    Cute jammies, Jacquie! Also, wanted to say: I know everyone is different, but thought I would share with you that my daughter had cvid. She had IVIG therapy for nine years. By the time she was 18, her immune system had recovered so much that she was able to stop the therapy completely. This was great because she was at college and having to do sub-cutaneous treatment by herself, and she found it scary and difficult. I hope this therapy helps you tremendously too.

      I love these pjs, I got them for $7! 🙌 And that is amazing to hear! I haven't heard of anyone being able to come off for CVID but that makes me hopeful. (:

      Chronically Jaquie I hope you are equally fortunate. IVIG Therapy is truly amazing. My daughter is 21 now and almost never gets sick anymore, even though she is still in college and surrounded by other people all the time. I believe it could help many people with chronic illnesses! Currently, though, it’s extremely expensive, as you probably know. I would be happy to talk to you more about this if you want to PM me.

    I am starting IVIG next week and I am nervous but hopeful. Thank you for this, I pray I can tolerate the side effects. This is the last type of treatment available for my issues and you explained it and showed it simply. 😊💕

      Best of luck to you! Finding the ideal rate and pre meds was key for me. Also I couldn't do a higher dose every 3 weeks like the typical protocol. So that is why I do a smaller dose every 2 weeks. (:

      Sarahviolet T.L.C.4U I am on day 3 of my first loading dose! The first day was rough but I knew to ask for a slower rate from watching Jaquie’s videos. Good luck next week!!! Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!

    It’s great it’s been working for you! I am shocked they still wanted you to run IVIG alone given the severity of a MCAS reaction such a short time ago. Yikes! Glad all is well for you and you are looking so much healthier these days!! Great job!! I ended up trying a Vibedration backpack and it sorely lacked as a medical backpack. I was quite disappointed. Now, to put it in context: I use a feeding tube (24/&) and I receive IV saline (8 hrs) at the same time. Even with my feeds only having 250 mls and my saline 500 mls (I do a liter but split into 2- 500 ml bags), the Vibedration was too small to accommodate both pumps and bags. Plus, I have emergency meds to carry as well. The outer pockets just weren’t large enough to handle my basic must-have meds/supplies. So if you are looking at this style of bag, you need to consider what you need to carry each day. I am happy to have found a backpack pattern that makes the perfect medical backpack for me! And I can just make more when I want a new fabric or look to it.

    Dear Jaquie, hope you are having a good time with amily and friends besides the IVIG treatment and other medical issues!
    Being on vacation and doing treatments on your own is great! As I am going on a bustour to Scotland on Sunday I have to take my medication and infusions with me and do it, possibly on the bus also, but sure it will be manageable somehow.
    I know the driver, I know some of the other passengers as well and most of them are very helpful. Also my lovely husband is with me and he knows what to do if there are problems. But I hope we are going to have a good time watching old Scotland for 9 days!
    Have a great day, sincerely Britta ( from Germany)

    Glad to see you are still on the upswing after the allergy issue the other day! You are awesome, I love watching medical things so watching you prep meds for infusions is actually very interesting to me. I feel that if you were to choose these things I am sure you would probably not wish to have to have infusions, but they are cool to watch being done (at least to me). Thank you for sharing!

    Hi Jaquie! I've been watching your videos for about 18months now. You're videos have helped me get answers to health problems I've suffered with for years! My cardiologist believes I have POTS and I go for my first Tilt Table Test next month to either confirm or rule out POTS - he's pretty certain though - I'm super nervous about it and it got me thinking, what was your first TTT experience like?

    • @ChronicallyJaquie
      @ChronicallyJaquie  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am so humbled to know I have been able to help you in some way! As for the TTT, check out my Dysautonomia video because I talk about it more there. Long story short, it did not hurt but I almost passed out and felt pretty unwell for a while afterwards. It got me a conclusive diagnosis though.

    • @mychronicjourney1804
      @mychronicjourney1804 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for replying! :) My cardiologist said he's 99% sure I will fully pass out, I've been very symptomatic lately and almost passed out 4 times today alone, my vision completely went but I wasn't unconscious, I could still hear and stand but needed to hold onto the bench or bed to stabilise - I hope that makes sense, not fun at all.

    Hi Jaquie! I hope these questions don't sound silly, but here I go. When you do IVIG, must you remain in your home or can you go about your day like if it where regular fluids? I know you stated you can't run your fluids at the same time as your IVIG, but what about your nutrition or does it not matter because it's going thru your stoma and not your port? Thanks for sharing your independent IVIG adventure!😊

    • @ChronicallyJaquie
      @ChronicallyJaquie  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes that button has caused many finger cramps lol! And I think in the video I explained that I have two different pumps. They look the same but IVIG pump has pre-programmed settings.

      Oh yeah but I remembered you saying that in a different video. Lol. So do you put both the kurlin pumps in your vibedration pack? I use the 3L backpack. It carry’s so much and I put it on the back of my wheelchair.

    I'm curious why/how you're able to do it on your own? I've been doing it almost 2 years at home with a nurse and have been told patients aren't allowed to do it themselves. I do my own plain saline so it makes no sense. It's frustrating trying to schedule the nurse to come at a convenient time and if I could do it myself it would solve so many issues.

    • @ChronicallyJaquie

    Be careful. I was just at the IDF conference for PI and the doctors always say to have a nurse there as you never know when you can have a major reaction. I have been doing it for over 10 years and told I should Still have a nurse for ivig. Subcutaneous can be done without a nurse.
