    For more than twice the price of a steam deck I would hope it was better. But the community support and Valve support is unbeatable.

      If you buy it on their website, my god it’s expensive but, other resellers they sell it for cheap I bought one for less than 600 usd around 520 usd.

    Was thinking of getting the new 800p Geek with the 7840u chip, performance should be fantastic

    You brought up a fair comparison and you compared the geek to the right version of the steam deck. I can't believe the Ayaneo Geek exists. One of my favorite devices in the past was the Nvidia shield portable. But to have a full PC that you can play on the go in handheld form is amazing. And unpopular opinion I think the price is really good for what you are buying. I was thinking the other day that when I had my gaming laptops, Ive always had to be plugged in because of the performance hit and the battery would last at best 90 mins. Tech has come far

      The geek smells more like a rubber mouth guard while you're molding it. The Deck just smells like nearly burning plastic

    Red dead redemption 2 works fine on the steam deck. Make sure you turn the uma vram on bios to 1gb as it is the only game that works worse with 4gb uma.

    I love my Aya Neo 2 but at the same time there are probably a lot of people like you who have problems with the Aya Neo 2/Geek! But 80% of the time it is also an SSD problem because Aya uses very bad and cheap SSDs! Everything was fine with my Aya Neo 2, but I didn't want to wait until I had a problem with the SSD. So I bought a Samsung Evo 970 Plus 2TB, cloned the old 512GB Aya SSD and installed the 2TB Samsung. Everything works as it should, I have 3 times more storage space and I don't have to worry about getting SSD problems! I would recommend everyone to replace the SSD because it is only a matter of time before problems arise! The installation is not easy, but with a little time and patience you should be able to do it!

    The Steam Deck is the best price to performance of any PC handled. The Steam Deck is King.

    Hell you can get a base Steam Deck for 359 dollars cause it’s on sale essentially the same price of a Switch OLED the price to performance alone can’t be beat it simply can’t be beat no matter how much better the performance is

    A "steam deck pro" without two trackpads, without 4 back buttons, no adjustable refresh rate, no dedicated OS, no Optimized UI and much more expensive.

    • @TheTerk
      @TheTerk  ปีที่แล้ว

      I rarely use the track pads, particularly the left one. I also find them difficult to use. As for the back buttons, I rarely use those as most games by default already have decent controller support. Refresh rate can be adjusted just like many other windows handhelds. Dedicated os isn't needed since I like playing destiny 2 and other unsupported games on my device. I can use an optimized ui, it's called steams big picture mode with -gamepadui. As for price, I covered that in the video, $400 deck is hard to beat, unless you have to have attached nvme storage

    I can say personally that the stick positioning on this device would kill my hands. The steam deck sticks are positioned perfectly.

    I think should be a test, if drop both handheld and try to RMA it and see what company did there best job with out knowing who RMA with a big following. Things happen can if it slip out your hands.

    A lot of these computer handhelds are amazing, as I like a lot of the features they offer, but the price is just way over what I would be willing to pay for one. Ayaneo announces new system before the last batch even ships, and they do that every couple of months. I would never buy one, as there is a new and better value just around the corner, so why ever commit to one? I also can't see these devices getting much long term support, as why bother, as most of these devices have small windows for being offered, before their promoting the next big thing.

      Just like I asked before with no answer, what support does it need? Please elaborate

    • @AndrewDaniele87
      @AndrewDaniele87 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Walter Reed hardware issues happen, sometimes they get shipped with the device, you want to make sure there is a way of getting the device replaced or fixed within a good amount of time since you purchased it, also you want to ensure that it can be done quickly with limited time without the device

  • @rometherevenant8749

    Its a nice device but nah. A steam deck pro, is a steam deck officially made by valve and thats the end of it. Plenty of non deck options for consumers out there and thats great, but lets stop this "steam deck killer" nonsense and let products be their own thing. I own a ayaneo air pro and i love that handheld for what it is and purchased it for having a lightweight windows handheld with an oled screen and if I want to play on the deck I just use my wifes steam deck and swap with her for my ayaneo.

    • @TheTerk
      @TheTerk  ปีที่แล้ว

      I never said this was a steam deck killer. The steam deck at $400 is by far the best value. However, the upgrades the Geek provides are what the steam deck pro should look like

    • @rometherevenant8749
      @rometherevenant8749 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheTerk i never said you said specifically that you called it a "steam deck killer." Im referring to other youtubers calling other pc handhelds "steam deck killers" but im saying that a steam deck "pro" should come directly from Valve themselves rather then saying another company does a steam deck better. My point is a steam deck is its own beast and other companies making their own handhelds are special in their own way. Thats all I was saying

    Valve already say that SD will no support OLED screen anyway they could be lying… But 😊

    • @PocketPixelPortablePower
      @PocketPixelPortablePower ปีที่แล้ว

      They ain’t lying. The screen would need to have the same specialized connector pin, be compatible with the display adapter and have the same voltage draw.
      Not only that, the screen is the hardest aspect of the device to replace

    Here we go another review with ALL the important information left out and ONLY the infomercial to get you to buy it. 🙄😤😤....dude Aya Space is totally broken why mention all those features and most of them don't work...faulty devices been going out and it's these commercials that make people waste money and get you guys sponsored not caring if people are wasting hard earned money

      Maybe check out my aokzoe a1 review. I push hard on the quality of that device and the business practices of that company. In my experience with this unit, I have had 0 issues. I briefly covered the software because my community specifically asked for it. And I focused primarily on performance and product comparisons for that same reason.
      As for allegations of poorly managed QC, I'll have to look into it. I did not encounter it on my device
