Wow! I remember watching when you first started IVIG I can’t believe it’s been a year! So glad it’s getting easier on and better for you! Hope your trip is going better!
Cute jammies, Jacquie! Also, wanted to say: I know everyone is different, but thought I would share with you that my daughter had cvid. She had IVIG therapy for nine years. By the time she was 18, her immune system had recovered so much that she was able to stop the therapy completely. This was great because she was at college and having to do sub-cutaneous treatment by herself, and she found it scary and difficult. I hope this therapy helps you tremendously too.
I love these pjs, I got them for $7! 🙌 And that is amazing to hear! I haven't heard of anyone being able to come off for CVID but that makes me hopeful. (:
Chronically Jaquie I hope you are equally fortunate. IVIG Therapy is truly amazing. My daughter is 21 now and almost never gets sick anymore, even though she is still in college and surrounded by other people all the time. I believe it could help many people with chronic illnesses! Currently, though, it’s extremely expensive, as you probably know. I would be happy to talk to you more about this if you want to PM me.
Ok can i just say say your smile in the thumbnail is the cutest and it made me smile so much! I’m so happy you’re able to do IVIG independently! You’re amazing, and you always make my day brighter. All my love!
Every time I donate plasma I think you you and hope that this treatment helps you and makes your quality of life better! I love your videos and you are so strong and dedicated to both your own health and self care and to making videos and updating us. You are truly amazing ❤️
Yay Jaquie!!! I can hardly believe it's been a year already! And I'm so proud of you that you stuck with it through that really rough beginning! Look how far you've come! Doing your first solo IVIG treatment! Absolutely awesome!!!
I am starting IVIG next week and I am nervous but hopeful. Thank you for this, I pray I can tolerate the side effects. This is the last type of treatment available for my issues and you explained it and showed it simply. 😊💕
Best of luck to you! Finding the ideal rate and pre meds was key for me. Also I couldn't do a higher dose every 3 weeks like the typical protocol. So that is why I do a smaller dose every 2 weeks. (:
Sarahviolet T.L.C.4U I am on day 3 of my first loading dose! The first day was rough but I knew to ask for a slower rate from watching Jaquie’s videos. Good luck next week!!! Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!
CONGRATS JAQUIE! No problem having Danielle there when you get back. You needed this positive though to make the trip a good memory with a small hiccup❤️
The cap on your vial reminds me of my insulin vials! It's really satisfying to pop the lid off, but they can be difficult to pop off when your hands aren't cooperating!
Great job! I'm so glad IVIG is going so well after such a rocky start. Today your bravery inspired me to tackle getting two giant spiders out of my apartment's lobby before someone killed them.
It’s great it’s been working for you! I am shocked they still wanted you to run IVIG alone given the severity of a MCAS reaction such a short time ago. Yikes! Glad all is well for you and you are looking so much healthier these days!! Great job!! I ended up trying a Vibedration backpack and it sorely lacked as a medical backpack. I was quite disappointed. Now, to put it in context: I use a feeding tube (24/&) and I receive IV saline (8 hrs) at the same time. Even with my feeds only having 250 mls and my saline 500 mls (I do a liter but split into 2- 500 ml bags), the Vibedration was too small to accommodate both pumps and bags. Plus, I have emergency meds to carry as well. The outer pockets just weren’t large enough to handle my basic must-have meds/supplies. So if you are looking at this style of bag, you need to consider what you need to carry each day. I am happy to have found a backpack pattern that makes the perfect medical backpack for me! And I can just make more when I want a new fabric or look to it.
You Go Girl! You're simply amazing. So happy you're seeing results and that you were able to overcome all the initial difficulties you had with IVIG. 😁🐱👍💕
Dear Jaquie, hope you are having a good time with amily and friends besides the IVIG treatment and other medical issues! Being on vacation and doing treatments on your own is great! As I am going on a bustour to Scotland on Sunday I have to take my medication and infusions with me and do it, possibly on the bus also, but sure it will be manageable somehow. I know the driver, I know some of the other passengers as well and most of them are very helpful. Also my lovely husband is with me and he knows what to do if there are problems. But I hope we are going to have a good time watching old Scotland for 9 days! Have a great day, sincerely Britta ( from Germany)
So excited for you Jaquie! Can’t believe it’s been a year since you started IVIG! Sending my love to you and your family! Also, would you know how one would go about donating blood plasma for IVIG?
Thank you for these clips, it makes me look at my health problems in a different light as mine are only small compared with how you’re coping with everything, big pat on your back for teaching me how to make the best of each day.
I think its been about 6 months since i last saw one of your videos and i have to say you look and sound 1,000 times better! I hope this is true and that you have gotten some stability!
Cute outfit!! You are stylish and comfy 😇 Would you be able to do a video on how you store your medications/ supplies while on vacation/trips? Your other travel videos really helped me with organization, I didn't know if you did anything different for your road trip? ❤
Glad to see you are still on the upswing after the allergy issue the other day! You are awesome, I love watching medical things so watching you prep meds for infusions is actually very interesting to me. I feel that if you were to choose these things I am sure you would probably not wish to have to have infusions, but they are cool to watch being done (at least to me). Thank you for sharing!
Hi Jaquie! I've been watching your videos for about 18months now. You're videos have helped me get answers to health problems I've suffered with for years! My cardiologist believes I have POTS and I go for my first Tilt Table Test next month to either confirm or rule out POTS - he's pretty certain though - I'm super nervous about it and it got me thinking, what was your first TTT experience like?
I am so humbled to know I have been able to help you in some way! As for the TTT, check out my Dysautonomia video because I talk about it more there. Long story short, it did not hurt but I almost passed out and felt pretty unwell for a while afterwards. It got me a conclusive diagnosis though.
Thank you for replying! :) My cardiologist said he's 99% sure I will fully pass out, I've been very symptomatic lately and almost passed out 4 times today alone, my vision completely went but I wasn't unconscious, I could still hear and stand but needed to hold onto the bench or bed to stabilise - I hope that makes sense, not fun at all.
I just bought those pajamas two weeks ago and I think they are so cute😁 you are so educated on your health needs and I think we all should strive to learn as much as we can about our health issues to care for ourselves😊have a great week
Hi Jaquie! First of all, Congratulations on being able to take that step and being able to give this medicine to yourself! I think that's a big step. I was wondering if you have any advice for someone who wants to be a dog person but is afraid of them. Watching you and Harlow work is so magical and I would love to have that kind of relationship with my family dog.
Hi Jaquie! I hope these questions don't sound silly, but here I go. When you do IVIG, must you remain in your home or can you go about your day like if it where regular fluids? I know you stated you can't run your fluids at the same time as your IVIG, but what about your nutrition or does it not matter because it's going thru your stoma and not your port? Thanks for sharing your independent IVIG adventure!😊
Yes that button has caused many finger cramps lol! And I think in the video I explained that I have two different pumps. They look the same but IVIG pump has pre-programmed settings.
Chronically Jaquie Oh yeah but I remembered you saying that in a different video. Lol. So do you put both the kurlin pumps in your vibedration pack? I use the 3L backpack. It carry’s so much and I put it on the back of my wheelchair.
So when you finish the third bottle, after you disconnect the spike/tubing, is there a way to flush the last bit of the ivig that is still in the tubing?
I'm curious why/how you're able to do it on your own? I've been doing it almost 2 years at home with a nurse and have been told patients aren't allowed to do it themselves. I do my own plain saline so it makes no sense. It's frustrating trying to schedule the nurse to come at a convenient time and if I could do it myself it would solve so many issues.
My doctor had to write a script saying they wanted me to learn, and I had to be taught by my visiting nurse. I know every doctor and HHC is different though!
Oh man, my mom does this for leukemia and it is so so expensive. I wish it was easier to get a hold of because some people would die without it. Never heard of it for this but I hope it really helps you a lot!! :)
I am suffering from poor gasritic emptiying (severe gastroperasis) there is no facilities to get treatment for my disease in my country. Very difficult to live with my gastroperasis, my life is going to hell
I am very disheartened to hear that :( I wish that treatment was more accessible and hope that spreading awareness will make this a possibility one day. Stay strong, sending you many good thoughts.
I love you 3 so much! Please ask where they got that amazingly funky comforter!!! Xoxo It will make my week if you answer and I'll post a pic of my new comforter asap with two kitties on top! I pray for you and mary (fry) daily! My only TH-cam addictions. I'm am Rt in Charleston, SC! Kiss Hippo for me! Xoxo
Can I choose my genetic mutations? My mito is basically the root cause for most of my problems so I think that "fixing" that would solve a lot of issues!

