Awesome video Gus!! I’m a huge competitive Slosher enthusiast myself and this is the best video I’ve seen for newcomers without a doubt! I have a few other tips I think could be good for newcomers as well? 1. The 70 DMG Slosher direct + 30 DMG Splat Bomb indirect can be a really threatening combo, no doubt! However, keep in mind that another player running a single sub of Sub Resistance Up on their gear build will negate this combo, since it deals exactly 100 DMG. This may not be something too important right now, since the current game state lacks ≈100 DMG combos that encourage players to run Sub Resistance Up, but it should still be considered. 2. Splat Bomb rolling is a super important technique for this weapon’s ability to move and trap players, since it explodes the bomb faster. There are plenty of guides on TH-cam for this and I recommend it to anyone who is more inexperienced with the Splat Bomb! 3. vSlosher is a master at super jump camping in applicable situations! A technique I don’t see mentioned in this video is that right before someone lands from a super jump, you can flick a shot right above that jump marker, then Slosh forward immediately after which combos both the shots into each other! This will kill the player before they even have time to react. I recommend practicing it in the training room! Another way to camp a jump is timing a Splat Bomb at the marker so it instantly kills the player the moment that they land. That being said, good luck to anyone trying to pick up this weapon! I’m super excited for the other guides you decide to make as well, Gus! We appreciate you and the work you put into these videos :)

A little tip I've learned for triple ink strike : You can REALLY displace backliners on grates/glass. For ex, on undertow spillway, you know that one place where a lot of chargers hang out, right in the center of the map? If you are on the complete opposite side, and the wall is blocking you view, you can line it on the ceiling to help better your shot! I usually only use this when I can't access the ground, but it can really throw some players off! Great video on slashers, I've been wanting to ramp up my game :D
They also love to hang out at top right (from your view on the opposing team) where that glass is on Undertow... and you can approach there from far right where they can't see you to throw your tri strike
Soul silver is one of my favorite games, and one of my favorite things about making videos is picking the music. I usually try to match a theme. Since Slosher requires you to train & train & train, I decided to put music that exemplified that mentality.

(Very good and deep descring, this was very helpfull and I really enjoyed and felt like I learned a good bit from this video).

Slosher is such a cool weapon! I've been discouraged from using it because of skill and ttek, but I've been using deco instead. I didn't understand when you said Slosher has an ink problem, but from playing deco and not being reliant on sub usage, I found I had more than enough sloshes to fight. Not as bad as Machine though.

Honestly that bit about not using the slosher like a shooter was really helpful for me. Although I'm a casual turf player, I noticed a losing streak and I'm watching guides like this to better understand my weapons.
I've gotten really rusty in the game due to not being able to pay for online since the first splatfest. Still very pissed off about the fact we gotta pay for it.
I used to play Slosher in splatoon 2 and dropped it for other weapons in splatoon 3 But I have been missing playing the slosher so I started picking it up again thanks for a guide!

I would be open to reviewing all the weapons after updates stop happening. I am also planning on doing gameplay with commentary so I can walk you all through my thought process during a match.

It’s likely because of Splatoon 1 when it actually had burst bomb lol It was not top tier at the time, but the combo was insane. Most recently Tri had it in S2, and some hated it. I think people are ok with stamper since it’s a new weapon.

This thing is so uncomfortable to me because it feels like its shots have 0.1 mm width and you need absolute pinpoint aim on every attack or its a waste of ink. Once in a while I try it and just flee back to Tri.
Definitely. This weapon requires more spacing & if you miss, you put yourself in a bad spot. But I do have some gameplay showing how I play it so check it out!
I know run speed wasn't listed as being a viable ability for slosher. However I've tried to stack at around 3 mains just to test and it seems like it actually really really help with mobility, I think maybe more than with swim speed, even tho I know I wasn't a fan of this ability for v-slosher. I'm curious to know what you think, and if you try it, if you can see a major difference or if it is just me
I don’t think run speed on Slosher is helpful. Definitely on sloshing machine, but not Slosher. Remember, since you could cancel poor strafe speed with strafe jumping, you could invest in other abilities that give you more benefit. Swim speed is the better choice imo.
Nice video, looking forward to future parts. The music made it hard to listen to though, maybe something a little easier on the ears, or even splatoon music would be nicer.

Marker is a good sub for it! I just wish it painted just a little bit more

Yeah, a lot of its ink inefficiency is partly due to it having splat bomb and, when you compare it to other slayers.
