    Last year I started getting severe headaches, then a none itchy rash appeared all over my shoulders and back and torso, then I had a high fever, muscle aches and fatigue for a week. A few weeks later my knee swelled up then my ankle, I assumed it was gout or something. Then I got chronic arthritis In my hands and and fingers, some of my fingers even look slightly deformed. at this time I also started losing my hair at the front. My doctor was convinced given my age (38) it was a reactive arthritis I was tested for everything even HIV and nothing was found and liver and kidney function perfect, etc. Last week I took the at home NHS test and it came back I am reactive for Syphilis the one thing I was not tested for, Going tomorrow to get a proper test - if it is syphilis will a full course of antibiotics help get my hands back to normal?

    Can genital herpes cause joint pain?

    • @DrBretPalmer

      Not that I'm aware of, usually pain around the skin of the area effected, a post herparic neuralgia, more common with chicken pox infections.

    I had joint swelling in both knees, left big toe, right thumb and right groin joint area after getting chlamydia. Took my antibiotics which eventually caused my joint swelling to go away, a couple months later I’m having pain in right groin area again. This is extremely painful and having difficulty walking, do you think I’m experiencing reinfection?

      Definitely get a test to rule it out. If negative then may need to see a Rheumatologist

      @@adbyrd29 It recently faded away in my knees, noticed some pain on leg days but not anymore. Virtually gone in my right groin, doing the hip aduction/abduction whichever one that you close your legs with weight instead of spreading them I think helped getting rid of it a lot. Do reps in the area that hurts and you’ll notice it gradually go away with each session. You could also eat healthier and take quality supplements like salmon oil or anything that helps joint health.

    Can arthritis can transfer through a kiss or saliva ???

    • @DrBretPalmer
      @DrBretPalmer  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Depends on the cause of arthritis.
      Either way, I wouldn't worry about it.

    Doctor I had sex 3 days ago it was with a condom but there was some friction to the vagina without the condom, today I noticed a lot of white discharge from my penis and I can see it in my underwear.. this is not my first time to have this issue. Everytime I do the screen test it shows negative for infections. And is it possible to recovery even if it’s the third time?

      Any response please?

      Sorry for delay, busy at work.
      Same partner, closed relationship? If so should improve.
      If a new partner or open relationship then worth attending a sexual health clinic as they can put a sample of the discharge under a microscope to see if there's an infection.
      If there is no sexual health clinic in your country/area, then a urine dip can be done. If shows leukocytes then urine should be sent for gonorrhoea, Chlamydia and mycoplasma genitalium and a course of antibiotics.

      @@DrBretPalmer thank you for your response, it’s open relationship. I had gonorrea and chlamydia test and all comes negative, I’ve got cefteriaxone 250mg injection and I have doxycycline twice a day for a week. I don’t know how I have the symptoms while the test comes negative? Anyway, the symptoms get improve now.

      @xTrojanz ceftriaxone in the UK is usually 1 gram, so may need to consider a bigger dose, still given in the same way.
