My first turn i spent all my points on navy, wiped out the Sovremenny fleet with rocket arty ships and moskits. Sea was mine from then on.
Magni56 Sounds like a legitimate strategy! Best I could do so far was a draw, i managed to get all my moskits anf a-9s(or are the a-5's i cant remember atm) killed and only elimnated one sov and a few nanushkas. So ill have to try this, the noob that I am completely forgot about firing arc of certain weapons!
Thanks for the heads up! To be honest the best thing that helped me was realizing that I had to get my broadsides facing them.
I also realized that my tactic of conservation (of points and units) was causing me to lose more units than save. I sent the marines in as well for a good number of ludas and spawned in around 8 or so. Having so many allowed them all to cover each other well and make the enemy waste their ASM's.
Only lost 1 luda to a mig. I tried to have the shanghais in with the ludas for aa, but the migs were to good and shanghais couldnt hit them.

Awesome way to take kravtsovka with so few casualties!
I cheated a bit by reloading once I realized their strategy is to ram every ATGM down your throat I stayed on my little "Isalnd" and set up tanks and infantry all along the front hidden by the hedges, literally wiped them out without incurring a single loss. But it got a good deal messier from there, those motostrelki are BA and Im not so good at micromanaging and reinforcing/rearming my troops yet.
At 13:45 when you say "its okay if we lose our transports" it opens google assistant on my phone.
are we just gonna ignore the fact that the land forces unit says "Long Wang".

This is without doubt the hardest campaign.
The Chinese are slow to deploy their units, got few points and their equipment is prehistoric compared to the USSR

In real life in this time period, China would have the manpower strength, but would be destroyed by the Soviets due to the better technology and training.

Raptor, I don't know how far are you into the campaign already but I have to warn you that you cannot disembark your troops at kavalerovo. You can only disembark at sectors with an arrow pointing at the coast (which is only Vladivostok). I learned this the hard way and wasted like 3 turns.
Ah good info! Much thanks! Looks like I'll have to do things the hard way. I'm about 10 turns ahead at the moment.

Best strat is to use moskits to swarm the first Sov and then use rocket barrage ships (which aren’t targeted by ASM) to get nice and close and fire on the last one

i think it would be best to sent anti ship plane, get more fleet (if you have more point) or start the attack early with ground troop (press the planned attack button if available since it's looks like you have to move fast and hard

Cohesion means how well things work together. I'm guessing by including this the game wants you to have mechanized regiments fighting alongside engineers and stuff like that
Not exactly. The military have their own dictionary and to them cohesion describes an individual unit's ability to perform effectively. It includes variables such as the unit's supply status, its psychological status, the level of its training, and how well commanded and organized it is.

TimenyCricket All that aside, Timeny, the good commander does make sure that he uses combined arms. You can have the best AA units in the game but a cheap reserve infantry unit can kill them in a heartbeat - and you can deploy 180 point tanks to the most strategic choke points on the map and they can be defeated by a little helicopter. So though your definition might not have been completely accurate, your instincts were spot on.

I realized you, like me, seemed surprised at how short the missions in single player can feel.. you have to remember that its a persistent battle taking place over 2-3 days or turns :P and realistically so. based on that ending I'd say you wouldve started next battle there with delta under control and charlie neutral had the enemy not retreated :p something to keep in mind

Cohesion is supposed to be the opposite of disorganization.
this has to be the hardest campaign due to how god awful china/NK units are.
If you look at the scoreboard, you can see that you lost no infantry. Nevertheless you only have 19 infantry left. I think that's because their transports was destroyed.

working on a name s: Tom Clancy wrote a novel called The Bear and the Dragon, part of the Jack Ryan series. Summed up, it takes place after the Soviet Union's collapse (and other Jack Ryan novels.) Basically, Russia finds a shitload of oil and gold in Siberia in range of the Sino-Soviet border and enlists help from the US to begin extraction. Later on in the story, China makes a big move to take the area by force but is beaten back.

I dont like this campaign. I absolutely despise the PRC. Hate the idea of even playing as them. Would much rather the game be from the Soviets perspective. Just the though of PLA soldiers dying excites me.
