before meiosis 1 replication takes so primary spermatocyte contains 46*2=96 chromosomes therefore after meiosis 1 both secondary spermatocyte has 46 chromosomes and after meiosis 2 23 chromosomes in each spermatid likewise n number of cells are formed, the chromosomes numbers you told were , by the way your lectures are best
Thank you. Loved it. you made it really simple. The books and other resources have made this very complicated. My students will surely love this topic on Monday.
Can you come teach my class!?!?!? Hahaha I understood more about this in 7 min then what I have been reading from this boring text book in the last 2 hours. Thanks man 👍
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the flagellum of sperm cells are not yet activated when they are at the lumen of the seminiferous tubules? Hence there is peritubular myeloid cells to push sperm cells through the lumen towards the rete testis, then onwards to the epididymis. Sperm cells' motility is only activated within the epididymis. That was what I learnt.
Thanks for this,i was studying this subject and found it hard to understand until i found this video.By the way, could you also upload summaries and/or transcripts in your vid descriptions? Or perhaps video transcripts on your website? Thanks, and i wish you good luck on your future endeavors.
Spermatids don't mature in epididymis rather that do so in the lumen of seminiferous tubules while attached to the apical membrane of the sertoli cells. Hence both the process of spermatogenesis and spermiogenesis occurs in seminiferous tubules. The epididymis is only for the storage of the mature spermatozoa.
Now this is what I call a perfect lecture on spermatogenesis. Thank u

No. Please know that there is no time during cell life that chromosome number is 92. After replication, there are still 46, just copies, but still 46
