it actually does, I noticed that too which is weird but it does actually work on windows 7 as I have windows 7, don't know if it works on vista though, theres many forums on the internet regarding why it says that it doesn't work on windows 7 when it does, maybe a mistake of Rockstars and a bad mistake of theirs too as this will decrease their sales, add me on Steam 'JohnShepardN7ME' and get MC2 and I will play with you :D
ConPlays It does,I got it for free when rockstart was giving it on steam and it worked on win7 64 just fine and with no tweaks necessary, same with win7 32.
It would be great of a motion picture film of this video game. Brings back the good old days. So hyped up! Much love guys, be safe, and God Bless. 🥰❤️🙏🏻
19 years ago I was 9, I played this game completely till Savo, but this song reminds me that I’d fall asleep to the main menu and wake up back to it in the middle of the night. At that moment I just wondered what my future would be like? Today I wonder if I was more happier back then.
Summer of 03, I was 11 years old, just finished 6th grade, and little did I know the impact this game would leave on me. I still come back to listen to classic soundtrack this game had. And right now I’m contemplating buying a ps2 and this game just so I can relive my childhood
But the damn thumbnail fits perfectly. The color change just even set the mood even bigger. Feels like a film. Something games these days don’t really have.
god I would do anything to go back in time and relive the old past. 2004 playing this game was the best. I really hate the future also. Games just aren't the same as they use to be. The music. Everything about this game was incredible. Kids nowadays really missed out. This era of the early 2000's was golden and would sell my soul just to go back in relive it.

AHHH. What good times were those when i played midnight club 2 . although it was a little difficult game but the story and the cities were great . PARIS, TOKYO and LOS ANGELES
This racer is one of the best ones I've ever played during the good ol' early sixth generation era of gaming. Three cities around the world to screw around in, challenging races, vehicles that have their own feel to them, and a cool soundtrack, this game had enough things I could ask for, then came Midnight Club 3 which is even better.
Lembro de quando eu acordava no sábado de manhã ainda, ligava meu ps2 e jogava esse jogo por horas no modo arcade Sdds de jogar essa obra prima,um jogo que nenhum outro conseguiu trazer a sensação que ele trouxe
Where are you now Gina, why you missing. Please Rockstar bring this character in midnight club again.🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ I love midnight club franchise. Seriously man. #midnightclubcomeback
If you never know this game, you'll think Midnight Club 3 is Best But once y'know this game and played it till end, this game definitely ahead of it's time The underrated benchmark of street racing games
Never did a long play on this game but the soundtrack is absolutely ahead of its time but again if it would release again people would definitely sleep on it. Just like the JSRF soundtrack
You won't get a soundtrack as great as this again. It's in part, due to the decade it was released in. The era of Trance and experimental samples was in full swing, which is like a dopamine boost every time you listen. Just listen to, 'The Art of Trance - Breathe (Original Mix)' which didn't make the final game but really should of. Everything back then or most things, were exciting, technology and design's actually looked what I imagined the future to look like, a very alien, Y2K, spaceship looking future and then of course, we were all lied to in infomercials by big corporations, everything is going to look like this or that but in fact, fast forward to now, everything is generic, minimalistic, corporate garbage. Minimalism is like a disease, infecting the whole world, just look at company logo's now compared to the late 90's to the early 2000's, there's no comparison, everything is a lot faker, a lot more garbage and I now have existential dread from the current era we live in. Sad times, man, sad times.
@cloudst1472 The gta games that took place in Liberty City also have that similar theme with the music n atmosphere, I remember speeding through cities with trance music playing as a kid 😂
Till this day I think this was the best street racing game ever. It was simple racing to get the better car, it made it so competitive and fun the music awesome should of been played on the radio. This was and still is my favorite street racing game of all time shout out to Rockstar Games.
The entire soundtrack in this game is incredible, you can be proud to be a part of it. I don't know how much it contributed to me turning out to be a musician, but it definitely did something.
