I have ridden tons of high end ebikes and trikes and must say the new Bosch system is the smoothest and most natural in feel. Also is much stronger than the wattage rating. Its just a great system that will make most people quite happy. I own a Moustache Tandem with dual Bosch Batteries its really an amazing machine very advanced pedal feel and performance

touring or mountain? I have the touring. Rare bikes, Captain! That system is more than capable to power that beast. So smooth and natural. Sometimes I take the Samedi out alone to enjoy the worlds fastest stopping bike. Never going over those handlebars!

It’s the touring version although the only difference is mudguards, rear rack.

I rode the prototype e-Cat last year at the 2019 Pacific Trike Fest. It was very nice and smooth. The torque sensor helps make you feel like you've got super powers in your legs. It just seamlessly makes the pedaling feel so much easier than it really is. Very good integration by Catrike compared to other e-trikes I test rode at that event.

I agree 100%. I have ridden several E-trikes and bikes. Bosch/Yamaha/Shimano really spin nicely. Bafang is like a wildcat. But to each their own!

I can recommand using a Bosch Performance, more power with the 500Wh battery. Using this setup for almost two years on my bike now giving just more power than the Active line.

Yes don't let Lewis need sharp objects and I am in love with these video's and am also confused because if money was no object I have no idea what way to go trike or quad and way to many gearing idea's now several E-power options OMG so confusing

Doh, I wish I would have seen this earlier. I haven't watched yet. Hopefully it sucks, because i just ordered a Bafang about an hour ago!!!!

I bought an AZUB TRIcon back in 2013, and just put a Bafang 750W mid-drive onto it only about 6 months ago. IT IS AWESOME! I lost the triple crank in front, but the motor more than makes up for it. I can annihilate any hill in my area, and that while packing 190 lbs. of me, 50 lbs. of trailer, and 50 lbs. of loaded panniers. It's set up for 9 nine levels of assist, but never go over level 4. On level 2 of assist I can cruise all day at 12+ mph on flat ground with no stress on my legs at all. I have been 60+ miles on one charge so far with plenty of battery left, but estimate I could easily do 80 miles on one charge with judicial use of the battery. It's a great system. Make sure you make sure the motor is unable to rotate in the bottom bracket. The supplied hardware is inadequate to keep the motor stationary in place, as it is very powerful. Bottom line: you will love it.

We plan on putting it on a Dumont. We anticipate Catrike offering an XL Bosch boom for our taller riders.
