@marderkpz7148 The writers were not fans of the federation/alliance lol. They basically reversed what zeon did in the UC to the alliance. Zeon drops colony, alliance nukes plant. Zaft was arguably far better morally speaking, ofc with a few hiccups with Patrick Zala and giant death beam.

Working on the HG Destroy Gundam currently after watching this again. As devastating as Destroy is, it just needed a better pilot to be an even larger menace.

It’s also not to be compared because they are from complete different universes. The Alvatore is literally a big hunk of junk, who Tf cares if it can fly when it barely moved anyway, and guess what in the end both of them get ended by a single normal mobile suit just as easily so realistically it does not matter. Also destroy looks way better than Alvatore at least it’s a mobile suit and not fuckin mobile armour that just a huge blob that’s mad ugly. If they fought destroy would win cuz the Alvatores shields ain’t stopping the all range peircing attacks the destroy is capable of, and again Alvatore can “fly” but Barely does so, Also the Alvatore has a shitty pilot, it is indisputable that the pilot is the soul of the machine, like freedom wouldn’t be freedom if it wasn’t piloted by Kira Yamato, Exia wouldn’t be Exia if it wasn’t piloted by SETSUNA F seiei, same here shitty pilot also makes Alvatore bad, at least destroys pilot could last more than 1 episode alive, stop trying to argue Alvtore is better just because of flying, there are so many countless mobile suits in the Gundam universe that arnt flight capable but are way stronger than the ones that are, so don’t tell me “oh it can’t fly end of story”
