Moore Mafia has just dropped a vid where they flash the ECU and the bike had a aftermarket exhaust. They got big hp gains midrange and in the top 2 gears especially. Worth a nosey, they may be in a State close to you? Big country mind you haha
How’s the vibration in the bars and the overall ride comfort? Does the seat cowl remove to find a seat or does the rear seat have to be installed? I have been looking to get a used M109R but most shops don’t like to offer test rides. Even if they see I am a seasoned rider with years of experience. Thx 👌🏻
The vibration in the bars is not bad at all. The overall comfort level is great for long rides. The solo cowl is bolted to the same holes a rear seat would bolt to so you would have to install a rear seat. But most should come with one for that option. Overall this bike is worth buying. I didn't get to test ride this one. I sat on her and knew she was it.
Yes the chip scoop looks great on these bikes. As far as weight goes she handles better than I ever expected. Once you are rolling the weight isn't that noticeable. Even flipping her through twisty roads at higher speeds. I have thought about changing the rear fender and color of the bike. A chin scoop would be a nice touch
@@Islandsoundzz it is the same as most Japanese bikes. The oil change intervals are about in line with others. Cost wise it is definitely like any other. The big pro is the shaft drive which is easy to maintain. No belts to replace or chains to clean.
@@Islandsoundzz can't go wrong with either one. I have owned both. I like the power in the 1800 over the 1300. Better for longer trips plus a gallon more difference is important too. Love the style of both
I have heard the same thing. So far I have not had any issues with mine. I know the older ones have some problems with the transmissions. But I heard they corrected it in 2011 mine is a 2013 model. But it does shift hard at times.

260 for the rear works just fine and it still fits on the OEM rims. I put a 260 on mine when it was time to change.
Yea I figured a 260 would be fine but I wanted to stick with the original sizes if I could.

Any issues with the 2nd gear only ask because I see the m109 forums that these bikes suffer from transmission problems any truth to this

I understand the transmission issues got addressed in 2011.
I bought a '12 brand new and haven't had issues.
