About Master Minds
Master Minds is hosted by Brooke Burns, Emmy®-nominated host of Game Show Network’s trivia show, “The Chase.” She is joined by several Master Minds, including Ken Jennings, Jeopardy! G.O.A.T./Trivia Legend. In Master Minds, three contestants square off against three trivia Master Minds in multiple rounds of intense trivia competition. The lowest scoring player on each side is eliminated until the top competitor and top Master Mind are left standing and now must face off, head-to-head, in the Ultimate Trivia Challenge. If the contestant can get more questions correct than the Master Mind, they will win $10,000 and come back to challenge the Master Minds again. If they win three games in a row, they join the ranks of the Master Minds and appear in one or more future episodes.

Noah Foster If Alex Trebek ever has to retire from Jeopardy which hopefully he won’t, I’d love to see Brooke Burns as the new Jeopardy house. I think she would be fantastic for it. Besides being gorgeous she’s also super smart and dynamic and would do a great job.

James Holzhauer has to be pissed off. Not only did Ken take him out in the Jeopardy GOAT tournament, but now Ken's being idolized all over Game Show Network.
This actually isn't his first time working with the channel.
I doubt James is "pissed off." Ken is truly awesome, and so is James, obviously, but the odds really worked against James in the Jeopardy GOAT tournament in a way that left me unsure which of them is really the best, head to head. The third competitor, Brad Rutter, is also certainly very good, but he was far outmatched by the two savants, James and Ken. As it happened, entirely by chance, James had many fewer opportunities at the double jeopardy questions than his correct answers would have suggested, while Brad had a share of double jeopardy opportunities that was disproportionately high. It was the luck of the choice as they were all trying to find the DJ questions, and James was truly unlucky in not finding them despite having answered so many more questions correctly. Those are the breaks, and that's just the way it goes. I just don't think it's clear that Ken would beat James in a pure head to head challenge, but it is clear that both of them are truly extraordinary. None of this is a knock on Rutter, because he deserved to be in that tournament. And it's too bad there won't be another match like that one; I could have watched it extend much further - those three guys are all awesome, and given Alex Trebek's health challenges, I'm very, very happy he was the one hosting the GOAT challenge.
@@k.g.r.2682 You seriously need to do some Jeopardy homework. In the GOAT tournament Ken got 93% of his answers correct, James got 92%. In Ken's three wins he won by a total of 88,000. In James' one win it was by 25,000. That means Ken outscored him by 63,000 points. And if you take away all the lucky Daily Doubles that could go to any random person, Ken's Coryat score for the entire tournament was 146,000, James' was 141,800. Ken beat James 5 out of 8 games and 3 out of 4 matches. The best player clearly won this tournament.
KGR - I wouldn't say Ken is head and shoulders better than James, but pound for pound he is the greatest Jeopardy player of all time.
Remember Ken has an IQ of 175 and James is only around 140. One is a super genius and the other is very gifted. If these two ever went head to head on another game show, you would see James answering questions the second they're out of the questioner's mouth, and then watch Ken answer questions before they're even out of the questioner's mouth. His mind works in different ways.

I watch Master Minds every night and over the weekend, but not in the afternoon on weekdays due to Jeopardy!

Answer: Red algae. I know this because I was moving back from the in laws and Trevor was fixing our garage door. Now there is a yard next to the entrance by the macademia paving where I happened to place our newly bought fish tank. Next day...no it wasn't the Ash Wednesay, but the Wednesday before it..yeah yea 13th...we completely forgot about that we placed it there...and Trevor slipped and had to get a hip replacement.

I was just telling my awesome dynamic brilliant 99-year-old aunt Tillie in Miami who has been a lifelong Jeopardy fan about Master Minds - but then we discovered that Atlantic Broadband, her cheap cable network there, does not carry GSN! :( I get genius in on my DIRECTV cable here in Oakland California but Atlantic broadband told me that they only get game show network in some states but not Florida. So the only thing I can do is show her this full episode I just found on your YT. Thanks for that! Please let me know if you’re going to post any other full episodes so that I can share them with Aunt Tillie! @gameshownetwork

I think they’re just having a hard time finding people as menacing as Labett was first of all, and then second of all, it was such a big undertaking of a production. Idk. They’d probably have to cancel 2 of the other new originals to get the budget for a new chase. I really wish they’d get a new chase too but I understand why it hasn’t happened yet.

The concept of The Chase is owned by a British production company, so it is fairly expensive to produce.

It really surprised me GSN kept the show and retooled it so extremely instead of just cancelling it. New set, new host, retooled gameplay. It seemed like more work than you think they’d want to sink into a show that really wasn’t working. Brooke is leaps and bounds better than Sherri was, so I think that really does turn things around. It would be really nice to see someone actually win a spot as a MasterMind. They’re 1.5 seasons in and no one’s won that grand prize yet

Gigantic chess guy was wrong about the calendar question. The months that were added were July (for Julius Caesar) and August (for Augustus Caesar). January was always the first month of the calendar named for the god Janus, who had two faces - one facing forward and one facing backward, since January is the month to look back on last year and forward to the next year.

The Beast was great on the Chase. But in this game he hasn't even won once
Arianna Haut hasn't won a third season episode.
So apparently, this is the "Best Ever Trivia Show" with a few gameplay twists, a better name change, and also a better female host. Sherri wasn't too bad, but I love Brooke even more.
Brooke has previous experience from another show she did on GSN, an American version of "The Chase".

First off, I wouldn't call game shows "idiotic", since that's like putting down people's love for knowledge as well as trivia, and I also wouldn't even think of Brooke herself aging, since no matter what she looks like today, she can still host a game show since taking a break (when she hosted "The Chase") with her family- in which she is a pro at doing.
@@bluebear1985 She can read questions fast, I'll tell you that. She and Mark Labbatt had great chemistry. Although I would've wanted to see how she would've fared with Anne Hegerty- if she was ever on that version, of course. But who knows?

I loved Brooke Burns as the host on the original GSN run of The Chase. For the reboot on ABC, I wish they would have brought her back as the host and added Mark Labbett as a Chaser in addition to Ken, Brad and James.

Congratulations on the new show! That was very pleasant to watch. I have a few ideas that I think would ramp up the decision-making and intrigue:
- round 2: no buzzers, everyone gets to write an answer, but you can write down "PASS" to avoid -200 penalty for a wrong answer.
- final round: after Master Mind gives answer, reveal champion's answer immediately, then the correct answer, then score. The suspense comes question by question like it did with Best Ever Trivia Show. Contestant could also get choice of going first or second.

FYI: Mattea is not in charge of Jeopardy... Mattea & Amy played with Ken hosting, so that is their opinion. Other Super Champs: Eric, Ryan and Matt played with Mayim and expressed THEIR preference. Either way, Jeopardy is in good hands. (Kind of funny that the prominent male super champs played with Mayim hosting and the prominent female super champs played with Ken hosting.)

I think Jeopardy! still penalizes for misspoken answering, not misspelling during the final round.
