Una herramienta difícil y poco práctica para un guardia, en una pelea no hay tanto pose ni técnica, los agresores son muy inestables y se mueven muy distinto. De cualquier manera es el segundo mejor video que veo, el mejor fue una película de Nico, pero era una verdadera maquina de pelea. Felicitaciones al instructor y su ayudante.

In my modest opinion the techniques against knife are a little bit unrealistic: nobody drop a knife so easly expecially in a real confrontation. The defences from a stick are more realistic also for the multiple repeated attacks; again,nobody with a knife try to hit u one time

The smartest thing to do against someone with a knife is to bring out a gun

No such thing as "nobody does or doesn't do this or that" when it comes to confrontation and fighting.
Of course, we see plenty of highly unrealistic knife defenses in martial arts circles, but there are also plenty of inept knife wielders out there who can potentially be defeated rather "easily" by a simple technique.
While it is obviously a mistake to think that you can beat effortlessly anyone who attacks you with a knife, it is equally false to think that each and every attacker knows what he's doing. Thankfully, plenty of them bad guys are simply clueless.

I'm not a professional, but that knife defense seems weird.
If I had a knife and would be fighting against a blunt weapon I would try to close the distance. The way the tonfa is held in both hands and put in front of you doesn't allow for quick enough strikes or defense against him grabbing the tonfa and/or closing the distance.
Also why is the knife guy trying to slice the tonfa :-D ?
Punch to the wrist is kiiinda alright, but again, if he wouldnt try to slice thin air the distance would be reaaally different one.

I think that because the tonfa is also good for stabbing,so it can be painful to close in,also they use rapid strikes on the hand and wrist. I think that the knife attacks are too coreographed,but the also move first slowly and then at real life speed,so i am willing to listen to them.

Rosario Occhipinti plastica con rinforzo sulle parti finali(i rinforzi posso essere anche di metallo). Comunque il tonfa tradizionale è in legno
