      It really is so handy! I use it on my tablet because I can't afford a real stream deck. Plus I find this easier to configure and code than the physical ones I have messed with in the past!

    Great Job on the Vids so far they've been a lot of help! Still having problems with Varables though😢 Could use a tutorial on those Please!!!!

    • @beardedink

      Thanks for the kind words! Yes, variables do deserve their own tutorial. Thanks for that idea! In the meantime, don't forget that you can always go to the "Action Queues" tab then the "Action History" tab and find the command you just ran/tested/ Right click on it and choose "Inspect Variables After Run" This will show you the entire list of the variables (on the left) and what they were populated with (right). From here you can tell if you are using the right variables to get the information you need.

      @@beardedink No Problem! Just Being Honest. I have used you tutorials to get me thus far But now stuck again...lol I did Try what you had told me About the Action History Tab But Honestly Bearded, I cant make sense of it. I am the kind of person that learns From watching then doing myself. If you are Wondering I am Trying to Do a Elaborate Cheer Thing. With Gifs, Sounds, and my Cam Now I need a message with user name and number of Bits they donated

    • @beardedink
      @beardedink  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@banditscorner9164 Yeah, it can be tricky at first. But basically the action history list tells you what is being called (variables) and what is being populated in those variables. For example the user name may use the variable %targetUser% and when you look at the action history log, you will look for "targetUser" on the left hand side. If it is there and the right hand side is blank, that means there is an issue populating that variable. If "targetUser" is not there, it usually means you are calling for the wrong variables (using "from user" instead of "from input" in your send to message sub action. Etc. But, it is a place to start. PS bits use %bits% for the number of bits received. Populated by the "get target info from who redeemed" sub action ;)

    Is it possible to use a button from one deck on another deck?
    I don't mean a copy, I mean a link to the functionality and appearance of the 'real' button

    • @beardedink
      @beardedink  7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Interesting question. If I follow you correctly, you have 2 streamer.bot decks running and you want a button on one of them to register the functionality of a button on the other deck?
      I would say not really. Each deck button is connected directly to streamer.bot so, if you connect one deck's button you would simply connect the same action in the second deck.
      If you mean using, say streamer.bots deck to connect to a button on an Elgato deck, it isn't so easily possible. However, if this is the case, we can probably duplicate the functionality without 5he need for the elgato deck.

      @@beardedinkYou're right. Sorry my misunderstanding of how Streamer.bot and the buttons work.
      A button has no functionality other than pointing to an Action which has.
      I keep thinking ìn terms of Sammi where the buttons are the Actions.

    Hi, it's a shame because you forgot to talk about _action input buttons_ and the kinds of actions you can use. For instance, we can add a yes/no confirming pop-up to prevent us from accidentally clicking. I tried to configure it but I don't understand. 😅

    • @beardedink
      @beardedink  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I didn't technically forget. The deck is undergoing a HUGE update, making things a lot easier to use, add people/members to the usage, to layout and settings and even features. Whipstickstopgo doesn't have an ETA for the new release for us yet, though, but the actions input is getting a drastic overhaul (from what he's said) making it more intuitive to use. There is a LOT to the deck (just like everything else in SB) that people are still discovering. This video was to let everyone know it is there. The update vid will go into much more detail and usage examples :)

    • @GuiDaFunkyMan
      @GuiDaFunkyMan หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@beardedink OK I understand. I'm looking forward to this new deck update because although it's "complicated" to set up it works better than Touch Portal. All the tries I've done with it are successful so far.
      On the other hand, I use my phone and the scaling parameters are a bit messy. The 600x600 and 4x4 canva seem to be good but some of my own images I added are still small. I hope the future update will fix that.
      Your tutorial was helpful anyway. 👌

    • @beardedink
      @beardedink  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @GuiDaFunkyMan The new update is out and live. Comes with SB 2.4, I just felt it deserved it's own tutorial video so I am going over everything I can before I make it. Also, the scaling is a bit awkward for smaller screens. For these I would highly recommend not using icons or images and instead using button background colors and simple text for grouping. But you can always pinch-zoom to make them larger, you just may accidentally hit a button when moving around lol

      @@beardedink Oh so the deck has changed since the latest patch? 🤔 OK. Anyway, I only use the basic buttons. They suit me so far. Currently, my main issue is the size of the interface on mobile. Luckily, I found an old tablet I let into a drawer and I'll check what I can do with it. 🤓 At least, I'll follow your instructions and remove icons/images.

      @@GuiDaFunkyMan The deck is undergoing updates and changes. Nothing "official" has been released, but there are small things that have changed slightly since this video. The core concept is the same though, of course.

    Unfortunately I have tried using the deck on both my cells and tablet and it doesn't recognize that I am pushing the buttons. I know the buttons work since I test on PC and it works with no problem :(

      There could be a few reasons for this. It will depend on your settings and a few other factors. On the deck edit page look at the top right corner. Make sure it says "Connected" with a green wifi symbol. Also, make sure you are using the link to the URL from the "Launch Deck" tab and not the Edit Deck tab. Finally, if all of that is correct, click the little monitor icon (to the right of the WiFi symbol) to turn on remote connection and try it that way. Many tablets, phones and laptops won't push through your local connection and need the remote instance instead.
