I use a crock pot bag liner on my crock pot before I melt it. And when I’m done waxing frames, I just lift the bag out of the crock pot, it hardens in the bag. Then when I need it again, just put the bag back into the crock pot and reheat it. 👍
Hey thanks for posting! It exactly answered my first question. My second question is related to the re-use of older plastic foundation. I’ve got frames that were used by the bees but the comb structure is damaged and some is filled with pollen how do I handle that issue. Can I clean the frames and re-wax them?
Just out of curiosity, what do nucs sell for in your area? I'm from England and I sell mine in Correx boxes for £150 to bee club members £175 to others which is about $195 and $227 Buying them from a commercial bee yard they are around £200 here and another £45 in a wooden box

Very helpful, thanks for posting
I wax the fundations directly with cold wax not melted...just like if it was surf board wax....
I like the sugar water tip.
Now I’m trying to figure out how to attract bees to my bee keeping box
Are you trying to catch a swarm?
@@mcfallbeeyard2348 Yes I am
Free bees are awesome!
@@mcfallbeeyard2348 I hope I attracted some this year to my bee box
Great video, I use the same foam roller.
Thanks for sharing!
Great video!
Good tutorial. Thanks!
Your welcome! Definitely useful to speed up colony growth.
Are you concerned about contaminating your hive with bouten wax
very nice thank you
Do you need to freeze the wax before you melt it?
Wax is already "frozen". Think about it 🤔
