Agate Dad, your view cube seems to always be floating away on you.. you should look into a coiled or retractable lanyard.. hands free and won't get too far away from you! Big fan, Love the videos!
I bought a 110v 6" Hi tech lap saw and it will arrive hopefully by the time this video premiers. I'm excited to cut into the 5 pounds of malawi agate nodules.
I like to put oil on my finds from Lake Michigan. Nothing wrong with that. I like to hand-sand some of my favorites. Good therapy for my arthritic hands. Been a rock hound all my 74 years!
I like to use 3000 grit foam sanding pad to wet sand rocks. It buffs out the little tiny scratches, without really changing the shape of anything, or it works as a great last step.
You're awesome...I'm from Louisiana and your accent and how excited u get about agates and minerals is crazy refreshing. Thanks for your efforts...Sha (cher)!
I would have had a whole celebration hissy fit 🎉🎉🎉 right there on the beach after finding that banger of an agate!!! That agate is so beautiful. It would be in the house! 😊❤ lol
That find at 1min.32 seconds in the video is one of the prettiest of that type that I've seen you find. God is such a magnificent artist! 🙏 So much to delight his kids (us!). I just L_U_V watching this. Thanks for posting!.🤩🤩
That's really an amazing agate. My first thought when I saw it was, "holy cow, that thing has been rolling around a LOOOOOOONG time!" It's almost gone! 😂 Aside from the beautiful rock, I think you make the most joyful videos that I watch.I'm glad you're so expressive with your enthusiasm, it brightens my day.
To me all had a unique beauty. Including the ones you said are stinkers. The finale agate is the best by far. Don't catch pneumonia out in the freezing air and water. Oh and the ice formations on the rocks by the water breath taking.
Watching you shamble through the water in all that gear makes me think of you as a giant, agate hunting kaiju. They’re running for cover and you’re like “GRAAWWRRR!! GET SCOOPED!”
I have been collecting rocks and crystals since I was young and when I found your channel I was able to identify some and I am even more excited about rocks. You're an amazing person for this community.
That small agate is beautiful…glad you’re leaving it intact. Watching you cut rocks is a wonderful change from watching the fire disasters taking place where I come from.
Thanks Agate Dad, I’m now the proud and excited owner of a 10” H-Tech saw, unfortunately it’s 9:00 and 9* outside, I guess it’s going to be awhile before I can use it, happy viewer, thanks, love your channel
Oh my. That agate your poor little frozen paws found near the end is stunning!!! So gorgeous. And thank you for the ice crystal pics - also stunning view!
I am watching for the first time...your excitement over that agate was beautiful....I was just as excited watching it through the screen. Then you said, I am grateful, and I actually got a tear in my eye. I get so excited like your self and always try to remember to say thankQ for my finds. Btw...your poem got me! *SUBSCRIBED
Pauses video immediately at1:08: "boy go get a rope for the floating box already!" lol been enjoying seeing the rock hunts again lately - keep warm out there! 😊
The inside of the broken porphry is really interesting. Could you see intact crystals? And a beautiful little agate! The lake was even nice enough to pre-polish it for you!
You should get one of those retractable dog leashes and hook it to your waist and tether your viewing box to it, so it doesn't keep floating away. It's so nice to see you out collecting. We so enjoy your videos Taylor!
Wow!!!It looks like you had a good hunt. It would be cool if you could put a hinge on the ones that you cut. I do not know the proper way to display a cut rock. Thanks for the video.
True dedication to be out in water on cold, cold days ! Or crazy 😂 LOL Just teasing, love your videos & enthusiasm for something you obviously love. And you got the big payoff with that beauty at 8:45...SAWWEEETTT
Oh that must be cold..i lived on lake erie for a while and people used to walk on it when it froze..thought they were nuts..love watching you collect..beautiful stones!
So I have to tell you, I haven’t been watching because I watched All of your videos and I Love to binge watch!!!! So I’m back!!! I will be catching up tonight! Thanks for an Awesome Video!!! ♥️🪬🧿♥️🪨♥️🧿🪬♥️
I had a blast watching you out there. I'm planning my first trip ever to Lake Superior this year. I'll be camping in the provincial park right on the shore. I'm hoping to find some treasures. The agate you found... wow.
I have been collecting and polishing porphyry here in Idaho for some time now it is my current favorite those are really cool! Great collecting that final agate is a keeper for sure!
Have you thought about hooking a bungee cord to your view tube and your belt loop so you don’t have to chase after it? I keep yelling at my screen when I see it floating away. 🙂 I’m glad you had such good luck today. I love watching you cut them open too! ❤
I have an idea for you to consider: led strip lights along the edge of your box. They'd have to be on the inside, but would light up the lake floor and might show you a bit more detail -- and would be great if you go back at night! You could also add some UV (black) light options - I don't know if that buys you anything in that part of the world, but I know there are some agates that glow under UV. One more: get some paracord (or similar) and tie that box to your belt so it doesn't really float away :D. I'm enjoying your videos -- keep up the good work!
When your looking glass box fogs like that allot it helps to keep a tiny amount of water inside it to slosh around periodically to clear your field of view. You quickly learn how much is just right and the miniscule angle to use when looking through it so the water doesnt get in your way. 😊
You should tie your view finder cube to your belt loop or something so that you don't have to chase it so much. Just a suggestion to make things easier for you🤗🙏🏻🤠
Ice, freezing water, wind and waves No thank you! It was great you took us along on your adventure and the last agate was meant to be😊 see you next time. Cut, cut, cut!🤪
You need to get nylon rope with those buckles you can clip on, connected to both ends and hook one to the bucket and one to your pants. That way you wont have to worry about it getting away! Also I love that you took us from start to finish.
Watch until the end to see the mineral oil soak of that perfect agate!
You should tumble the smaller pieces! I love your videos!
Tumble it! It will be gorgeous! Great find.
That agate is so pretty, it almost looks like a marble
Agate Dad, your view cube seems to always be floating away on you.. you should look into a coiled or retractable lanyard.. hands free and won't get too far away from you! Big fan, Love the videos!
I Love your enthusiasm with agate's 😊
It is very good to see rock hunters who, after so many years, continue to marvel at a tiny banded agate as if it were the first day.
Just a suggestion. Maybe attach a bungee cord to your bin and belt so you don’t have to chase your bin. Amazing how you find these rocks. Beautiful!
great suggestion
Or even just some paracord.
i just use a dog leash
He's mentioned in other videos why he doesn't. Safety reasons not to go down if it does and water takes him with it
I bought a 110v 6" Hi tech lap saw and it will arrive hopefully by the time this video premiers. I'm excited to cut into the 5 pounds of malawi agate nodules.
Hope you enjoy it!
Good for you. I hope you have a great time.
I’m jealous! Have fun!!!
Sounds awesome!! Once my husband gets his shop built and I can get the garage back i will have room for a saw and tumblers!
I am not into rocks at all, however I love your videos and share your excitement with every cut reveal.
That’s awesome!
That agate is tiny but mighty! Such a gorgeous little specimen and thanks to the lake for making it so smooth 😍
The porphyry rocks remind me of Picasso artwork! They are all so cool 😎. Good job Taylor ☺️
That agate is incredible ❤
You're awesome...I'm from Louisiana and your accent and how excited u get about agates and minerals is crazy refreshing. Thanks for your efforts...Sha (cher)!

