Just returned from seeing Sweeney Todd in NYC. Joe’s singing, acting, and timing were all fantastic. You can tell that he is in his element, having a good time, and at home with the cast; especially Sutton and Aaron. Just fabulous!
I saw it Saturday afternoon. The acting chemistry between Joe and Sutton was wonderful to witness. Loved “Pirelli’s Miracle Elixir” - what fun! Sutton’s comedy in “By the Sea” was hysterical. Joe’s acting at the end… amazing! What a joy it was to see him perform.
I know he did musical theatre growing up, but to my untrained ear this sounds like a singer who's had training, clear, good vibrato, perfect for some musical theatre. I hope this gives him the confidence in his voice, that he can do musical theatre and that dream is alive. I say this because in the car interview with kit he said he would like to do musical theatre, but didn't know if he had the voice for it and this proves he very much does in this role.
My gosh, it’s such a tender sound; so clear. He’s a natural tenor ❤ his upper reg is so fabulous, bright and tender in this role. His fan base is now gunna go through the roof now 😊 Joe, what a talent you have…congrats
“You don’t sound very gay. Do you like musicals?” Harry called it! Seriously though, what a stunning voice and control. Surprisingly strong and clear, considering how soft and gentle he sounds when he plays Charlie. I hope we’ll get to hear more of it.
He sounds wonderful easily of one my favorite versions of this song. That last note is everything. I need him to take on more theater especially Sondheim. (As I am a huge Sondheim fan.)
I will never get over how talented the cast of Hearstopper is, this is just another amazing example! Joe has a great voice! That last "in time" especially, are you kidding me! So good!
Once upon a time I maintained that _Heartstopper's_ impact was so massive that its leads could find it difficult to outshine their performances there. I was SO wrong!!
he is so beyond excited and happy to be there i love all his lil clips and pics he puts on ig. he is so deserving of this! makes me sad that his experience is so tainted by bullies and haters and homophobes coming for him, though. poor boy.

seeing him succeed despite all his haters and the homophobes and the bullies and all those constantly doubting him, shading him, laughing at him .... for me, it's the best feeling. he prooved them all wrong. but honestly, I wish he wouldn't have had to face all this nasty harassement. seeing the police at stage doors sadly meant sweeneytodd did take the threats seriously, I'm glad, but sorry that Joe Lock's experience was nearly overshadowed by this.
@@kaitlynrowena5463 it was so so sooo bad genuinely sick to my stomache. there was a small but very loud group of trolls/bullies/homophobes harassing joe for WEEKS the whole january spamming his ig - still do it to this day but someones now monitoring joes ig acc - and on twitter as well and making daily petitions on petition org filled with the most disgusting, homophobic sh*t ever and even filled with actual threats re joes safety. st team was alarmed, joe now has security and police team there, police is involved too.
the police were there for the sake of security at the stagedoor just due to the amount of people. part of the street was, if I'm correct, shut down due to how many people were there. just extra security, happens anytime theres a ton of people around since there's only like 4 security guards at the theater outside. just extras in case of anything!
Oooh ok so it’s a normal Broadway thing they do no matter the fast famous or not? Is that also why he(and I guess other famous peeps) arrive and travel in black big SUV’s? They’re security? Just something I’ve noticed recently all the same car lol

There's typically not as much security, like the majority of times I've seen shows there has just been like 3-4 security guards but especially on major nights (debuts, final performances...etc) there is typically an increase. just crowd control mostly. keeps everyone safe, makes sure other actors leaving also can get out too. Some actors don't do SUVs even the most major stars but it depends on where they live or just fan base like Ben Platt and Micaela Diamond had a car for Parade while Aaron Tveit just strolled in from the subway when he was in Moulin Rouge. It depends solely on the person, and even just what they are comfortable with.
I was actually pissed when I found out he was cast. Don’t get me wrong I absolutely love Heartstopper, but I thought it was stunt casting. I have been proven wrong and I am now desperate to get tickets Update: I got tickets!
