this helped me alot, spent days farming the red reaper to get one of the blue items, I got one and got the blue mods, I am blade the mods are legacy bond I can buy and send them to my other chars with out needing to do this all again. thought I will need to do the upgrade part ^^; oh well
if you dont want to do ops for the rakata earpiece: u can make op1 catalysts with fp1 catalysts and invasionpoints ( or howerver they are called in english.. the things u buy the noble decurion gear with ) its not really all that effecient, but if u dont wanna do ops and just run fps. it can be quite useful :)

i dont think ive seen this in other mmo games. mods unlock doesnt look like something very obvious. so basically all new players will go the long route. also im curious if crafting has any value apart from consumables and leveling
Yeah it's unnecessarily complicated. Crafting is important for making credits and ofc you can craft augments, which are a must-have. But you can also buy those from GTN if you have the credits.
Since I already had conquest coins before I went to farm red and went ahead and pushed my other noble gear to 340. was that bad? Figured it would help fighting red. I took out augmentations, I hadn't heard them yet. Not sure when or why to use them
Yeah it helps! You only want to augment your endgame gear. I have a guide on augments too in the Intro to PVP Playlist if you want to learn more on that
Good guide except for one issue and I've noticed this in all of the guides that go through opening up Zeke. So the main gearing guide, 7.5, says for DPS builds to get the Advanced Initiative Enhancement 101/99, but it's only obtained if you get the 328 mission and it basically is the same except it has more power less endurance than the 105 version. It's not a deal breaker but it's something people need to know in case they are looking for the best mods. I'm not going to go back and make another 3 gear items set at 328 just to have access to these purple mods. But I did land a 340 blue on my 7th attempt so yay. Now to get the mods all synced up so I have the correct mix of stats. But I also think maybe all I need to do is get another 340 blue drop for any of the gear I have now at 340 and accept the 328 quest.
1. you dont need 328 mission to get higher mission/unlock 2. If you missing something in vendor windows - just choose "all disciplines" 3. This guide was about fastest 340, not best 340. But method in this video - best way which allow you to farm HMs/NIMs for future gear progression/340+ purple drops and the only thing im not agree with - dont even trying to solo farm bosses, because we limited with 5 phase resets per hour and its always better just yolo HS with randoms
hi i never knew bout any of this until today.wot i been doin is is just spamming vet fp and gear has been droppin,once i have enuff fp1 stabilisers i would upgrade each individual piece i have, so now my gear is for each part all 326 expect one item which is 328. it worked like magic for me. flashpoint boss on master was easier than kotet/kotfe chapters on vet with downscaling. done about 5 runs overall with 2-3 on master. didnt even have to wait for reset timer. also pack before boss easy to skip with stealth
Damn...are you sure you accepted the right quest? There was also a bug on the day of 7.6 release that instead of deconstructing the gear, it got destroyed...That has since been fixed but could be the cause of your issue.
*fingers crossed* going to try this. Been playing for a few weeks and honestly, lvl80 gear nightmare system has all but convinced me to quit. Honestly I would rather do x8(classes) fairly easy processes to mediocre gear than this grind fest even once. I already work more than most full time, not trying to log in and start a second job, no wonder they cannot retain people when they get to end game. Thanks for the guide.
Can't I just run Flashpoints then get all the blue gear +1 extra from the vendor and then just keep upgrading it all the way up to 340? Then do the Zeek quest, Augment the 340 blue gear I already have and then just repeat the process but with Operations to get the purple stuff? I feel like this video makes it more complicated than it needs to be, or I'm just not understanding something.
If I’m not mistaken, most dps gear has the same stats, so you could swap it all between your characters that are dps no? I.e I farm gear on a Mara, but I decide one day to play my Op, I can swap gear between them, and there’s no real stat difference between the pieces, right?
Yes, exactly. This is why you get legacy gear, which you can share between all your characters. And then you just swap 2-3 mods depending on if your spec needs accuracy or depending on legendary implants

No you buy legendary implants depending on your spec from the legendary implant vendor and upgrade those to 340 at the same vendor. Relics you use Rakata which you drop from Veteran or Master Mode ops and level up to 344. Until you have those might as well use whatever green or blue stuff you drop from fps
I purchased the conquest commendation earpiece (324). If I’m getting other dropped gear at 324 from fps, I don’t need to buy the conquest stuff since all I care about is earpiece and optionally relics? Am I missing something?
Is there still a difference in playing a 336 pvp relic vs a 344 pve relic in pvp? Because I remember, before we used to play with the 332 pvp relics for pvp?
@@ivano1337 Ah, really? I just checked: If I go onto Rishi stronghold I have the same stats if I equip the 344 pve or the 336 pvp relic. Is there a difference I am not considering?
@@MrNopperz check again. The rakata relic gives 261 Power but the thyrsian should give you 311. That's the base Power on the item, the proc will be the same

