Bro I feel like yearly Chapters are killing Fortnite. Sure, it can be sometimes good for Fortnite, but for the most part it just makes new Chapters get less and less hype. The start of Chapter 2 and Chapter 3 felt REVOLUTIONARY, it was an EVENT every time there was a new Chapter. But now, it just feels like another season. We've gotten THREE CHAPTERS since 2021, but it was THREE YEARS until we got Chapter 3. (Also no matter how much I adore this current Fortnite season, I gotta admit it has lost its spark.)
This is why I miss how phenomenal Ch1 and Ch2 were (mainly Ch2) There was always something unique or fun to look forward to that wasn’t just your stereotypical collab or lackluster update. Now Fortnite is becoming more corporate and taking away the vibrant charm that made Fortnite, Fortnite.
I hope Chapter 6 goes back to more of an old Fortnite, like scrapping bullet drop, attachments and bring back old guns and old locations, gosh I started playing for Zero Build and wish I could play on Chapter 2's named locations they look so good and Fortnite-ish, but the new map, guns and zones are just not it for me. Chapter 4 was better than this imo
Yeah chapter 2 and 3 when it happend was the coolest thing ever and 4 was ok but 5 just didn’t feel like fort nite amd was horrible it was feeling too realistic and just wasn’t the same Fortnite game. Everyone fell in love with.
I started playing fortnite for the first time at the start of this chapter, and although I have had fun with it, all I do is wish that I had picked up the game earlier and started playing during all of those previous chapters that I missed.
One of the things that hurts the most is fortnite coming out with season og only to give everyone a hard slap in the face immediately after with chapter 5, would have been a less drastic transition to go from chapter 4 to 5, but to go from the very beginning to this "modern" stuff is one of the worst things to have ever happened in fortnite.
Gotta be honest OG got boring pretty quick, I'm glad they hopped right back. I do,'t really see any alternate route they could've taken that would've lined up with all the events they had planned for just after season OG, like Lego, Rocket Racing and Festival

I’ve been here since the br game launch, all I can say is that Donald mustard carried the entire game, this game now feels too corporate, this feels soulless.
I remember when new seasons completely changed the chemistry of the game. Look at the switch from ch2s2 to ch2s3. It changed so much stuff that you didn’t even really need ltms because so much thing s had changed. Now they just roll out a crappy battle pass and a few new hot drops
These new seasons lately make me really appreciate all the previous chapters so much more since at times I feel like I rather go back and play those, kinda like how some iPhone players have been stuck in those chapters.
honestly the live events are what make me not want to play the game sometimes, simply because of the way they handle theyre live events. The past three events either didn't work for me or just got stuck in a queue for 3.5 hours past the initial star time. it might be technical issues on my end but its a bit of a turn off when they do them as the thought of something inevitably going wrong always goes through my mind imo.

I love modern day Fortnite as much as the next person, honestly more than the OG days. But I hate the idea that someone can’t call out the game without “hating” also those new game modes got pretty dry pretty quick
The permanent modes are literally just rip-offs of other (better) games which actually took recources away from the story and live events for uninspired roblox metaverse bs. Ltms were way better because you were playing an actual unique game instead of some palletable corporate "experience"
its a mix of youtubers slowing down content, the game becoming more and more a walking advertisement, original game modes (LTMs) and the actual shift in art style the game took after chapter 3. 8:31 this is so true, and i wish that epic realised we dont want a bunch of ARs that look exactly the same and an op spam shotgun. when i played OG i was so happy to just have the weapons i know how to use back and it definitely made my experience a lot better despite the amount of tryhard players i ran into. what we need to keep people playing are more events/LTMs like the high stakes ltm with challenges, (i think the floor is lava mode they brought back was a good start) and a lot more community things if that makes sense. LTM's are genuinely are so fun, and i dont think fortnite knows that they dont have to make a new crazy mode and that the old ones are super fun already. (again, floor is lava.) when they brought back air royale in ch2 s5, it was one of the funnest times ive had playing fortnite, and im sure others will agree LTM's are a big part of their enjoyment aswell. we're in the middle of an avatar mini event, but to me it feels more like an ad then a way to keep the game fresh. next there will be another star wars one, all within the greek themed season and it just ruins the hype for me. its like theyre trying to push these out so people dont get bored but are relying on IPs instead of creating new LTMs or bringing old ones back. like imagine if we had something like marvel knockout but with greek powers. seriously what are they doing? another thing they need to change is relying on the hype of new chapter launches to get everyone online to talk about them again. the chapter 2 launch was insane and thats because of how they literally made it feel like fortnite was going to end and was starting anew. it had never been done before and when they made chapter 2 they heightened the art style and vibe of fortnite along with adding a lot of cool features like throwing consumables, fishing, swimmable water (!!!!), upgrade benches and so on. everyone was talking about the game and the videos coming out at that time made me want to play even more. but now, the game uses chapter launches to refresh peoples thoughts on the game acting like its a new huge upgrade to previous when usually its just the same but with like better graphics and a flatter art style idk. i actually heard that chapter 4 was rushed out and that those seasons were going to take place on the chapter 3 map, so it just shows. anyways, when fortnite gets boring, play a different game and wait for them to make forced hype when they decide to cut this chapter to 4 seasons long.
I think today we got a leak that hasn't been confirmed where it was a bunch of content coming for all the modes where it said or maybe showed that we would get another Marvel season that would lead us into ch2 OG so hopefully this leak is true because I want another Marvel season and ch2 OG ch2 OG would be so good so I hope that leak is true now when will this potential Marvel season happen well next season is probably gonna be a Apocalyptic theme however a Post Apocalyptic theme that would lead into the Marvel season if the leak is true meaning season 4 will most likely be the Marvel season if the leak is true cause lots of people will come or come back to the game especially ch2 players if they left for the potential Marvel season and then for ch2 OG the players that came or returned to the game for the potential Marvel season would most likely stay and maybe more ch2 players would return to the game for ch2 OG
