Great reaction! You're taking beatbox lessons? You're battling Anthony Ray?! Let's go! Gotta be honest though. Anthony Ray's got some solid basics. He's got a good poly-voice and a sick cough snare. Plus, he just learned how to do the sub-bass liproll. Tbh you got some work cut out for you if you wanna catch up and compete against him 😁. Just learn at your own pace and have fun. The beginning is admittedly slow. I don't remember when my bass drum kick, my tk's, my pf/psh snare became stronger and more polished, but it didn't happen overnight. The inward k snare is probably one of the most important sounds to learn but it took me a few months before I figured it out. The regular liproll took a few months too after spending a a week or two finding the proper mouth position. Other sounds like the poh snare though I got in a day 😅.
If you ever think of entertaining the heavy stuff like inward bass, *drink water* and *take your time* . I can't stress enough how important it is to pace yourself and to stay healthy. To me, learning how to do some of the vocal techniques and other sounds is like learning a particular skateboard trick blindfolded. Lean towards the sounds that you are naturally accustomed to and develop a style that expresses who you are.
