    I love this kind of content, best combo of entertainment and learning. Keep these coming!
    By the way, have you considered diving deeper into muay thai and kickboxing with 4 oz/smaller gloves? Ive been really interested in that. Seems like a great idea to make these sports even more tranferable to real life scenarios and MMA. Plus you're probably gonna get more head movement, footwork and dynamic techniques, which will most likely get more fans. Feels like a very positive step forward. What do you think?
    Cheers from Portugal my good man

      Gabriel’s style currently really takes advantage of blocking with the big gloves but he’s good he’d probably be able to adapt to a more head movement and less blocking/parrying game with time

    • @JimDarkmagicThe4th
      @JimDarkmagicThe4th 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      4oz gloves arent super close to real life, they give way too much protection. You wouldnt be throwing full power to the head unless you wanted to break your hands.

    8:05 great slip by Buakaw. I think Petrosyan was deliberately loading that straight to trick Buakaw into slipping first and then smacking him but Buakaw slipped on pure reaction after Petrosyan threw. Very fast head movement too, cant even see the slip at this framerate

      I don’t understand your logic, you say buakaw is a poster boy for k1 yet ernesto, bojanksy and aerts fought in k1 which is hypocritical of you and I assume your just biased on the subject. Number 2 yoshihiro sato is 10x more recognizable then and then Andy we can legit look up on TH-cam the names and more results will pop up about yoshihiro I can guarantee you that I can also gurantee that in any normal kickboxing circle yoshihiro sato is much more recognizable and sounds familiar,ristes most notable wins where against robin van roosmalen, and a fading Albert kraus…. And he only has the glory lightweight championship on his resume and is on a 2 fight losing streak sato on the other hand has wins over mike zambadis, kaolan, kaoklai, Albert kraus in his prime! Face it your just biased ov

    • @shajeedislam1181
      @shajeedislam1181 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      AFAIK, this is common a) because there are several rounds, making it useful to conserve energy and feel out the opponent; and b) because it's customary in a lot of traditional Muay Thai to start slow to let spectators get their bets in. This isn't always the case though.

If Petro, and Marat win their matches, I believe the Culmination of Petrosyan vs Grigorian will be in the next event... The most stacked event in striking ONE Championship has had so far. This fight was for the WMC World middleweight Muay Thai title.
    There was no elbows due to the Swedish rules at the time, but the fight was,or should have been, scored by Muay Thai criteria.
