I just love when Regine takes the lead, it's such a synth-pop heart-ache ballad, and still danceable, UGH, one of the best on the album for me
The actual video (the clean-up after Mardi Gras in New Orleans) is surprisingly effective with this song.

Not an Arcade Fire fan, never heard any of their other albums, just came out of curiosity because someone mentioned this new song of theirs was horrible, in other words i came for a good laugh...ended up actually loving the song..
This album was one of their worst, but this and we dont deserve love are great songs :)

It's more of a Tom Tom Club meets Blondie meets Bowie vibe. Maybe a dash of Kate Bush in there somewhere. Also, MGMT's Weekend Wars sounds more glam era Bowie than glam era Bowie, imo

Htheorphanarian actually they played it live a few times now, and Regine hits all the high notes quite amazingly.
Regine's voice is absolutely stunning live. I saw them early july and they sounded absoluty amazing (better than studio imo). They played some Everyting Now songs. I have no doubts Regine will rock this aswell.
I don't know why everyone is saying shit about Regine's voice in this album... Nobody said something when Sprawl ll has been released in the suburbs. Most of her voice is pretty autotuniic, but my theory is she does thaat to show us in live that her voice is more beautiful than people believe
Mmmm....gotta disagree there. In my experience, she's definitely a studio voice..and just barely at that.
I don't know how or why (maybe because they were playing so loud) but I just show their show yesterday and when they were playing live, in the moment they sounded fucking brilliant and amazing as their studio performance but when I watched some of the videos on my phone Regine specifically did not sound as good as I heard her, I think its probably had something to do with acoustics and how my phone picked up the audio but they sounded SO GOOD when it was in person but recordings of concerts just sound... eh.
