Oh my goodness. I feel the same way. I told my mom that it is wonderful to see her actually be able to have a decent and "loving" relationship with my boys.
This was like it was written by my own mother. She was raised by her father but reconnected with her mother when she had me and allowed my grandmother to help raise me which I respect so much. I love my grandmother to bits

I love Angela. She's not only owning up to her mistakes but also trying to make up for how it has affected her son. She handled that conversation with Mary and Brandan really well, and good job to Mary too for being open to it and receptive to her advice. We don't need another kid coming into the world and being raised by messed up parents.
Thank goodness his mother is in a healthy place and there to share her wisdom. Someone needed to talk some sense into those two because they are simply too emotionally underdeveloped to grasp the mess they're making.

I think Mary has borderline personality disorder.. people with that disorder tend to act or say those things. It’s hard on them but I’m sure she doesn’t mean it when she says those things

I hear you. It is sinister if not manipulative. Mary's social skills are extremely delayed. Her maturity level is at about the age of 12? This is a train wreck.
I knew that eventually something had to click because I know that she really wants to see the grandchild, so she has to find a way to come together.
Angela should go get a degree to become a thearapis, then become the main therapist for the people on this show. She would make bank and ACTUALLY solve the problems they have. She been spitting facts, and mature enough not to have her feelings in the way
Most recovering addicts interested in social work become certified drug counselors, not licensed clinical therapist.

I’m a recovering opiate addict and, for a lot of people that haven’t experienced or understand addiction it’s so fucking hard to stay sober. I relapsed time and time again. Addiction is a process that takes hard work and dedication to keep fighting for that sobriety. I have a 2 year old son but, my addiction still kicks in my head telling myself don’t do it Amy just don’t it’s not worth it. Drugs ruin lives and, let me tell you it’s no lie. Congratulations to this mom to stepping up and, let her addiction take over her life again. I take suboxone every day just to keep fighting sobriety. It’s a struggle every day but, it’s worth it.

My oldest sister used to be favorite sister, she was such a beautiful person to me. When i turned around the same age as Brandon i found out she was an addict but didnt except it until age 18 when i saw her and she was a full blown addict. It was weird and it changed my entire view of her. Worst of all, she has two little boys through this all.
So it's a girl, Mary will say choose its either me or the baby😂

Yeah, I wouldn’t be put off by frog legs and chicken livers specifically, I’m an American and I like them both, they aren’t weird in the southern US. I’d be worried about Mary making anything for someone she sees as a threat, and I wouldn’t risk eating street food prepared in a town where lots of people 💩 in the streets (according to Mary.)

I can relate to Brandon so much. My mother was an addict my entire life. I was raised by my grandmother, and we did not rebuild our relationship until I was in my 20s. She is now a devoted wife and a wonderful grandmother to my son.“You don’t just treat addiction by not using. You treat addiction by creating a life that makes it easier not to.”❤🙏🏽

Mary and Brandon’s mom need to sit down and talk. I think His mom would understand her better. A child is coming into this world and he/she needs all the family to get along! Brandon helped catch those frogs. Frog legs are delicious! The street food now is scary!!
I feel like that would be hard since she also grew up in a Dysfunctional family and I hate to say but Asian parents can be very in denial when it comes to their kid’s childhood trauma and pain, they think they could do no wrong… and especially if they are being confronted about these issues from a white person.
I say that from experience as my husband is Filipino and we’ve had our issues with his family… It took YEARS for my husbands dad to acknowledge and apologize for all the pain he’s inflicted onto his son. It’s definitely hard, they have that mindset where you are raised to handle everything thrown at you and you are not allowed to complain.

She is pushing a lot of childhood pain down and it is affecting her adult life. Hopefully she tries to get help before baby is born. I totally understand what you said, I will take that to heart. Now I call that keeping it real, it isn’t often when a Mother actually says something amazing! It is something that is a real bit of advice that will give them a fighting chance at a great life. Sometimes life and reality collides and make a perfect thing called life,it sounds like hell but because it happened it actually gives them a chance at a real life. Scary,but real is going to take time and effort. It will happen. Be patient be happy by loving and unite!

Brandon’s mother must accept that she created this personality in her son when she choose drugs over her children…he picks toxic women because she put that on him by how she treated her children. She needs to understand that she can’t have what she wants because she’s clean now.
