I'm so happy I've found your channel your simplifying all the things I've been trying to teach myself about colouring and bleaching hair! I've just come back from the hair shop with a big bag of goodies 😂 I would love if you could make another video explaining the Wella colour system it's driving me crazy 🤪 💜

If you’re interested, I’d love a video about the “B-team” wella toners (t14,t11,ect). When to use them, what developer, etc. A little anecdote: I used T18 all over my balayaged hair with 10vol. I didn’t notice a change to my virgin root color. However, about a month later I did a test strand with blonde dye and only a sliver of my root took the color. Anything that touched the t18 did not take to the dye at all. I only thought to test a strand because of your helpful videos. I’m sooooo thankful I did a test strand otherwise I would’ve had skunk stripes 😅 Thank you for educating us about hair!

i absolutely love this series you're doing now! i really appreciate that you just cut the sh*t, give us the actual reasoning and science behind WHY we need to do things the way we see it done. Such a tiny mistake or misunderstanding how to do your own (or someone else's, i guess lol) hair leads to HUGE issues that last. If i dont understand why it needs to be done in a certain order or exactly what it is doing for me, it is always a guessing game if my hair will come out anywhere close to what i want lol
I watched the color filler explained video and i think i understand why my hair keeps losing color so fast now. i went from box red (vidal sassoon runway red) used it for 5 to 8 years or more, then covid happened....we all got weird with our hair during covid lol
bleached, dyed, cut, dyed, bleached more, gave up on fancy colors and am trying to be the same old red i used to be. but now the ends of my hair are back to yellow blonde after two weeks or so and the color just keeps fading.
in this instance, do you think a color filler would help my hair retain some of the red? If so, what would you recommend as a filler color? just any kinda warm color? because i like the red to be BRIGHT and it used to be, but I just keep putting the same box dye over everything once every 4 to 6 weeks and then its faded all the way back to (an admittedly really cool looking ombre, but sooo yellow) when my hair USED to be able to hold red like no ones business.

Does A protein filler do the same thing as a porosity equalizer?

You explain things so perfectly. I bought Aphogee ages ago not having a clue what it’s for etc. My hair is damaged on the ends and I keep putting off getting it cut but listening to your video has helped it really has. Brilliant video thank you Brittnee from Cathy in UK ❤ xx

What about before a lightning process ? I would think it would be harder to Pentwater if lighter goes in cuticle ?

Thank you for sharing this Britnee. I’m getting ready to touch up my hair and being that it is damaged from over processing I hope this helps. I found a good hair mask TGI honey mask that works great for my hair like i have nerve processed it. Anyway I waited longer than my normal time to highlight to give my hair a break. Thanks again

@brittnee alexus hair Can I ask if Matrix SoColor in the before fore times (years ago) had anything in it to help make the hair smooth & shiny. Ever since I switched hairdressers and none use SoColor, my hair is never as shiny. It's always dryer with less movement from the frizz even after I've started all over with virgin hair. Is there any major differences with respect to brands and the effects they will have on your hair? I've been to strictly ,let's say, "Kenra" salons and salons that have multiple brands that they can choose from. So, should we be concerned at all with the brands they use on our hair?
What are some of your favorite oil treatments? Have you used Cholesterol for your hair and can you tell us what it does? Sorry for so many questions. My brain 🧠 never stops once it starts going. I love your channel the most of any hair channels. Thank you!💜

I had good results with Aphogee about 17 years ago, when a sh*tty stylist fried my previously healthy hair. New stylist used Aphogee, then did highlights and lowlights so it matched my sandy blonde natural out growth. Night and day difference.
Back in the 80s we all used mayo, beer, eggs, honey, etc as hair masks all the time, lol. Some shampoo/conditioner duos used beer or protein. The first hair conditioner was apparently basically mayo. Just sharing some oldey timey hair anecdotes. 😂

So my roots have taken very well obviously not as damaged but the Mids and ends have taken partially so - protein filler then dye and apply every time I re dye which for me is typically every 4-6 weeks but how do I stop the build up? Detox shampoo and then protein and then dye or? 🩷🩷🩷
