For everyone wondering, this series was aired a few years ago but Munchies uploaded it to TH-cam a few months ago but kept it unlisted which means it doesn't show up on the channel itself. Now they are releasing it episode by episode. I've stumbled across the series on my recommendations 2 months ago.

the newfoundland accents are all kinda like that. they have a very irish twang. hers was a little stronger than some in this video, but I've heard some people from there speak with such a thick accent that I legit cannot understand anything they say
a lot of the irish migrated to newfoundland during the famine in the 1800s and because parts of newfoundland are quite isolated, the accent stuck.

i kinda want to go on a backpacking/camping style moose or more realistically, elk hunt with people who know what they are doing. I don't really hunt, but I think I'd like to experience it at least once. I'm sure that when we first approached the animal after it was safe and definitely dead, I would probably cry... just like, the majesty of an animal like that. it's a powerful thing.

@@us6246 Not that uncommon tbh. My father has been living for over 20 years in Switzerland now and he still has a stronger accent than some strangers who moved in 3 years ago. Some people keep their accent, other quickly adapt.

I've had moose knuckle specifically suburban white genus.. taste pretty good it comes with an all natural marinade slightly sweet with a hint of salt but I find if you go for back alley moose knuckle specifically 4thestreets genus it gives off a fishy aroma and bitter taste

people in the USA have forgotten their connection to hunting, and that commodification of animal meat has driven the value that people associate with the animals that gave the meat to us way down. I know so many people who are very bleeding heart liberal, they all eat meat everyday for every meal, but when i took up hunting and starting talking to them about it, they were all wishy washy about it and some even thought it was wrong. I had to debate them to try and get the point across, if you ever have to kill an animal, you learn to respect their life far more. Its not fun to take a life, even if its fun to hunt. Those moments of deep realization that your responsible for the life you took, make you a more ethical person with the natural world around you.

Love the message here. The reality of death providing life is one that not many get to truly understand up close and personal. Nature lets nothing go to waste. Anything left behind will feed the native wildlife increasing their chances of surviving the winter and contribute back to the earth. Honoring the animal by utilizing everything that one can is a beautiful thing to see beyond that. I'm a little bit curious to the statement that the moose was shot in the head. In my experience its not incredibly common for any hunter or outfitter to chance a lower percentage shot like that when they can shoot high shoulder through the vitals and often dispatch the animal rather quickly without the heightened risk of a miss or wounding shot. Nonetheless, much respect. Great video. That tenderloin looked heavenly!
I always use to only take head shots. Really can only go 3 ways. The 3rd way happening is what made me start taking neck shots. Body shots ruin to much and an animal can run hundreds of yards with a blown out heart. Sometimes its the only shot but I never do it. Always neck if I can

The Newfoundland accent has so many hints of the Irish accent. I thought they were Irish at the start when they arrived at Rang's foster home, great people. great series
Depends on where you are really. Where I grew up, in Newfoundland, people speak with an Irish accent. Forty minutes away, at our summer home, I could never understand what they were saying. Five minutes up the road from that was French sounding people who spoke no French. The whole place is a linguist's wet dream.

It’s a normal Newfoundland accent, Irish, Scottish and English settlers all in one place, isolated for years, and now we all talk like this.
