- I just wanted to share some of my Indiana Jones fedoras before I sell a few. Most of these hats are custom; hand made, hand sewn while factory means mass produced in a factory. They're a little more on the higher-end side but I usually wear one of these hats everyday. I hope this video helps some of you choose a vendor to purchase your first hat.

I love all your fedoras, I didn’t know about The Northwestern Hat Co. but I’ve checked them out and I’m planing on ordering the Raiders Fedora from them. Just to correct you the ribbon on the raiders isn’t shifted forward, they took an unabashed Fedora turned it which brings the ribbon forward and then put the bash in it.
Northwest Hats Co. make magnificent hats and can accommodate any requests you make, I have one and use it all the time I'm outside, mine is in a lighter color with a one inch ribbon...Thank you for showing your and this video....

Indian Jones is a good name for these hats which are actually a English style called "Town and Country". Fedoras have to have a tear drop dent and a snap brim, so guys all those nasty little hats everyone thinks are trilbys are really 1950s fedoras, the brims were cut down as narrow was the defining point of men's style at that time.

I’m planning on getting the northwest Fedora and I wanted to know what color is the ribbon is it dark brown like it’s supposed to be or is it black? And the color is it just like the o e on the Pennmen and Steve Delk hat?

I've kept a penman, and an advintage and a northwest hat. :)
So want to get one of these got one but not the exact one Harrison Ford wore.
Each movie had a different hat. The first three were designed by Herbert Johnson whilst the last one was made by adventurebilt

are those sable color hats?
Yes. Sable in french is Sand and generally refers to a mid brown color. Some hatters get their felt a little darker because they will fade over the lifetime of the hat. So these may appear a little darker but I don't mind it. They will be brown for years to come.
@@secretagentmandanV2 True that sable does mean sand in French but the color sable is named after the animal known as a sable, a sort of marten (it's fur is used to make high end artist's brushes) a member of the mustidae familly & is usually a dusky dark brown color.

How many cm is the crown height and brim length of a good Indy fedora?
Crown height is 5.5 inches. Brim is a bit more than 2.25 inches. Check indygear

Sorry for the late reply, Dark dark brown ribbon, true to original color and not black. Felt should have been his dark brown color. Tell him indy's color and he will know

It's rabbit fur, a bi-product of the food industry. True enough though, there's nothing humane about raising rabbits packed in tiny cages & then slaughtered in barbaric ways but humans have lost any sense of 'humane' long ago, especially where their stomachs are concerned.
