Hey brother, I understand your pain. I buried both of my parents by age 29, along with my daughter as a young Marine. You honor your Dad by being the man he raised you to be.

Rick, bro I feel ya on this. My dad was an aircraft mechanic in the Air Force (C-130 mexhanic) and I remember going to visit him at his shop as a little kid in the 80’s. The smell of grease, coffee, and stale cigarette smoke always evokes a memory for me. Growing up, I’d be in the car port with him slinging wrenches with him as he taught me to work on cars. He died in ‘98 when I was 18, and I drove his truck until I joined the Army in 2000. He was my hero. He had his flaws, but he was mine. The pain never goes away, you just learn how to live with the pain day by day. I’m 43, and even now, listening to you talk about you dad reminds me of mine, and it brings tears to my eyes. Much love brother, from one son, to another. God bless you.

After my dad passed away, I would take my dad's farm truck and drive down the dirt roads with the windows down listening to this song. My daddy was my best friend, my running buddy, my trip buddy. As an adult woman married with kids, I talked to my daddy several times a day. I will always be a daddy's girl.❤

When my dad passed away in 2010 the one thing I couldn't let go of was his truck. This song hit home for me when it came out in 2012. I drove that truck until about 2017 when I was finally in a place that I was ok letting it go.

I'm a truck guy, but I still have my Dad's 1950 Rocket 88 sedan (the first car he bought new even though he couldn't afford it). We got it running again with all original parts, but I don't know if I can let it go. Peace, Love!!

Lost my little brother. I did keep that ol truck of his for 17 years past his death. I did drive every back road in our little town. I tore up old fields and cried a river of tears in his seat. I miss him more with each year that passes. Hold the memories. That’s what’s irreplaceable!

Man... my dad is 71 and we are restoring his truck. Almost done. Such a beautiful thing to do with him. It is a 1953 ford f100. Was his dad's truck. He bought it new just before my dad was born. We are going back to original. His dad was Air Force, dad was Navy. He was gone most of my childhood out to sea. I spend every minute I can. My 16yo daughter will be here all week. We will finish it with her. She is going into Air Force after school. Want to spend every day making memories. She gets truck when I go. She has had a part in restoration all the way. I gave her my car for her 16th birthday. She gets honor of first drive. Will be an amazing day. ❤

I have massive Respect and admiration for you right now. So glad you are taking the emotion and pain you are in and putting it into something productive and beneficial. If I had just lost my Father I wouldn't be able to do what you are doing. I'm so grateful to still have my Dad, and similar to you, he is my best friend. Next week we have a 3 day fishing trip scheduled and I am excited and looking forward to it. Some of my favorite memories with my dad have been up in the mountains hunting and fishing. Some of my earliest memories are of going to the mountains to fish with my Dad at 3 years old. As we both get older I'm very aware and cognizant not to take these trips for granted. I don't want to think about it, but with each trip, I realize that this could be the last time we get to do this. it makes me live in the moment doing everything I can to make the most of the time we have. back in February of 2022 I got a call from my Dad from the back of an ambulance telling me to go get Mom and bring her to the Emergency Room, He had just rolled his car on his way into work. I didn't know the extent of his injuries, but that was one of the most scarred I've ever been in my life. thankfully he ended up being OK. But it made the fact that I could, and someday likely will, lose him very real to me for the first time in my life. I'm so glad he is still here and in reasonably good health. I'm so, so sorry for your loss, and the pain that you have been, and will continue to go though as you adjust to life without having your Dad around to talk with.

I just started watching your videos today. And been crying with you bro. My grandfather raised me, and we did the same thing. Had to do all the work ourselves out in the driveway. Between working on the house, cars, property, fishing, and going genseng hunting, we had so much fun and he tought me everything about life and how to be a man. He passed in 2016, and it still feels fresh. But around 2012 or 13, i made a cd of all the country songs that reminded me of him. Like brad Paisley he didnt have to be, and letters from home. He finally called me about a month after i gave it to him and said he finally put it in his truck to listen while going to town. He said "dammit boy, whyd you do that?". Confused, i asked what do you mean?. He said " i ended up crying in my truck. Had to sit in the parking lot before i could go into the store.". I told him i just wanted him to know what he meant to me and those songs were the best way to express it. He was an army combat medic in Vietnam and served 22 years active duty. He's my hero. I feel your pain and am sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry for your loss. It is never easy. But it is a journey through grief that we all must take. My mom, my dad, my husband, and waaay too many close friends, they're all gone now. Each loss was another dagger in the heart. But I don't think anything in life makes you grow more as a human than living through grief. I shared your tears on this Saturday night.
A few songs that could make you cry, but they are so beautiful they'll make you feel better, too.
    🌹Andy Griggs "If Heaven"
    🌹Brad Paisley & Dolly Parton
"When I Get to Where I'm Going"
    🌹Brooks & Dunn "I Believe"

I feel your pain, man. I’m 60 years old, and my mom passed away in 2003 (I was 40), and I still think of her every day. Does the pain go away? No. Does it get easier? Some. But you’ve got to remember that your loved one wouldn’t want you to quit living just because they’re gone. I know for a fact that she would be happy that I still think about her, but she’d also smack me up beside the head if I didn’t go on and live my life!

'78 Chevy with only 46k original miles. It was the first vehicle my pops bought when him and my mom moved from there to here. They tease me saying my brother was conceived in the seat I was in. Much love man. My old man and I built a jeep together. He died laying in the mud next to it. There wasn't anything I could do, he was dead when he hit the ground. You let it out, we're in this together.

You are setting an amazing example for the world to see. I hope more people listen to you words and take them to heart and put them to practise.
I do love the music that you have been playing but they are all very emotional and tear jerkers.
Can I suggest something a little more up lifting, John Farnham an Aussie legend.
Always watch live performances and if possible, the ones with the Melbourne symphony orchestra and I would suggest these songs.
    -Your the voice
    - see the banners fall
    - all our sons and daughters
    - in days to come
    - help
    - it's a long way to the top
    - playing to win
    - I can do anything
All these songs are epic and should touch your soul.
Thankyou for talking about your dad, you have so many marvelous memories and some traumatic ones. You are an extremely strong person, you are proof of good people do exist ❤
