This is a short summary of all the weeks we spent working on the hard. When we bought the SY Johanna, we already knew that we will have a lot to do to prepare her for offshore sailing. It was a hard time, but also fun, and especially extremely important to get to know every single corner of the boat (we still don't know everything and there are still surprises....). And it's always useful to know how to work with glass fiber and epoxy.
What we did:
Complete hull refit (gelshield, antifouling)
New seavalves
Teak refit
Anchor box reinforcement and anchor winch service
Some new pieces furniture
Installing AIS
Salt water pump for the pantry
...and a lot more things....
-...and a lot of things that still need to be done....
-...and a lot of new things that will need to be done...
But that's part of it :-)
