Adding extra beeswax to plastic foundation will encourage bees to rapidly draw out frames. It's easy to add extra wax to the plastic foundation, and it will jump start your colony growth.
I use a crock pot bag liner on my crock pot before I melt it. And when I’m done waxing frames, I just lift the bag out of the crock pot, it hardens in the bag. Then when I need it again, just put the bag back into the crock pot and reheat it. 👍

Great tip, thanks!🐝
Thanks. I'm getting ready to do this soon. 🐝🐝💕
Very helpful, thanks for posting
Great video!
Thanks for sharing!
I wax the fundations directly with cold wax not melted...just like if it was surf board wax....
Great video, I use the same foam roller.
Good tutorial. Thanks!
Your welcome! Definitely useful to speed up colony growth.
I like the sugar water tip.
Now I’m trying to figure out how to attract bees to my bee keeping box
Are you trying to catch a swarm?
@@mcfallbeeyard2348 Yes I am
Free bees are awesome!
@@mcfallbeeyard2348 I hope I attracted some this year to my bee box
very nice thank you
Are you concerned about contaminating your hive with bouten wax
Do you need to freeze the wax before you melt it?
Wax is already "frozen". Think about it 🤔
