Yes me too. I did this a few years ago and reduced my stash but then during the pandemic my dreams overtook my sewing actions. I think it would serve me better to plan the project and then purchase the fabric!

Please check your sounds though, the last 3 or 4 videos have had an odd echo or something I don’t even know how to explain but I’ve had to turn the volume down very low so I could listen without it hurting my ears. My sewing resolution is to just sew as much as I can. Yes, I want to use what I have. Yes, I want to work on the 9 patterns I chose for my Make Nine. However, I know a year is a long time, so I won't beat myself up if I stray from that stuff. Sewing is my happy place and I want to keep it that way. Thanks for the video!
I’m old, a few years ago I was reading a book on dying,, it’s normal. Anyway it mentioned something about what you would be embarrassed if your children found. My only reaction was my fabric. I have more fabric than any one could use in one lifetime. So my resolution is to not buy any more fabric until summer. I’ll never make it through the whole year, so I thought summers a good compromise that I can reach!! Seriously, if my daughter needs to make something she shops at my fabric first.. it’s embarrassing. But in the desire to be completely honest, some was given to me. But most was bought by me! Maybe this year I needs to resolve to buy a better chair to sew in! After an hour or so my back hurts too much…. Yeah.. that’s a better resolution! 😂😂😂
Happy New Year. My sewing resolution is to sew what I need rather than what I want, might be a challenge! I have been resisting making trousers, other than very simple elasticated waist, so cracking trouser making is hopefully on the cards 😊xx

Welcome back Kate! I've declared 2023 to be my "year of the wearable toile" because I'm no longer a complete beginner and maybe (hopefully?) I don't need to make at least two cheap mockups of every single garment anymore 😅 Although this may be wishful thinking...either way I will enjoy the process! 🪡💙🧵
I wanna sew what i have planned in my head😅. I have almost finished my witerthur coat from itch to stitch. Than i want to make a pair of trousers, worker trouser by the modern sewer. Than a capecoat , lemon pie from waffle patterns, than a vogue shirt/dress...and than i have hopefully still some of the year left for making a summer dress.
Love watching your videos and all the great sewing inspiration. However, the sound quality is a bit poor. I don’t know what kind of setup you film on but perhaps using an external microphone would help.

My resolution is to sew all the fabrics I have, not to buy any fabrics ONLY IF NECESSARY. If it's not a problem for you, can you name fabrics suggestions that u would choose besides what pattern says. I'm interested in maybe if u see something different. My sewing resolution: handle that scrap pile! I've already gotten done 6 shirts. I have 6 tshirt more to go plus all the other fabric scraps 🙈