Anyone else about to clock out and go rock hunting?
Do it lol
It's a cold and snowy day here in Idaho, but I'd be going if I could!
My hands are freezing just watching. I'll wait a couple months

Yeah kind of!
That little rounded agate is really nice! It sure spent some time in nature's tumbler. Nice porphyry too.
It's always an adventure, seeing what's on the inside of these, and so often a surprise! You make it fun and interesting. 🙂
Really liked the special one you found last. Way to beautiful to cut
Congratulations on that premium agate ❤absolutely stunning.

Enjoyed your video very much! I collected rocks in Canada for years. I have them shellac so they still look wet! Beautiful!

Nice finds especially that last one!
What a great find! Congrats!
Have you thought about hooking a bungee cord to your view tube and your belt loop so you don’t have to chase after it? I keep yelling at my screen when I see it floating away. 🙂
I’m glad you had such good luck today. I love watching you cut them open too! ❤
You should clip your view cube to one of your belt loops with a string or bungee or something. But then you would miss the thrill of chasing it down.
As i watch this its 38 degrees here in Florida, man I really miss the great lakes. Will return some day
I have an idea for you to consider: led strip lights along the edge of your box. 9:15 lovely “planet Jupiter” agate. Wow❤
What great finds!!

The lake literally gave you a present 🎁 cool piece
Oh my. Lake Superior is cold in the summer…I can’t imagine what it’s like in the winter 🥶
The rocks are super cool though.
Very nice finds and cutting.
Thank you for explaining what Porphry is. I had seen it before but thought it was petrified splintered wood. 🤣
😂
You should tie your view finder cube to your belt loop or something so that you don't have to chase it so much. Just a suggestion to make things easier for you🤗🙏🏻🤠
Get to cutting ! Love It😂
Ice, freezing water, wind and waves
No thank you!
It was great you took us along on your adventure and the last agate was meant to be😊 see you next time. Cut, cut, cut!🤪
8:40 what an amazing find!!!!
New viewer, this was fun! Can't wait til my trip to the UP! I know what to look for thanks to you! Hi from Algonac MI!
Nice rocks even the not so pretty ones
The last agate is perfect. Maybe put it in a tumbler with just the polishing grit.
You need to get nylon rope with those buckles you can clip on, connected to both ends and hook one to the bucket and one to your pants. That way you wont have to worry about it getting away! Also I love that you took us from start to finish.
Tie your bucket too you so the darned thing stops gloating away from you! Looks soooo cold. Enjoy your videos immensely.
The porphyry is my favorite!