It’s really neat to see you do your thing. Ive had a patient who had this before while i was in school and doing hospital clinical.
Jackie so proud of you for doing it yourself first time. Your looking better.
Great job! I'm so glad IVIG is going so well after such a rocky start. Today your bravery inspired me to tackle getting two giant spiders out of my apartment's lobby before someone killed them.
Lol kudos for helping the spiders! I know they help with pesky bugs and such but I'm not a fan of any creepy crawlies 😅
I am so happy for you that your benefiting from it now. I remember when you started, so glad it is easier now

I hope you remember to remind yourself often of what a brave woman you are!
Wow!! You are doing so well and praying and wishing you many blessings & good health.
Good job. These medical terms do help, I wish to be a doctor (preferably surgeon) and this makes it easier to understand the terms for later in life
I knew you could do it! You’re an amazing young lady, Jaquie xxxxxx
I'm so glad IVIG is going well for you Jaquie
I hope your having a lovely holiday 🌞 xxxx
Jackie! We were visiting family in North Carolina at the same time! So exciting lol.

Omg I know how you feel that prime button is so difficult. How can you use the same infusion pump for both you’re regular infusion and IVIG ?
Yes that button has caused many finger cramps lol! And I think in the video I explained that I have two different pumps. They look the same but IVIG pump has pre-programmed settings.

No, I can only run IVIG or fluids. Not both at the same time.

Oh I’m sorry I thought that’s what you meant In the video.
So when you finish the third bottle, after you disconnect the spike/tubing, is there a way to flush the last bit of the ivig that is still in the tubing?
Cute Flamingo pjs. I hope you feel relief soon!
What about the air in the bottle? Does that get sucked out during priming?
Also how's Harlow I miss seeing her!
I'm curious why/how you're able to do it on your own? I've been doing it almost 2 years at home with a nurse and have been told patients aren't allowed to do it themselves. Chronically Jaquie ok thanks friend, god bless you. I will come to your country if i have funds to get treatment. Please Don't forget to pray for me
I tried donating plasma and had a allergic reaction to the calcium citrate

Be careful. I was just at the IDF conference for PI and the doctors always say to have a nurse there as you never know when you can have a major reaction. I have been doing it for over 10 years and told I should Still have a nurse for ivig. Subcutaneous can be done without a nurse.
Must be quite exhausting! Well done to you!,
If you don’t want to answer I totally understand but I was just wondering how Janeice is doing?
So proud of you!
Great job!! You're so amazing
Great job, Jaquie!!! So great that you can run the infusion on your own confidently and if problems arise your nurse is just a phone call away!!

Does your port needle or your feeding tube hurt?
Not at all! I do not even notice my port anymore and my tube only hurts if I have a problem with it (infection, granulation tissue, etc). If I sleep on one weird, hit or snag them it might be sore for a bit, but that is it.
I love your vide
