already married and they feel there nothing for them A few can overcome their weakness and achieve enlightenment. After all, love can be seen as a challenge, one needs to win in order to achieve enlightenment.
Please tell me it dont end like that. Great drama . her becoming a nun ruined the chemistry of their push and pull attraction they had for each other .Disappointed 😞..
For me I'm not disappointed. This ending is realistic. There is no sunshine and rainbows will the "perfect prince marries the princess plot." This ending shows how love can easily be lost if you do not act on it. Ziyi missed the chance to act on her love for Hu Fei and this is the karma. The novel as far as I'm told is also very heartbreaking as well.

Liang jie is very beautiful in this series...she's very good also at her acting...but i was so sad with the ending..they didn't end up together

I don't like the ending. First, my favorite character 💛 Miao Renfeng dies, and then Hu Fei and Ziyi become strangers.
