    You will love that mower! I have about 50 Hours on my 80" MTL XC8 on a JD 333G and it is a beast! I do have counter weight on the 333G, That helps a lot with balance. Congrats, Looking forward to new videos.

      Man, I bet that 80" cut is a beast for sure! How do you like your 333G? Any issues? When I upgrade I'm thinking of going with a 333G. Either than or a Tak TL12V2

    • @rbbuscher

      When I got the 333G she had 950 hrs on it. A farm used it to push dirt in the fields. The thing is loaded with options. I enjoy the machine. Very strong. I was looking at the 331G but it’s the same frame just a smaller motor. So I went for the big dog. What I’m most impressed with, is the balance. I have three weights on each side and with the XC8 it’s balance perfectly. I looked at Cat and Bobcat but all the used units had concrete rash. I also got a 84” tooth bucket from MTL. Also built to last. I think it’s better than JD. I really enjoy your videos. I do a lot of the same, part time in Nebraska. Check out RBBUSCHER Enterprises on Facebook. I have photos there. Keep the videos coming.

    Oh yeah. I'm sure you get plenty of pointers. But this really works great. With the third edge on the front of the blades.... If you'll flip every other blade upside down it will function like the bias on a saw kerf. You'll consume less power and have smoother cuts in large material. The legendary Brown Tree Cutter was the first machine to my knowledge to use this concept.

    I got the XC8T this summer, I freaking love it, except for the damn stump grinding mulching heads, they shear bolts almost instantly. You sneeze on anything other than grass or small limbs and the leading bolt is gone, then you have a heck of a time getting the broken parts out. Only problem I have with it, love it otherwise. Just saw that your mulching heads are completely different! I like that style SO MUCH MORE!!!!!! I wish there was a way to switch to that style.

    I have a query. With a stump like that 8 incher, why not move in closer and hit it with the grinder teeth on the wheel?

    • @idigit4967
      @idigit4967  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question! The teeth don't quite stick down far enough to get a good stump cut so what I usually do is raise the cutter just a bit off the ground and drop the nose of the cutter at about a 10-15 degree angle and just drive the center of the cutter right into the stump and that will cut if down below grade so its not sticking up.

    Do you have any problems with material being wedged between the two plates? If so how hard is it to remove material?
    How difficult is it to replace the teeth?
    Appreciate the review! Was very helpful am in the market for a machine like this.

    • @idigit4967
      @idigit4967  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Material can and does occasionally get wedged in between the plate carriers. It typically happens near or behind the blades. The best thing I've found to get it out is a small chainsaw head attached to a long pole saw. Just stick it in there and grind whatever is in there out. By using the pole saw it is safer as it can't kick back on you but it may ruin the chainsaw chain so be prepared for that.

    After keeping up with all your videos it seems you are partial to the xct 3 blade. Is it because the carrier is lighter and better tip speed? If I hear you correctly the xct is low flow and the xct8 is high flow so I would have guessed the xct8 would be similar in tip speed. I'm close to buying a cutter but mtl is now sold out. Thinking high flow open front skid pro but it has drop down blades. Svl97 high flow is carrier. Thanks for great videos

    • @idigit4967
      @idigit4967  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Both cutters are high flow as is the skid steer itself. Its just that the XCT (3 blade), the piston motor can only handle 27 gal/m of flow. But my skid steer tops out at 33 gal/m, so when I run my XCT I turn on the high flow but I only run the throttle at about 75-80%.

    • @tcmoney1321
      @tcmoney1321 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you could only have one of your mtl cutters for your Deere which one you prefer for grass, to brush to trees. It just seems that xct8 carrier is so heavy the tip speed is slow. Thanks for your honesty opions btw. Love your videos