Man, this track just screams late 90s to early 2000's. It has that sort of dark and mysterious atmosphere that really dominated the tail end of the 90s all the way into the 2000s. David Helpling is a genius. I would like to see, I think it was, three other versions he sent to Rockstar as alternatives mixes but it's doubtful they still exist. I would also love to see this track released, standalone in 5.1 surround, would sound amazing. It's a shame all the game versions use 2.0 Stereo and weren't mixed into 5.1 Surround. 0:25 has that sort of mix of hopefulness and the dangerous reality that is street racing. There is only one path, there is only one definitive outcome and that is to be number one. At 1:05 when the female voice sample comes through, it's as though she's telling you it's now or never and there's no going back. 1:51 onward and 2:26 onward to 2:35 is like the end has come but with much loss and the passing away of several racers due to high speed crashes but this is the way of the racer and it's not for everyone and thus, the Midnight Club, continues. I really don't think Rockstar will ever make any sort of new entry in the series and even if they did, it wouldn't be the same. II is quite possibly the great in the series because of how different it is to other mainline entries in the series like how Tekken 4 stands out to all that came before and after it. Another thing, the atmosphere that was prevalent in the second entry and throughout the music scene and other media at the end of the 90s into the 2000's no longer exists like it did, it just wouldn't work and nothing will most likely, ever come close to this sort of deep layering of everything that makes the game work like it did into one single packag, ever again. Very tragic. The past is dead and the future isn't bright like how the turn of the millennium promised but, at least we have reminders of the greatness that once existed and is never returning.
What a fitting tune for such a classic game :D At 1:05 I always imagined the signaling girl would cal out to all the racers on the starting line. One of the racers would then react to her by simply reving up the engine in a way that the exhaust blasts would match the music x)
As a kid I could never beat Dice, so I was always stuck in LA, despite that I still had so much fun, even using cheat codes and playing from the beginning to try the cars I couldn't ever get to. Now that I'm replaying it right now I can confidently say, even still to this day, my favorite cars are the Jersey XS and the Saikou XS. Listening to this song and Gina's themes bring tears to my eyes of nostalgia as cringe as that sounds. Lmao
Remember playing the demo online constantly in 2003-2004 :D. Loved the game and played the full for some time in 2008-2009. Makes me happy that I still have this game (PS2) after all these years!
Lucky bastard
"I am not interested in anything you have to say. Drive!" - Makoto
My first Midnight Club... What an introduction that this song was. I fucking love this game.
this game formed my childhood and is still the best game i have ever played everything about it just feels different than any other racing game
I'm so glad I played this game. Back in '05 I asked my dad to buy me MC3 when it just came out and instead he got me MC2 but after playing it I loved it ( I eventually did get MC3 for psp in '06) haven't played my MC2 since '06 b/c my Xbox was stolen :/ when I get a job that's the first thing I'm buying so I can play it again and relive my childhood
Just get it from Steam for 6£
John Shepard it Dosn'twork for Windows Vista and Windows 7 :(
it actually does, I noticed that too which is weird but it does actually work on windows 7 as I have windows 7, don't know if it works on vista though, theres many forums on the internet regarding why it says that it doesn't work on windows 7 when it does, maybe a mistake of Rockstars and a bad mistake of theirs too as this will decrease their sales, add me on Steam 'JohnShepardN7ME' and get MC2 and I will play with you :D
ConPlays It does,I got it for free when rockstart was giving it on steam and it worked on win7 64 just fine and with no tweaks necessary, same with win7 32.
John Shepard Planning on getting it too :P
It would be great of a motion picture film of this video game. Brings back the good old days. So hyped up! Much love guys, be safe, and God Bless. 🥰❤️🙏🏻
I loved that nostalgic menu music.. reminds me of all those hours i spent playing this during my childhood and sometimes visit today
Oh damn I wrote this comment when I was 16 lol
Damn, this brings back so many memories. This game is one of the reasons I'm so into cars today. Fucking brilliant.
