Imar needs to go back to his freshmen year and be more aggressive and put his brute strength to use, although his technique and strategy is great, he needs to go back to that natural power he has

Idk its tough to say that because you arent him, people change and his style has adapted to college also think about it would you be able to push the pace in 120+ matches of a whole career not saying hes found a easy way out by winning close matches but i mean for myself its not easy to take 10 shots a match and horse guys around unless I'm feeling 100% which is rare
lance hardwood I think that his losses to Nolf and Joseph showed him that his natural talent isn't enough and that he needs to mesh his skill with hard work. In other words, his brute strength is a cop out to solely rely on, and he will lose of he does. He tried to muscle Joseph in the NCAA finals and got pinned.

I know this is irrelevant but watching Imar dominate really makes me realize how much of a beast Kyle Dake is.

Saying Vincenzo is better then imar is the same as saying Myles Martin is better then bo nickel. They both lost because of throws in the finals and both are better than the wrestlers they lost too

wait. you think (and thought last year) myles is / was better than bo? check the meds... we could go back to each season, find a national champ, and nit pick all of their wins. this isnt a team sport, you cant blame other players on the team, and when you get thrown, you can only look at yourself.
winning or losing by a throw offers the same outcome as winning or losing via use of an arm bar. you lose or you win. using this as an excuse is pathetic. first off, he could have scouted Josephs throw and learned how to defend it. he dint do this. this is why wrestling is 90% strategy and technical. you need to be smart to win. and joseph was obviously the smarter wrestler when it mattered most. period. and im nit going to waste my time explaining bo vs myles. the two arent even in the same league.
Myles literally got lucky Imar just wrestled better than Joseph and is a 4x big ten and 2x national champ. He will wipe the floor with Joseph now like he does with nolf

Martinez must be very good since he beat Nolf, but it bothers me that someone could be that dominant at such a technical weight with one offensive move. It's no wonder that Cenzo beat him twice in their two finals. The Penn State wrestler was able to defend against Martinez's primary move, and it made the Illinois man look very meek on offense.

Frustrating. Easier said than done but Cenzo has to get to his offense... before the last 30 seconds of the match. Imar's IQ is off the charts though, he knows what he has to do to win even if his opponent is a better wrestler (which I think Cenzo is and don't @ me). It really sets him apart. I love watching these 2

What we call neutral is ridiculous in wrestling. Martinez puts himself in a north south position to Joseph, placing himself on his back. What? GTFOH. That should be a take down with a back count. I do not like what wrestlers do nowadays to stay neutral.

This most recent win and the fact that Imar is 3-1 against Joseph overall tells me Imar is the favorite and will most likely win, however, last years finals match tells me he has to stay sharp the entire match.

yea he beat him, but he didn't make it look easy at all. matter of fact none of his wins this tournament looked too easy. he does what he has to to win but his points came from riding and a reversal... not like he was out here tossing Cenzo around with ease
