There are a few screws on the housing that hold the glass cover in place. Hold the glass while you unscrew them and you can remove it to change the light bulbs.
Salvaged anything I could use for future projects and prepared to discard the old fan. Had it out by the curb it was picked up by someone, I'm assuming for cleanup and reuse.
Yes, when you are under or near the fan, you can feel a nice strong breeze. As you get further away, the breeze is less noticeable. This would mean, I would need longer fan blades or a more powerful fan. For what I need, this works well.
