Hello Simmers!
Recently I posted a poll in my YT community tab asking you to vote on what I built next in The Sims 4. The results were very close and daily went back and forth between Del Sol Valley Apartments and a corner store with Apartment above. At the time I started building the corner store was ahead.
This cozy store is built on Catscratch Cottage in Brindleton Bay has a 1 bedroom 1 bath apartment above and can be used by the owning sim(s).
If you want to place as a retail w/o owning, it is best to remove the back room door.
Use the door lock feature when owning the store to keep customers out of the back room & apartment.
The produce area is for display only as are some of the debug items. I have already set accessible items on sale and the store can make a decent income each day.
Please use bb.moveobjects right before placing
I use TOOL mod by Twisted Mexi and No CC gallery Art - You do not need to download additional tools to use this build.

The residential space above the market reminds me so much of Oleson's Mercantile from Little House on the Prairie. Some business owners actually did live above their businesses back then, btw, especially in towns that were still growing, like DeSmet in the Little House book Little Town on the Prairie.
I would love to see a behind the scenes on how you make these videos! Do you start with a completed build and slowly take it apart and run the video in reverse? I’m so curious.
I spend a significant amount of my free time watching speed builts (probably watched all of yours at least once each) and I'm yet to find someone with a finer taste in decor than you. Everything falls into place so nicely and fits the rooms without ever being extra or lacking. You are a real talent. Cheers!
I love shop & home combos! with the live-in business mod, its easy to live in the home and run a shop. this looks great.