19 years ago I was 9, I played this game completely till Savo, but this song reminds me that I’d fall asleep to the main menu and wake up back to it in the middle of the night. At that moment I just wondered what my future would be like? Today I wonder if I was more happier back then.
Im playing this game right now to this day. :)
Me too
me too 100%
Guys you filled me with nostalgia. It hit hard
So am I, mate... Don't feel too bad...!
Same. Wish me luck with Savo :P
Summer of 03, I was 11 years old, just finished 6th grade, and little did I know the impact this game would leave on me. I still come back to listen to classic soundtrack this game had. And right now I’m contemplating buying a ps2 and this game just so I can relive my childhood
2016 Still most Nostalgic Industrial song.
nah midnight club 3 theme is the best
+Eagles In Da House how about both?
+NFS Beast NUP
this theme is by far the best
the feel that mc3 didn't have.
Lary Wide Hole why?
But the damn thumbnail fits perfectly. The color change just even set the mood even bigger. Feels like a film. Something games these days don’t really have.
right feels so good like we are on memory lane I remeber seeing those cars with th concept art a tale for good times
@@tylercouture216 hell yeah bro. These type of games took you on a wild ride. Just imagine living in this atnosphere lol. My gooodd
@@lee_the_underground_producer If you were born in the late 80's you could've lived this vibe
@@nibel-k1433 ?
@@lee_the_underground_producer what do you not understand? 😅
It's 2014, friday night. Playing this at my grandma's house on the old PS2. Times have changed.
2:25 is what i mostly remember to this, especially the rx7 bouncing of its limiter in the menu select
Soarerfox YES! It’s the part of the song that’s in my memory when I think about it
This game is absolutly mesmerizing
Underrated masterpiece
I really hate the future😤 the old days always will be the best 😭 forever 🌎
@A real bisexual petrol-head fuck you
god I would do anything to go back in time and relive the old past. 2004 playing this game was the best. I really hate the future also. Games just aren't the same as they use to be. The music. Everything about this game was incredible. Kids nowadays really missed out. This era of the early 2000's was golden and would sell my soul just to go back in relive it.
@A real bisexual petrol-head and your ignorance is why today's future is screwed up. Because of people like you. At least back then people had lives and didn't have time to waste on trolling people on the internet.
Dude wtf
@A real bisexual petrol-head You have no content on your channel (neither do I), but stooping this low because of a comment is below immaturity! Get a life, unless you enjoy trolling, if so, please prepare to be reported.
First time I saw the MC2 commercial on TV: "NOW WITH MOTORCYCLES!!!" I was stoked
Get high and listen to this sound track its 1,000x more incredible 🔥 Classic Game this was RockStar at its best
AHHH. What good times were those when i played midnight club 2 . although it was a little difficult game but the story and the cities were great . PARIS, TOKYO and LOS ANGELES
In this year of 2023, this game completes 20 years. I wish we could get something new to this franchise, or a remake of this game.
All we can do as fans is make sure mc2 never gets forgotten
@@RAIDEN901 yeah, we must keep it alive in our playthroughs
This racer is one of the best ones I've ever played during the good ol' early sixth generation era of gaming.
Three cities around the world to screw around in, challenging races, vehicles that have their own feel to them, and a cool soundtrack, this game had enough things I could ask for, then came Midnight Club 3 which is even better.
I kinda love that game, which is great.
Mc2 has the best video game soundtrack ever... made me realize how much i like trance music
Midnight Club 2 was the first video game I've ever played. Has a very special place in my heart.
Man, the Midnight Club are some of the best racing games ever made, and their music never fails to dissapoint
16 years man. This game is great
Remaster please. Rockstar plz.🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤
a remaster I would absolutely die
Chills down the spine.. till this day
🌆🚗🚓🌇
Favorite part always has been and probably always will be starting at 2:26 and the deep note at 2:34. Pulls at me
Lembro de quando eu acordava no sábado de manhã ainda, ligava meu ps2 e jogava esse jogo por horas no modo arcade
Sdds de jogar essa obra prima,um jogo que nenhum outro conseguiu trazer a sensação que ele trouxe
Gina:" See you later man but don't be getting any silly ideas". Come back gina please 😭😭😭😭❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏
Where are you now Gina, why you missing. Please Rockstar bring this character in midnight club again.🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I love midnight club franchise. Seriously man. #midnightclubcomeback
The saddest part is that the voice actress has passed away back in 2019
@@steef9591 You must be trolling man, seriously 😒. She's still alive.
