    Honestly, the only way Copper State could improve their kits would be to add rubber tires. I am absolutely in love with their subject choices, since it's so rare to see a company tackle somewhat obscure armored cars.

    Very impressive finished product! VMS offers a mind-boggling number of specialty products. The dusting process I like and must give it a try myself. I like the color used for the tires, SMS Camo Black. Overall a great model and a unique subject. Thanks to CSM for bringing us all these WW1 era armoured cars.

    Nice one James, that lancia looks ace! It's a nice unusual subject too, love the zig zag markings round the turret! And you're a braver man than me with the laquer dusting, I have had a centurion AVRE on the go for over a year now because I was really happy with the painting and chickened out when it came to doing anything beyond chipping.....I really need to they that thing finished

  • @garylawless3608
    @garylawless3608 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    A great result with this subject James! I am not an experienced or confident modeller, and I sometimes stay away from very detailed weathering, in case I spoil the work I have put into building a model. However I do like to try and get the effects I see others use, and I have to say I have learnt a lot from from your videos. Some of the products you use are hard to find in Australia, but I have found some that are similar, and they seem to work in a similar fashion. I am gaining a few more skills now, thanks to you and a few other guys that I watch work your magic. Looking forward to your next subject. Cheers from Australia 🇦🇺!

      Thanks Gary that's great to hear, I'm actually a bit of a chicken when it comes to new FX and stuff, because I dont want to ruin a build that's being filmed for YT !
      One thing I'm trying like with this is introducing a technique gradually, the laquer chipped dusting is something I have been building up my confidence with and I think I'm at the stage where I can do it without having to worry, I started doing it on smaller or less risky builds and built it up.
      I'm glad the YT community is helping too. Take care !

    It’s nice to see that you’ve used the dusting technique with an airbrush. It’s something I think it is really fallen out of popularity because of pigments.

    Wonderful job one more time .I think a lot of people ask you a lot of think but is it possible when you have free time to make a video for "how to use vms varnish "?It will be very helpful for me and for a lot of modeler maybe

      Roro thankyou for the kind words.
      As far as a tutorial on vms varnish, all I do is put it in the cup no thinning and spray, apart from good spray techniques there isn't much more to it than that. I think spraying varnishes you must make sure your AB is thoroughly clean though

    • @lpjmodels
      @lpjmodels  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Alan sorry for the slow reply. Funnily I started fitting the protector again lately because I was getting shaky hands and bent the needle a bit. I have a sharpen air ( needle sharpener) so it's not a big deal, but it was getting annoying .

    • @lpjmodels

    Hi James, would you recommend adding the 0.15 to my arsenal - can you expand on its benefits?

    • @lpjmodels
      @lpjmodels  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi J E. Benefits, slightly tighter spray cone meaning less theoretical overspray ( as long as you're in the golden range of perfectly thinned paint) that's about it. It's crisper and easier to do fine work.
      The downsides, may struggle with bigger pigments, haven't had this problem yet though .