I ran RR 1st boss 5 times, then it said I'd reached max phase resets, been about 30min & hasn't reset. Update: found in a discussion thread that apparently it allows 5 hase resets per hour, which seems to check out.
FP gear should work, but you need to upgrade one piece to 340, which is just way faster with conquest. You can combine flashpoint gear with one conquest 340 piece
I got to the step of doing red reaper flashpoint, and I'm not getting any gear drops from the boss in any slot. Does that mean to keep farming until it shows up, or is something wrong?
It should drop you Noble Decurion green gear or Surpreme Decurion Blue Ear/Implants/Relics. So if NOTHING drops you're probably doing something wrong. But I guess you mean you haven't found the 340 earpiece (the only drop you care about) right? Keep farming! It's just luck and can take some hours until you get lucky. I recommend queueing via Group Finder if it gets too boring solo. GL!
Definitely saving this for when I hit 80. I’m 61 or 62 right now, finished my class quest. Have just been doing heroics and hammer station/red reaper to level. Is there a better (faster) way to get to 80?
Yeah if you accept the "336 artifact" quest from Hyde, you will only get enhancements. So now, you need to accept the "336 prototype" quest and deconstruct another item. Can be prototype (blue) or higher quality. So another pvp item will work as well to unlock the rest.
@@CJT_Photography you can't. You can either get a prototype item via PVE like I described in this guide or just play some more pvp until you get an artifact (purple) 336 item. Both can be deconstructed to complete the 336 prototype quest from Hyde. That's because the purple item is of higher quality and the quest says "prototype or higher quality"
@MegaXLOPCHIK haven't fully tested the new augments yet. Will do a video when I have. But in general, augments give their full stats in pvp as well, so very Important stat boost.
77 is the gold augment. That one is not bugged. The 73 is the blue augment and that one is still bugged, giving you less stats than it should. But: still way better than no augments!
more than 100 tries now, im back since 2016 and this is officialy the shttiest gearing method i have ever seen in any mmo game, even if we talk purely about this upgrading system, legit only real dumbass could come up with something like this. This game had so much potential and they manage nothing but to bury that chance
@@ivano1337 That's the way the Crafting Skill works. Unless they changed how that works, deconstructing items requires the Crafting skill. I've been playing the game a long time and it's been that way for as long as I can remember.

The gearing system in swtor turned into a complete clown show , no even starting on how piss easy everything is ....i hope they have not touched hms and nms that much oh boy....

The "Buy moddable legacy gear" step is very unclear, there are tons of items you can buy from that vendor. You are showing gear rating 336 beeing modded, but that vendor sells only very low rating equips. Mission failed.
Hello there & welcome to SWTOR. Here is how it works: You just buy the empty shells from that vendor, one for each gear slot. Which exact items you buy does not matter, the stats come from the mods. Just make sure your class can use it (important for weapons). Then you drop the mods from Hyde & Zeek in and you're done. Hope that helps 😊
Lvl 75 you can get your tactical item which has a big impact. Other than that, yeah there is some twink gear, so that might make an impact. But they just removed the lvl 75 set bonus armors, so not sure what people are using now.

You can also click on the 3 person button and buy the artifact authorization for your entire account.

You need to purchase a full set of 324 gear from the conquest gear vendor. Otherwise the fp might never drop you the 340 earpiece. Hope that helps

Definitely saving this for when I hit 80. I’m 61 or 62 right now, finished my class quest. Have just been doing heroics and hammer station/red reaper to level. Is there a better (faster) way to get to 80?

i deconstructed pvp gear saber 336 rating but it only gave me enhancements, no mods armouring or hilt T_T
Yeah if you accept the "336 artifact" quest from Hyde, you will only get enhancements. So now, you need to accept the "336 prototype" quest and deconstruct another item. Can be prototype (blue) or higher quality. So another pvp item will work as well to unlock the rest.

@@CJT_Photography you can't. You can either get a prototype item via PVE like I described in this guide or just play some more pvp until you get an artifact (purple) 336 item. Both can be deconstructed to complete the 336 prototype quest from Hyde. That's because the purple item is of higher quality and the quest says "prototype or higher quality"
In PvP is it still scaled to item lvl 336 or can you get higher ilvl? And thanks Ivano for all your work

@MegaXLOPCHIK haven't fully tested the new augments yet. Will do a video when I have. But in general, augments give their full stats in pvp as well, so very Important stat boost.

Blues you mean? Yeah, they give a bit less stats than they should

77 is the gold augment. That one is not bugged. The 73 is the blue augment and that one is still bugged, giving you less stats than it should. But: still way better than no augments!

more than 100 tries now, im back since 2016 and this is officialy the shttiest gearing method i have ever seen in any mmo game, even if we talk purely about this upgrading system, legit only real dumbass could come up with something like this. This game had so much potential and they manage nothing but to bury that chance

You mean for making credits? It's not required. You can make credits from selling OEMs, RPMs or Cartel market items on the GTN too

@@ivano1337 That's the way the Crafting Skill works. Unless they changed how that works, deconstructing items requires the Crafting skill. I've been playing the game a long time and it's been that way for as long as I can remember.

idk it depends what you consider "hard". Dps check are fairly easy due to overtuned gear, but afaik they did not nerf ops mechanics.

The "Buy moddable legacy gear" step is very unclear, there are tons of items you can buy from that vendor. You are showing gear rating 336 beeing modded, but that vendor sells only very low rating equips. Mission failed.
Hello there & welcome to SWTOR. Here is how it works: You just buy the empty shells from that vendor, one for each gear slot. Which exact items you buy does not matter, the stats come from the mods. Just make sure your class can use it (important for weapons). Then you drop the mods from Hyde & Zeek in and you're done.

Might help if you think about as “mods make the gear” for modable gear. It will often come with trash mods installed, just replace them.

Can you get good gear when you’re in the low level brackets? I don’t understand how others are getting so much more DPS than me in similar levels
Lvl 75 you can get your tactical item which has a big impact. Other than that, yeah there is some twink gear, so that might make an impact. But they just removed the lvl 75 set bonus armors, so not sure what people are using now.
@ the “twink” items, do you get those through crafted, or by heroic type quests? Or both lol