@@steef9591 How? What happened?
It wasnt just this game there was many great games made around that time, played at that time and we will never be able to re live it.
I love the 90s feel if they ever make a new midnightclub it must have this feel to it the last one really did not have any of that feeling
If you never know this game, you'll think Midnight Club 3 is Best
But once y'know this game and played it till end, this game definitely ahead of it's time
The underrated benchmark of street racing games
This game had a soul
Thanks so much you guys!!! It's been 20 years and this music is still vibin' on you 💿😎💿
It's eerie.
The entire soundtrack in this game is incredible, you can be proud to be a part of it. I don't know how much it contributed to me turning out to be a musician, but it definitely did something.
Menu music and UI were pretty good.
Thanks Rockstar for making my childhood dreams come true 🎉😊
I just started playing this on my PC the nostalgia is something else still in 2022
So ahead of it's time.
Childhood memories
Lmao
MC2 had the best soundtracks ever in a game
it's so damn nostalgic to hear this
Was 11 when this video came out.... same year my dad was killed, rip, he used to watch me play this 🙏🏽rip dad ❤️ 💙
This is the only race game that makes my heartbeat speed up whenever im seconds away from winning a race
Cuz 1 small mistake and it's an instant loss. Those where the days
Remember playing the demo online constantly in 2003-2004 :D. Loved the game and played the full for some time in 2008-2009. The game was so awesome and remember falling under the map by the tunnel near the sea :D. Then there was the Asset D modders/hackers with unlimited boost, was amazed by them! Gee how I miss being 12/13.
This game's soundtrack... it was so surreal.
It really made you feel as if you were transported into their world of cars.,..
Midnight club II and Need for Speed hot pursuit 2 were the best.
And still are.
***** xD yeah, right
i have hot pursuit 2 but damn it's hard
no. lmao hold this L

A surprisingly dark and furturistic theme for a racing game
This game is my frickin childhood.
Let’s be honest if Moses wasn’t in that car it would’ve gone A LOT faster😒
beef and broccoli, yo
I wish this game had more characters with there own unique music
I felt like everyone in the studio was going crazy when they heard this!
I still play this game everynow and then on my ps2, the was and always will be one of the greatest.
So cool, the speed the music the characters.
Thumbs up if you wished this was a song available for racing Zen.
"The future of illegal street racing", that slogan was sooo on point at the time, truly felt revolutionary👌
I still play this game just to listen to the music.
"this edible aint shit"
30 minutes later: 0:00
I remember staying up late at night playing alone in the dark. Man this game used to scare the shit out of me. Never got that feeling from any racing game again.
But why 😂 ...? The only scary person is probably that weird Asian guy that took Gina's car in Japan 😂😂😂
It feels so nostalgic to hear after 8 years 😌I miss this game so much❤ thank u for upload this theme
What would you prefer Rockstar to remaster? GTA IV or MC2?
Decisions decisions. Mc2 lol
GTA 4
I think there both fine.....to me.
MC2
the gta iv story really hit me in the feels, so i gotta go with that
i beat the game so many times, it was so fun to play it over and over again
+Zac zac only bad thing was the character wouldn't talk if a race was replayed
Why did this have to be the ONLY Midnight Club game I never got to play??? :(
And now I have bought it on Steam and it is AMAZING! :D
BrickheadTheGreater Did you play the first midnight club? It's amazing!
shadowhunter9000 I have! And I still do play it, a PS2 hard copy as well! :D
BrickheadTheGreater I have a ps2 too :D
And I have mc2, but I don't want to play alone :(
***** Are ps2 servers still up? Probably no.
